I purchased treatments right before COVID for my mothers apartment. One of the curtain rods was put up unevenly and within a couple of weeks had been pulling from the walls, which I assumed meant that the installer did not use anchors. I called the store to ask if they could reinstall under their 90 day guarantee. They couldn't schedule a visit because of COVID and then because their installer was ill but promised me that they would honor the guarantee even after the 90 days. I called at least 3 times to follow up on the appointment and they said they would call back or have the installer call back and no one ever did. The rod's bracket finally fell off this week so I went in to the store to see if they would honor the guarantee. I know it's been 2.5 years since the installation so I was assuming it would be a 50% chance that they would honor it - a place with excellent customer service would - but very quickly I was accused of "misunderstanding" the salesperson, saying that "she would have notes if what I was saying was true" and that "COVID is over and they were open the whole time, so why would I wait 2 years to follow up on this". Without even listening to the whole story, the sales person was aggressive and essentially accused me of telling lies about what she told me 2 years ago - that she would honor the reinstall past the 90 days because of the circumstances. Also, part of the reason it took me this long to follow up is because 75% of the time when you call the store, the call just hangs up of you. When I told this to her, she was completely unconcerned and only said, "well we get other calls." It's not about the money they wanted to charge us today for the reinstall. It's how dismissive and uncooperative she was to my mother and me. I don't know how much effort a customer needs to make to follow up on a guarantee. But this isn't it. UPDATE: I can't figure out how to DM you, Kim so: I appreciate you responding, Kim, but I don't need you to follow up from here. I'll figure out how to fix and reinstall. For your reference my order number is 982640. In addition, I just found that I have several emails back and forth with your store through the end of 2020 about trying to get in contact with someone before the year was up. (I guess I did have the year and not 90 days like your staff told me today in the store.) This afternoon, in your store, your staff insisted since there were no notes in her system that anything we were saying was either false or our "misunderstanding". read more

Worst experience with company. I have been dealing with them for two months and I still do not have one set up because it was measured wrong and needed to be recut. One set installed fell and i had to put it up myself. I should have known when I first walked in and it took forever for someone to help me. The whole blinds process just declined from there and the blinds aren't even really worth the trouble. I wish I could post this review on their website, but they choose what reviews they want to list. I am extremely disappointed with my Blinds To Go experience. This location was recommended by a good friend, but I wish I had gone elsewhere. Let's start from the beginning... I walked into my local showroom in Staten Island and was given a phone number of someone who would come to my home and take measurements and offer suggestions. Made an appointment, no called/ no showed. Ok guess I'm on my own, so I went back to the showroom and they told me to call in my measurements later. 3 days later I pick up my cellular shades and install them. Moments after installing and fully retracting the shades, all 4 shades began falling apart at the seams!!! I took the blinds back and they said they would remake them and it should take no more than 2-3 business days because they are we're going to expedite the order. 7 days later... still no call. They tell me they haven't been made yet and they would call the warehouse to see what happened. They called back saying there's been a mistake and that they have had them all along (even though I never received a call). When I go to pick up they only have 3 out of 4 shades of my order!!! Really??? Then later that day someone called to inform me that the 4th shade had been there the whole time and someone put it in the wrong bin. I made a formal complaint in their company website and was asked to contact the store manager, who never returned my call after leaving the a message with another associate. I guess they got their money and that's all they care about. Too many phone calls back and forth. Unorganized at the showroom. Expensive. Poor communication at the showroom. Poor customer service. I would NOT recommend!!! read more

Blinds were delivered to wrong store even though we made multiple efforts to ensure it would be sent to the one near our home. The installer appointment had to be cancelled because the blinds ended up in another borough. It became problem for our family and for the installer. It takes multiple attempts to get anyone to answer the phone at the location. Very very disappointed in the entire experience. Can not comment on the quality of the blinds or installation because we are still waiting for them to be delivered to the right address. read more

The "positive" reviews for this place are either naive customers or "shills." There is a REASON why this store is EMPTY most of the time; the prices are non-competitively HIGH, and are subject to random increases BEFORE your order is processed. In addition, instead of having their own "measurer" to come out and assess the correct dimensions for your chosen installation, they sub-contract to a third party that gets paid separately from the store, adding additional $$$$ to the overall cost for the purchased item(s). You can do a whole lot better going to one of the big box stores like Home Depot or Lowes and their selection is plentiful, turn-around time is quite acceptable, and there are no "shenanigans" with the prices after the contract is written! Lucky for us there was no wait that morning and Elena the sales associate was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with our decision making. The installer came that very same day did all the window measurements. All of the treatments came in 4 days after we confirmed the purchase. The installer Alan came the day after and put up all the treatments. He was efficient, quick and accurate in his work. When we bought our house 10 years ago we came here and got 1" blinds in different colors for the whole house. They were expensive, but held up good. After some recent remodeling, we went back and ordered a single pair of 2" faux wood blinds for $185.00 for one average sized window. The blinds are nice, BUT CAME DEFECTIVE. They had defects and scratches at the most visible areas of the blinds. The store will take them back and do a repair, but that means taking them down, bringing them in, waiting a few days, picking them up and hanging them again. For $185.00 for a single window, that is completely unacceptable. We have several other windows that will be getting new blinds. They'll probably be coming from a different store after this. read more

Staten Island store is terrible. Wanted a specific type of blind spent 2 hours there picking everything out waited almost a month to get them and they weren't what I asked for. Tried to return for refund and they refused. Customer service at store was horrible absolutely no help, they gave me a number to call which was also no help. Could have gotten what I wanted for the same price in numerous other stores only went there because it was recommended to me and the lifetime guarantee. Now I have to look at blinds everyday and be reminded how Blinds to Go sucks!! Staten island store is the worst I would never go there again!!! read more

DON'T DO IT!!! When I first purchased my home I ordered all of my window treatments from Home Depot. Now I know why Blinds to Go is ALWAYS having sales; THEIR PRODUCTS STINK! They are most definitely made of cheap materials and as a result fall apart rather quickly.
