In my experience CostCo prides themselves on researching and vetting their business partners, and their selection of The Shade Company is no exception. In this particular instance, I had a large custom window to dress and a completely blank slate. I wanted to engage with the space's natural light, and have a simple yet modern look that functioned easily and well for privacy. Oren, Iris and the rest of the Shade Company team were extremely helpful, professional, accommodating, responsive, and informative. I received exclusively excellent customer service and results from start to finish: consultation, selection process, change order process, installation, and even thereafter to close out the job. 11/10 look no further for your window treatment needs.

I was unsure of what look to go for but the staff was eager to help. They helped me create a beautiful modern look which changed the apt. completely. The wood blinds were a great choice for the kitchen! Easy to clean and a nice sleek look. I went with Silhouette shades for the living room which provide privacy or sunlight when needed & Roman shades for the bedroom. They offer a free home estimate where someone comes to your house showing you samples, giving you prices..with no commitment. They had a large amount of black-out shades also. Their products are up to date with a lot of styles/colors to choose from. Prices are very competitive and the installment was done quickly. Overall very happy with New Way Home Decor & appreciate all their help in this process. The company is very reliable and precise, I recommend them highly!

Four years after my initial review, Wendy from NY Rainbow finally got around to emailing me,…read moreberating me and asking me to take down my initial two-star review. Her comment posted to my previous Yelp review gives you an idea as to the type of people you can expect to work with over at NY Rainbow. As posted back in 2013 (and as I reminded Wendy) my Yelp review is an accurate recap of my experience wth NY Rainbow. Nowhere in my review did not indicate that I was a customer or that any money exchanged hands. Everything that's there is an accurate summary of my grueling experience with NY Rainbow. Emails and phone calls are the cost of doing business. As I told Kris and Wendy previously, I was on vacation (personal time) during most of my correspondence with them, so my time was as valuable (and arguably more valuable) than theirs. I made the scope of work known and very clear from the get go and I admitted FROM THE START it was a smaller project. If they didn't want to take on my smaller project, they should have said so at the start and saved everyone the time and frustration.

I have been a customer of Laurel Blinds for several years and have given this business my support…read moreand referrals. Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I will not be returning. I needed replacement parts for my vertical blinds due to normal wear and tear. I took the blinds and track into the store and had a couple of components replaced. I was told that if I had any further issues, I could bring the track back. The clips holding the blinds continued to break. When I returned, only eight clips were replaced. When I went back again because the clips continued to fail, I was told it would cost another $100 to replace all of the old clips. This was after I had already paid $160 the first time. I explained that I did not feel this was fair, and I was told to leave the track and that "we would work something out." I subsequently received a call early in the morning telling me that the cost would be $100 for the new clips. When I asked how much it would cost to replace just one clip, I was quoted $25 for a single clip. At that point, I declined. When I went in to pick up my track, I was told, "I'm not trying to rob you." However, given the circumstances and the prices I was being quoted, that is certainly how the situation felt to me. I was also handed a piece and told that I might be able to "jimmy" it in somehow. Whether that was intended sarcastically or not, I found the suggestion inappropriate. I brought the track to the business because I expected the business to properly repair it--not to be told to figure out a makeshift solution myself. What disappointed me most was not simply the cost. It was the lack of communication, the change in expectations after I was told we could "work something out," and the way the situation was handled. I supported Laurel Blinds for years and referred other people to the business. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling that my loyalty as a longtime customer was not valued. After this experience and the customer service I received, I will not be returning or recommending Laurel Blinds.
