This place breathes some seriously fresh air into the ice cream shop scene. Lately, all ice cream shops have to be super hip, trendy, and have flavors like lavender mint caviar. However, Bliss brings us back to basics - a "Thrifty" style selection of 15 or 20 flavors that are just... normal and solid and reasonably priced. You go in, pick out a flavor, they put it in a cone or cup or waffle... and you're on your way. No mix ins or weighing needed! When I went, they didn't have any seating indoors due to COVID, but they had a few tables with umbrellas outside. It's not a great spot to sit and have ice cream (Ave D is pretty busy), but it's fine. However... a better option would be to go out back, behind El Paraiso, to Ferguson Park and have a walk around or sit under a tree on the grass. That's good summer vibes right there.

We did not even drink water for an hour as we did not want to let go of the taste. The Butterscotch was the best we have ever had! Creamy & Delicious which just melts in your mouth. Salted caramel was a standard option you cannot go wrong with and it did not disappoint! We tasted Pistachio which was not to our liking. We did try Lemon Ginger flavor which had strong ginger crystals. It was unique flavor! Their 6 scoop tasting for $10 seems like an unique offer and will get it next time! Ample parking and outdoor seating as well!

Stopped by to check out this new creamery. I really appreciated the variety of vegan/non-diary ice cream as I love ice cream but ice cream does not love me. I tried the vegan cookie butter and the vegan s'mores. The vegan s'mores was considerably better than the vegan cookie butter. The probably with the cookie butter was it was not a strong enough flavor to compete against the coconut ice cream. I probably would make a better traditional ice cream. My family tried the blackberry and mint chip and said they were really delicious.

Solid ice cream. Like all the fun flavors. They have a good ice cream texture. I will say it's a bit on the pricey side but most ice cream is now a days, and when it's small batch it does go that way. Snohomish in general is getting expensive and everyone is trying to support a family so I don't knock on that. The staff was very friendly. It can definitely be a wait because of low staffing. read more

Spotted this Creamery while I was trying to locate the UPS Store. Small ice cream place with some variety flavors. Not many customers were around when I walked in. They do have some regular flavors and some Seasonal specials as well. Ambiance is very cool. I went for their house favorite - Butterscotch Oatmeal Cookie on a cone. The ice cream was very decent. Not sweet as I expected. Having said that the price of a single scoop was around $7 + taxes. That's a it outrageous to be fair for the quantity and quality! Friendly staffs - service is great. It's ok place for me! Kids may love it because of flavor varieties! read more

Great small business. Ice cream shop ambiance is a little plain and kind of boring. Service was friendly. Ice cream was amazing. I enjoyed the grit city! It's a toffee type ice cream with coffee grounds! All good. We also got fudgey brownie, summer strawberry, cookie dough, and honey vanilla. Everyone loved their ice cream. read more

I came here with the kiddos. I tried many non-dairy flavors for myself but couldn't find one I like so I ordered the kiddos what they wanted. The ice cream was good and I like that the sprinkles they had didn't have any dyes. If we are in the area and the kids want a treat I would come here to get them a treat. read more

Our family loves visiting here for this ice cream. All colors/ice creams are made from organic plants/herbs. I love the no added dyes! Customer service has always been kind. I would love to see them start doing milkshakes. Love the homemade waffles cones. Highly recommend. read more

the most mid $6 ice cream i've ever had! service was fine/good, but I swear I had to TRY to taste what I was eating if you know what I mean. it was just so bland? it was as if the flavor was at 65% intensity... $7 after tax for a single scoop, i'd skip this place for sure. read more

We finally stopped in today for the first time. It was about 7 min before they opened which is at 1:00 pm. So there were 4 adults and two kids waiting, 3 separate families total of seven people waiting for the doors to open. The girl opened the door, didn't say hi or even acknowledge anyone. She then walked out the doors and proceeded to put up all the umbrellas on the tables outside for a good 5 min. We left at that point, and I don't know about the other people. We decided to go to a different ice cream place downtown. Wasted over 15 min for a bad attitude and no Ice cream. Ridiculous! read more

Cake tasted great but expected a little more visually. $75 bucks and they couldn't write happy birthday and the kids name on it, the paper thing made it look cheap. The suckers and candy looked thrown on top. Let whoever made the cake get creative! read more

Had never been before and stopped after Mexican food. Hubby and I both had double large scoops, and his was on a waffle cone. We were shocked to pay over $20. We took the ice cream to our car to eat. Both of us looked at each other after our first bite. All 4 flavors had so many ice particles, it took a good while to figure out the flavors. We could hear each other crunch on the ice. This did not have a creamy texture whatsoever. I had rocky road and fudge brownie. While the brownie was easy to spot and a decent amount, the rocky road had zero nuts or marshmallows. read more

Ice cream was fine, service and environment questionable. Went there and the cashier had their friends hanging out in the shop while they worked. As a family of color the experience was not pleasant as the friends of the cashier made it uncomfortable through their ignorant remarks and conversations they were clearly not trying to keep quiet about along with their stares. The employee working must not be mature enough to teach their friends decorum while running a business. read more

I went to go get Icecream for my 4 year old daughter and I on my birthday. We absolutely had the worst service ever!!! The employee barely said hello it was like pulling teeth to get a smile and when I asked if my daughter could taste some flavors it was the the end of the world happened!! My 4 year old even said that the girl that worked there was sooo rude!! We will never ever go back and it's too bad as we live down the street. I do not recommend to anyone. Plus it's so expensive for okay Icecream. Worst service be I have ever experienced!! Horrible just horrible place!! read more

Lovely ice cream, tried Butter Pecan, Rocky Road, and Honey Vanilla. Really liked all three. I'm a Rocky Road nut (no pun intended) so was jazzed to see that flavor! The Rocky Road has a good deep chocolate taste and slivered almonds, not sickly sweet. You can actually taste the honey in Honey Vanilla! Didn't love the Butter Pecan's texture but very generous with the pecans- pecans in every bite, which is unusual. Nice selection of flavors plus nondairy flavors. Brought home three pints! Pleasant staff, clean store. Looking forward to a return trip to try other flavors! Will especially love this during the summer, but why wait? read more

The place was very dirty. The floor was filthy and the ice cream cases looked as if it had never been cleaned. No napkins and to top it off there was a half empty drink off some kind in the case with the ice cream. I think it belonged to one of the employee. We won't be back. read more

A great addition to Snohomish for a spur of the moment dessert treat . Best ice-cream possible. Quality is impressive. On 3rd visit within 10 days, staff continued to be professional and offered their suggestions for the extensive variety of ice cream options. The vegan options and made on the spot waffle cones are also a nice touch. Prices are competitive and a nice change from Baskin Robbins. Also very Kid friendly. read more

History

Established in 2018.

Inspired by their high school job at the Snohomish Baskin Robbins in the 90's, Sisters and SHS Alumni Theresa & Stacie created Bliss Small Batch Creamery. They started making ice cream together and opened their first ice cream shop in University Place, Washington in 2018. In 2020 their ice cream dream came full circle with the opportunity to open up a Bliss Small Batch Creamery location in the very same Baskin Robbins space in Snohomish where the ice cream dream began. They currently offer 3 scoop shop locations in University Place (Tacoma), Snohomish and Dupont and seasonally operate several mobile units for catering and events.

Hi! We are Theresa & Stacie, Sisters & Co-Founders of Bliss Small Batch Creamery. We grew up in Snohomish and worked at this location in high school back when it was Baskin Robbins. My 18 year old daughter and I looked at each other, and I think we were both thinking the same thing. I told the girl behind the counter "forget it" and we walked out of there. On our way out I said to my kids out loud, "sorry guys, I don't think the workers want to stay any longer than they have to." It is obvious that if there is ice cream for the pie scream, there IS also ice cream for the shakes: ice cream goes with both! I wasn't born yesterday, and they could've just told me to my face- and I would've been okay with it- "sorry we're about to close and we don't have time to make your orders", instead of making up some bs about "not having ice cream" when clearly they did. I would've totally been fine had she been honest about having to close soon. I just don't like being lied to. Regardless, if the workers do not want to serve customers 10 minutes before closing, perhaps think about locking the front doors so no customer comes in. Or, put the sign that reads "closed". Customers are not idiots, are more likely forgiving if you're honest, and they're the reason why a place exists and the workers get paid. One star for tonight's customer service only.

For lunch/dinner, I've been into their McCripsy sandwiches lately - the Deluxe, Spicy McCrispy, specifically. However, 2 double cheeseburgers after hiking always hits the spot. Pricing isn't great anymore... I feel like I used to be "satisfied" with the price of stuff I bought at McDonalds, but now, for a similar price I can get takeout from a "real restaurant" -- and with online ordering being so prevalent, it can be similarly convenient. So, I very rarely go to McDonalds, and it's almost never my idea because of that. This location is always pretty fast - I've ordered online and in the drive-thru. Online ordering is a little weird... they don't greet you or acknowledge you (maybe it's intentional -- like giving people what they want (zero contact, lol)) - but it kind-of feels like you're sneaking in and stealing food. Drive-thru is only annoying if the line is really long or they put you in one of the 3 spots to wait for something. However, if they do that, it means they're making something fresh which is always worthwhile. Inside, they have some ordering kiosks. Not sure if they take human-based orders or not, but I assume they expect you to use the kiosk usually. Most of the interior is a play-area that's not as cool as the old one you'll see in some pics here. Because of that, there aren't a ton of tables - maybe 5-7 of them, but that's almost certainly enough for everything but the biggest rushes (like an event ending at the High School nearby or something).

I understand not having many, but to have no GF choices is just not great these days. My husband with celiac disease had very few options. 2) Need more and reservable outside seating. Especially on the beautiful days (like this one was) - having to sit inside was a big bummer. They had more tables outdoors but we were told those were waiting areas and that we couldn't eat there. Anyway - a good spot and an even better one if they made just a couple changes.

While we first discovered these olive oils and vinegars in a similar shop in Victoria BC, they are available in Snohomish and on Bainbridge Island. In addition to olive oil and balsamic vinegar, the shop has all kinds of associated items -- pouring spouts and the like. While we tasted a great many flavors of olive oil, and quite a few balsamic vinegars, we keep going back to the same favorites time after time: * Traditional balsamic vinegar * Tuscan herb infused olive oil There are many other interesting flavors, but these stand the test of time. And while one can use them to make a great oil-and-vinegar dressing on a salad, our favorite way to consume them is with a fresh good-quality baguette, ideally made the same day by a real french bakery (like La Parisienne in Seattle). A little oil in a dish, a little balsamic vinegar poured through it, then a hunk of baguette dipped in the balsamic-tuscan-herb mixture. Yum!! The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, and it's hard to go wrong with any of the choices. Well worth a drive to get high quality ingredients. We are big fans.

We couldn't just leave without buying anything after that careful selection and recommendations from her as she was super knowledgeable and sweet! I think this time we'll definitely come back with some families visiting. After this visit, we ended up buying the cranberry, pomegranate and peach balsamic for future mocktails and maple balsamic with tuscan olive oil.

Double checked...Dairy free means no milk, cream, yogurt, butter etc. so I look for labels that says DV, V. There's also paleo, keto options. As someone who hasn't been eating butter based pastries due to doctor's orders, this bakery is like finding gold. Our favorite after 2 visits are their vegan dairy free sea salt chocolate chunk cookie, their classic GF big chocolate chip cookie, vegan dairy free banana macadamia nut muffin, and my absolute favorite is their dairy free vegan sweet strawberry scone (with rhubarb, flax and coconut). I typically find scones to be bland and dry. Not these! I enjoyed these so much they were so moist and delicious but what I love most is the chewy bits on the edge. My hubby is a chocolate fiend but he usually get sluggish and sick to his stomach after inhaling a large chocolate pastry from other bakery. He ate their large size classic chocolate chip cookie and it didn't bother him. Tasted amazing too! Their sourdough is one of a kind. It's piping hot and available on a daily basis while supplies last. Nobody offers gluten free artisan sourdough fresh out of the oven on a walk in basis.
