Shame on me for not writing a review at that time. Four years later, I want to cover a couple of windows that I was indecisive about four years ago. Of course, I called WCI. I was thrilled to learn she was still available to take a look at the smaller project. Design and selection: Holly has a great eye for light and color and really knows her product line. If you want, she really can do all the deciding too. ;) That is how I operate. Color me lazy. When I call a designer into my house I like to let them do what they think is best. It works for me every time. Installation: Rick is a rockstar. I have purchased a LOT of HD blinds in my life across several residences and I have never ever seen anyone do a flawless install as quickly as Rick does. On top being skilled, he is just a very nice person. Great service with a smile. Who could ask for more. Professional from start to finish. Not all Hunter Douglas providers are equal. I learned this the hard way. They do all sell the same product, but that is where it ends. WCI provides access to a full range of products across all price points to residences and businesses and Holly was super in helping lead us through the options to choose the right shades in color and function for us. There are many options of vendors for window coverings and who the vendor is, for their knowledge and professionalism, is going to be important to how satisfied you are with the investment. You don't pay anymore to work with Holly and her team and you get far more than you pay for excellent customer care. If we were doing this again, WCI is the only company we'd consider. We knew we weren't WCI's only customer or biggest purchase customer, but during the process at each stop we were treated like an important customer. Ahhh...some! EXCELLENCE AT EVERY STEP: Professional in all aspects of the job, on time and prepared for each appointment, in depth expertise in the product line, excellent customer contact and care skills and with a good design eye to make recommendations, we also appreciated that Holly communicated that she wanted our business and then that she appreciated our business when we signed the shade contract with her. Our experience of having this custom home built was to hear repeatedly from subs, who were often late for their work or had to come back to correct errors made the first time, how busy they were and how difficult it was for them to have yet another house to work on. So it was beyond refreshing to have Holly say, when we told her we were also considering another vendor for the shades, that she appreciated the chance to compete and then even better when she followed through so professionally to make every step of working with WCI easy and fun for us. TOP NOTCH INSTALLER: The installation of the shades was excellent as well thanks to the installer, Rick, who does this work for WCI. There was one problem with one of the shades on arrival, the windows are large and this shade was a complicated one, that was manufacturer based. Rick was diligent in working with tech support to define the problem and solution on site and his coordination with Holly to get the problem shade replaced and her follow up to make that happen in short order were also applause worthy. NO STOREFRONT: The only small rub in this is that WCI doesn't have a storefront. No worries in that given that Holly or the other sales / designers who work for WCI will bring the product samples to you. So if having a store front is a key element for you, that is not something provided by WCI. In fact, we were are first nervous about that but we found Holly knew more about and could make better recommendations for the Hunter Douglas products through her on site visits with her extensive product line samples than could in store folks. GREAT POST SALE SERVICE FOR HOMEOWNER CREATED PROBLEM: We also had a chance to experience service excellence after the sale when I messed up one of the motorized shades...something I knew better than do but there you go. An email to Holly resulted in fast follow up and follow through by Rick who was able to repair the problem right on site and he was gracious in not making me feel like an idiot even though I knew the problem was of my creation! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: In fact, all subs and suppliers in the building trades in our area could learn a lot about how to do it right from Holly and the WCI team. THIS N THAT: 1) DRAPERIES: If you're looking for custom draperies, WCI provides those as well and one of the designers on Holly's staff specializes in them. 2) WCI SERVES CUSTOMERS IN: Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Ketchum and Sun Valley.

They came out and measured all of my windows, but when the installer arrived, the shade for my door window was too short. The installer never mentioned the issue--I had to point it out myself. To make matters worse, there were three additional windows that had been measured, and I was under the impression they had been ordered. When the installers didn't install them, I called the office to find out why, only to be told they had never been ordered in the first place. That was a very disappointing surprise after waiting for installation. I also specifically requested that the installers give me about a 20-minute heads-up before arriving so I could be prepared. I never received a call--they simply showed up. Mistakes can happen, but poor communication, ordering errors, and failing to follow simple customer requests made this a very frustrating experience. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Budget blinds of Boise & Nampa

Phil is gone and this new takeover does not honor the book of business they bought. I had Phil do our house in end 2023 & 2024 including a very large picture widow in the guest bathroom and unfortunately It crashed down to the floor recently and a tech came out (after several calls and emails) and said it definitely was not latched in right (which was pretty obvious ) and that it was set to far forward in the frame itself so the weight of it eventually gave and it crashed to the floor tearing the material and breaking the side plastic cap- i never touched it so they could see exactly how it came down. The tech did set the latches back & put the torn broke one back up. I spoke to Eve since then 2x said & she was looking into replacing it and would get right back to me. I never heard back even after several more emails and calls, and the tech Ray I believe was his name said he'd come the following week to at least replace the broken cap-he never came! So incredibly disappointed and sad to see this is what became of a reputable business. They lost a lot of future business not just from me but I will NEVER refer them! We get a lot of friends & neighbors who ask for our referrals on many things and they will not get my referrals to Unique Blinds! Believe me @unique blinds...... people read these reviews and word of mouth is huge here! Shame on you guys for not following through and making me waste my time -you had a chance to make right what could have been simple. I even said to Eve I didn't even have to have that specific blind that I'd get another if they could not get the one I had, now I have a torn & cracked grabber blind I need to replace myself.
