I am in a high end Essilor Varilux lenses and Silhouette Titanium frames. Their prices on frames are better than other optical stores I visited. They checked with the laboratory to see which Varilux X lenses were best for me. They told me that the most expensive lens was not needed. Jocelyn suggested that I reuse my existing frames to save money. Other optical stores wanted to sell me new Silhouette frames if I wanted a guarantee from them. I will not go any place else for glasses.

I can relate 2 events that disappointed me. When I visit an optometrist, I do not expect my appointment to entail a sales pitch about the optical center or to hear that the glasses I had were sub-standard (because they were not purchased on site). On another occasion, after discussion with the desk personnel I asked to book an appointment 2 years from my last appointment. As it turns out, the date of the appointment I attended was earlier than my 2 years and I was required to pay for the whole appointment as my provider would not cover the insurance portion as it was not a full 2 years. I related the story to the clinic for which they would not take responsibility or apologize. This clinic won't see me return.
