Ashlynn and Lauren were my planners. On our wedding day they cost us $11,000 because they forgot to cover the dance floor and it rained. Afterwards, the event company sent us an email proving that they had reminded Lauren to cover the dance floor at the end of the night. When we approached them with this they basically shrugged me off. Bliss is 0-2 in my books. I had written the first review for Bliss on Yelp, and had started with 4 stars then dropped it to 2 because I was so disappointed in the turn out. When you first go to Bliss you feel welcomed and they seem to know what they are doing. But they had some major errors in my wedding and I can't look past them. - I had paid X amount of dollars for petals in the aisle. ALL of our paperwork said silk petals, so when you think of the amount of silk petals you can get for X amount of dollars, I was expecting truckloads. Turns out they brought real. and the were beige/off white and they died almost instantly. I was so disappointed. We did not send in our final payment, due to this and other things. This is what my first review talked about and more errors from Bliss, but the OWNER of Bliss, Teresa called me and wanted to pay me off to erase my review off yelp. She sent me 75$ of gift cards and called and called and called and called until I deleted it. Here are some quotes from her childish emails to me::: "Your post has been listed for all the world to see for 6 months. Don't you think we have suffered enough?" "But I am tired of letting this eat at me every day. I am tired of thinking of this while I am with my family. I am tired of being scared of each and every bride that they might post something. If I could go back and change your flowers I would. If I could go back and taken your wedding myself so there was no chance of Jen having to go through this, I would. If I could go back and give you all your money back to not have to think about this for the last 6 months, I would. I would do anything to make this whole situation go away." I cannot handle the immaturity of the owner, sending me these emails. So I finally deleted my review. Until my best friend just got married last weekend and went through Bliss, only because I had promised her it would be amazing. She booked before my actually wedding and ergo couldn't back out once she saw how unhappy I was. Everything went wrong. The bride's mother and I were out doing Bliss's work so late that the wedding time had to get pushed back. Here are just a few details that occurred, I'm leaving out some of the more minor details: --The special furniture pieces were ALL put in the wrong spots, so we were moving big floor to ceiling mirrors, couches, tables, etc from the ceremony cite up to the reception area. (me, the bride's mom, & her aunt) --I was putting the cushions on the chairs until about 15 minutes before it started. WHY wasn't Bliss putting on the cushions? I'm not sure. --The guestbook was not set out. --The bubbles for the end of the ceremony were no where to be found, until I found them up at the winery in a box. Why were they not down with the reception things? --The boutonnieres and flowers were not in the bridal suite so I had to go find them & put the boutonnieres on. --The couple did a wine box ceremony, and I SAW the mother hand the day of coordinator all the things for the wine box. Their letters, seals & etc but when ceremony time came there were NO SEALS. Brittney was so embarrassed, they had to fake sealing their box. --The part that just killed me and Brittney off was when the "day of coordinator" asked me, during the reception, to go find Brittney's overnight bag and her dress bag, to put in their getaway car. SHE ASKED ME RIGHT IN FRONT OF BRITTNEY, and brittney was like...."Isn't that your job?" Obviously, why would I want to leave my friend's wedding to do your job!?!?! PLUS Bliss knew that I was "THE LeeAnn" that had ruined their reputation online, and yet she STILL was asking me to do their work. They were supposed to arrive at 9:30 AM to get everything ready. When we arrived at 3:30 nothing was done. What had these girls been doing for 6 hours?! I have no idea. Plus what was Kristen, the day of coordinator so busy doing during the reception that she was asking me to do her work? I have no idea. But I will tell you one thing. Regardless of who contacts me and what threats they email and call me with, I will not be deleting this review. Thanks to Teresa and Kristin at Bliss, the only thing I had to think about on my wedding day was how grateful, blessed, and lucky I was to be surrounded by so many loved ones and marrying the most wonderful man I had ever met. Everything about my experience working with them in wedding design and planning was superb. Their design talent is evident to anyone driving by their well-decorated showroom windows or browsing their posts online, but I want to write more deeply about the planning process, and how smoothly everything went during the nine months leading up to my ceremony at the Cathedral of the Rockies and reception at the Boise Train Depot. As a long-distance bride, I worked with both Kristin and Teresa via Skype sessions about once a month leading up to the wedding, and we corresponded via email in between. Kristin managed my day of coordination. She offered great venue insight - guest experience, sound and lighting quality, time of day and season, and many other considerations that never would've occurred to me without her expertise. It was so valuable to be able to discuss Pinterest and other wedding ideas, and work through the planning timeline together. Her guidance was spot-on and her follow-up was unparalleled - whenever she said she would have something complete, it was complete. Teresa managed my wedding design. She created and updated my personalized virtual design board with colors, centerpieces, flowers, and every other detail possibly imaginable. She even helped me find a new bouquet just weeks before the wedding. I thought it would be nice to have some childhood pictures, but didn't have time to print the them - Teresa took care of it. Her graphic designer created some signage that coordinated with the font and style of my invitation. She took copious notes during our conversations, and managed all the detail tremendously. I was lucky to arrive in Boise about a week before my big day. The three of us met to walk through the day, confirm final details, look at my complete table setting, and checkout the Etsy items I had mailed directly to Bliss. Kristen completed all of the vendor confirmations - it was such a huge relief to know everyone was onboard with the day's events without contacting them individually. At the rehearsal Kristin gave everyone in the wedding party a timeline with events for the next day, so there wasn't a question about who should be where and when. I was able to truly relax and enjoy the evening. My wedding day was idyllic. Teresa and Kristin are the wedding masters. The Cathedral and the Depot were both sublime. The flowers were stunning. All of the big moments happened on time, and all of my guests had a great time, which was especially important to me since 75 of them had travelled from out of state. Mixed experience. Overall everything looked beautiful. The quality and set up were excellent. However, when I received the final bill, it was 20% higher than the estimate. My daughter had been making the arrangements and gave them a max budged which they exceeded. We never received an updated estimate. I understand an estimate is an estimate, not a firm bid, but at an additional 20%, as the person who signed their contract, I felt I should have received a new estimate. They had my email, but didn't feel they needed to update the estimate. While my daughter or I should have asked for an updated estimate, I consider it a businesses responsibility to do an update. I trusted that they would update it for a significant change. Additionally there were a couple of hiccups at the actual wedding with coordination, which we paid for. The number places at the tables was reported to my daughter incorrectly and our seating chart was unusable. Fine. Stuff happens, but Bliss did not take care of it, rather than an apology, I got an entirely different explanation than what actually happened. "He said, she said" I paid the final bill and gave Bliss feedback. The reply was more of an excuse than a "We'll use this to do better job". That was really all I was expecting. It has been nearly four months since our big day, and this review is long over-due! We were so very pleased with the quality, and professionalism of Teresa and Bliss Events! Teresa went above and beyond anything we expected. She listened to us, took our ideas and ran with them! The process from start to finish was painless, easy and fun. I'm a woman and sometimes that means I like to change my mind. They put up with all my changes and requests still managing to make me feel normal! The decorations were breathtaking! And the ceiling treatment for the C.W. Moore?! Absolutely amazing! You took my one concern and turned it into one of my favorite parts of the location. The Bliss team offered innovative ideas that truly set our wedding apart. The flower arrangements, bouquets and centerpieces were perfect in every way. They were able to take my basic suggestions and transform them into something truly fabulous. Probably the best part is that we didn't lift a finger! I absolutely LOVE Bliss Events and can't say enough wonderful things about them!!! We used them twice in one year for both of my daughter's weddings and couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of both of the events thanks to Bliss Events. The weddings were both 300+ guests, formal and had many details to coordinate. We were contracted with another wedding planner originally and were having some major problems with follow up and communication from her before I called Bliss for my eldest daughter's wedding. Two months before the wedding, completely stressed, feeling thoroughly ignored, we made the difficult decision to terminate the contract with the "other wedding coordinator". We were very uneasy about this due to the close proximity of the wedding. We called Bliss, met with them and had everything put together in no time with selections made, pricing in place and finally peace of mind! Bliss might be one of the best small businesses in the Treasure Valley. I worked with them since early January of 2012, until my wedding on October 20th. From the very beginning, Teresa, the owner, has been there as not only my planner, but a friend as well. When someone (a girl I knew barely six months) tried to bully me into changing my date because mine was "too close" to hers, Teresa helped me stand my ground. The date was chosen due to family timing (both parents live out of state), and the timing of the venue I always wanted plus when Bliss's services were available. We were given appropriate advice and the end result was truly a magical place. My husband and I were referred to Bliss Events by a friend, who had a great experience with Bliss last year. We met with Teresa in February to discuss decoration & coordination for our June wedding. My husband and I had a great impression of Bliss from the moment we walked in the door. Everyone was extremely professional, and Teresa was very receptive & excited about our ideas and regarding the look and feel of our wedding. Once booked we had the opportunity to meet several times with both Teresa (our decorator) and Jenee (our coordinator). The meetings with Teresa helped us put ideas into action, we were able to glean a lot of information from Teresa about things other couples have tried with/without success. Our meetings with Jenee kept us on track moving toward our special day on our short timeline. Then she became our vendor contact, created a timeline, and confirmed everything with the vendors prior to the wedding. The day of the wedding was seamless. The decor was amazing. When I walked into to our venue and saw our setup it was better than I could have imagined. Teresa took the time to get to know us and understand our vision, which allowed her to create something that was better than anything we could have dreamed. Our wedding was nearly a month ago and our friends and family are still talking about how gorgeous our wedding was... from the ceremony to reception and most of all the flowers. I had been working with a representative from Bliss for months to get decor planned out For our tables at our wedding. At one point the representative I was working with left the company. I was then introduced to a new rep, which was fine. I was planning everything in advance because I know how busy everyone is. I made sure to let the rep know how important a certain date was for me because that's when I was meeting at my venue and getting things finalized. I asked for a few times from Bliss for that day so that I could design a trial table. The rep created a quote for me and let me know I needed to pay a deposit so that we were confirmed clients. The next couple of days as I was going to send in my deposit I received an email from the rep (two days before my trial day) that said they essentially had to give my items to something that "just came up" and "sorry for the inconvenience." This obviously made no sense to me because I repeatedly told this rep how important this day was but that was obviously disregarded. This left me to scramble and figure something else out. This is definitely alarming because they could do this same thing to you on your wedding day!!! It didn't feel like they would do whatever it takes to make your day special. read more

Wow! Just wow! My husband and I live out of state and worked with Lindsey and the Bliss team for slightly over a year to put together our winter wedding. Lindsey nailed it!! We relied heavily on her opinion and expertise for design, layout and timeline. There was no detail left untouched. Going with Bliss was the best choice we made for our wedding. Melissa did our decor and Kristin was our day of coordinator! They both worked so well with myself, my mom (who lives in another state) and my now husband to create the perfect day! It felt almost effortless to me. Bliss kicked it out of the park! If I had to boil it down to one phrase, that is what I come up with. My husband and I were both involved in the wedding planning, i.e., we had opinions and ideas that we shared with Mandy at Bliss, and we had great communication in terms of describing our vision, which she and team would translate into mock-ups for us to review. (Ok, so there was some back and forth, but that is exactly why you have multiple reviews!) So, we had some idea as to what the wedding was actually going to look like....until I (and I'll say "we" because we both felt the same way) saw it "The Day Of." It was stunning! It was amazing! It was more beautiful than I could have imagined! Better yet, my mother who fashions herself an interior decorator and event planner (she had planned my sisters wedding two decades before) and is also prone to criticizing the imperfect details, came up to me IN AWE at how beautiful it was. In fact, at the end of the night, she told me, "It was lovely," and if anything had gone awry, she didn't notice. In fact, one thing did go awry, the caterers forgot the coffee service that we had added at the last minute! However, Mandy noticed this and we got coffee minutes before it was needed! (I didn't even notice this until after the fact.) My husband and I are what I would call, fairly low maintenance. However, we had strong opinions about what we would spend money on (photography!) and not spend money on (frilly chairs, silverware). For those of you reading this review, I would say our wedding cost was about average to below average, so Bliss can help couples of any budget -- and are absolutely worth it. We started planning early (more than a year out), so we were able to pace ourselves over the year. Having Bliss provide us with a game plan/time line was exceedingly helpful and, whenever I felt nervous, I could just review the timeline and realize that everything was "under control." Also, having Bliss handle equipment rental, set up/take down, flowers, invitations, and critically, reviewing contracts made coordination very easy, and I suspect cost efficient. I miss Mandy and Teresa. Just as a note, given the negative review below, when we first went to Bliss we thought they were going to be too "hoity-toity" for us, but our initial meeting with Teresa put those fears to rest. We addressed those concerns immediately with her and we enjoyed her so much, we chatted for almost 2.5 hours that night! We LOVED Teresa and Mandy. In fact, I am happy that we have wedding photos that include both Teresa and Mandy because they were such an integral part of our wedding. So, getting back to the wedding, I'm not sure I can give Bliss all the credit for the magic of that day (I mean, our love and families had something to do with it!), but darn near!! They certainly set the stage for all the magic to happen. And, I feel blessed. They provided the set up and clean up allowing my family time to enjoy the day and be in the moment with me and my husband. From flowers to decor to day of wedding coordination I did not have to worry about a thing. The first review is completely off base. I'm in complete shock and feel it's ridiculous. My wedding was 2 weeks ago and it was PERFECTION. We chose Bliss last year after interviewing several other event planners and felt completely confident from day one in making that choice. Now, a year later, as we reflect back on our wedding day two weeks ago we are still so in awe of the incredible job Melissa, Kristin, Mackenzie and Jessica did in making our wedding day so beautiful! In the middle of our wedding planning we moved from Boise to Arizona and were very uncertain in planning a wedding from another state--but our Bliss team made it completely effortless! They took care of every design and day-of detail and more. Kristin made sure our timeline ran smoothly from start to finish, she took care of minor vendor hiccups with grace and assertiveness, and even made sure we had drinks in our hands throughout the entire wedding day--every little detail was handled! She treated all of our friends and family with compassion and we will absolutely miss working with her! Melissa made my hollywood glam dreams come true! When I walked into my venue I was completely blown away from the spectacular decor she had created for us. Melissa can see your wedding design vision and run with it. But most importantly, and certainly something dear to our hearts was the fact that the Bliss girls were planning a non-traditional wedding in Boise was of no concern to them and they made us feel so comfortable and truly taken care of. Where do I even begin?! The women at Bliss were so helpful, friendly, and resourceful from beginning to end! They know so much about decor, vendors, coordination, and make sure every base is covered when you go through them. They were able to make the most out of the budget, which I thought was awesome! They didn't push for things that were too pricey, either. My husband and I were married at the Train Depot, and it looked beautiful with Bliss's help!! The warehouse has sooooo many fun things to rent, which is nice so that you don't have to buy a bunch of stuff you probably won't use again. My bridal party alone had 11 girls, and our coordinator did an AMAZING job of making sure all of us were up to date and where we needed to be at all times. The staff here are so welcoming and invested in every wedding that they are a part of! They're the best! read more

I just had my wedding last weekend and cannot say enough how perfect everything turned out. We worked with Candice at Bliss, and from the start I was impressed by her willingness to work closely with us and ensure our vision for the wedding was honored. Even though I live in Texas and was planning my wedding from afar, I never felt as though I was at a disadvantage. I highly recommend Bliss if you are planning from a distance, because I feel they went out of their way to calm my concerns. Through face-time chats and Pinterest boards, I was able to give Candice an idea of what I wanted and when I walked in on my wedding day I couldn't believe how perfect everything was. I couldn't have put it together better myself. She truly "got" me and my vision and made sure everything was cohesive and beautiful. On the day of, it was wonderful to be able to relax and enjoy my friends and family knowing hat the set-up and decorating was taken care of, that vendors were being met, and early guests were greeted and made to feel welcome. During the wedding, Candice made sure I was ok, drinking water, and had time to eat. I was 6months pregnant, and she was so kind to make sure I was taking care of myself , in a kind and unobtrusive way. After the wedding, extra food, gifts, and flowers were all packed and loaded into our cars by Bliss staff, so neither me nor my parents oh ad to worry about that chore at the end of the long day. Truly priceless. :) I would recommend Bliss and Candice a hundred times over! read more
