Yesterday I went to the "Blinds To Go" in Deptford NJ . I bought blinds and shades for my home about 8 years ago and I needed a replacement valance for one of the blind. At the store I was greeted by a cheerful and welcoming staff and I was helped by Design Consultant Diana Chacon. I had no receipts and Diana was able to quickly find my purchase and saw that my blinds were no longer in production. Diana went to the stock room and after searching found what I needed and then instructed me on how to install it. I have made this store my go to place for window treatments and give them my highest recommendation. read more

I was disappointed in the customer service and the lack of empathy, for me receiving damaged goods on 2 separate orders. 1st order included 9 shades and sliding door blinds. Had to send back a set of blinds because the chain was about 24" shorter than the others and the installer installed it anyway. I had to have him remove it and order another one. We made a second order a few days later for a different window. It was delivered and once installed, showed dirt marks. The installer had to take those back as well. Waited 2 more weeks no call about the 2nd order replacement. Called on Monday and was told it should be in on Tuesday or Wednesday, and I would get a call. I explained my son's graduation was on Saturday and really needed the blinds. Called on Saturday to follow up and was told, yes it was in and ready for pickup. I explained I paid for installation and was just waiting for a date. This is definitely not the service or quality I experienced when using this same store 20 years again when I first build my home. The worst retail experience ever. Ordered 17 blinds in Jan 22'. Its now June 22' and still waiting for blinds and installation. No one answers service number, useless people at store don't have answers and they charged my credit card for the full $1700. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Buyer beware! The worst company and products I've literally every been a customer to. It's almost not believable. This is a true, accurate, logical review. I bought roller blinds for my home a few years ago. Since then I have had to physically myself take them in for repairs approximately 10 times. They have broken that many times. This is a real number. Finally after years of this I asked for a new replacement instead of a repair which they did. Literally this very first day I received the new roller blinds, one snapped, rolled up, and feel down to be completely broken! On the first day! FYI - I also used this company for a second home I own about 2 years ago and with a completely different product they have also been to the store twice for repairs. They are cheap yes, but you pay for what you get. The quality is awful, and if you buy from them expect repairs. Read the reviews before you use this company. I had excellent customer service from Blinds to Go in Deptford NJ. I went in no knowing for sure what type of window treatments I was looking for and was help by an associate by the name of Rahael. She showed me everything they have to offer which is quite extensive! I decided on faux wood blinds and the price was great! Afterwards I had the installer measure to make sure everything would fit properly, and decided to have them installed. Price again good! After 3 years of not having "real" window treatments (used blankets, cardboard, etc to block the sun), and being unhappy with the prices/service/selection at several other local and on-line blind stores, we decided to see what our local Blinds-To-Go offered. (summary and rating break-down, below) I wasn't really expecting to find anything there, but we were immediately greeted by the friendly BTG staff, and I began to feel hopeful. We were quickly introduced to Brittany Hall and she asked us questions about our needs and what style we were looking for. I felt very comfortable talking with her and I could tell that she was really listening to the details, without judgement. That might sound funny, but we've been to other stores where the salesperson offers something we specified that we did NOT want, or worse yet, tries to 'negate' our reasoning for certain preferences, with almost a condescending tone. That was not at all the case with Brittany. She patiently listened to my list of "requirements", asked a few questions for clarity, waited while we worked out an answer, and then she took out a book and pointed to two swatches, which were EXACTLY what we had pictured! She even read the fabric content to us, because we were very particular about the materials. After we chose the shade for the living room, we gave her a few details about the dining room; she stepped away for a moment and then returned with a swatch that again, was PERFECT! After years of searching and numerous in-store encounters that left us weary and discouraged, Brittany was able to help us pick out just the right thing in practically no time at all! How'd she do that?? Once we placed the order and paid the deposit, there were a few days of phone calls, measurements, and follow-up questions. Brittany was patient, knowledgeable, and socially appropriate along every step of the way; (socially appropriate: gave us space to verbally work things out between the two of us, while being immediately available for more info, or politely interjecting with helpful information). So, "what about the blinds?", you say... They were ready, as promised, 2 days after ordering. Thomas Dent helped us with pickup and he, too, was VERY patient and helpful as we checked everything out to make sure the order was correct. We got them home and the first one took about an hour to install (start-to-finish). We are perfectionists and it had to be exactly right. The second window took about 20 minutes, as we had the 'experience' of doing the first one, and could check the first one for certain 'clearances', etc, to get it perfect, as well. The store service: 5/5 (awesome job, Brittany and Thomas!!) The materials: 4/5 (quality fabrics, meets our requirements; brackets disappear, but could be a little easier to work with; stainless chain is nice, but would have liked more color options for the chain; install instructions were mostly helpful) The color: 4/5 (good selection; our roller shades ended up being slightly lighter in color than the sample swatches, but negligibly so) The manufacturing: 3.5/5 (the "chain-link" on each chain was in the wrong place and it took a while to figure out how to fix the first one - tip: removal not necessary, see below; and, due to the way the bottom weight bar on one shade was installed in the factory, there are slight 'waves' that can be seen more with certain uplighting, but most people may not notice it. The other one is perfect.) Suggestions to BTG: - offer a display in the store that allows customers to view the sample swatches under different lights. Our choice looked pale grey in the store, but is dark grey-brown-purple at home. Fortunately, we had paint swatches from our house, so we used that to compare. Without it, well, I shudder to think... - give Brittany a raise - seriously, she's fantastic! TIPS to BUYERS: - Bring a paint swatch from home (we just painted a little 2" square of drywall with our colors & put it in a sandwich bag - you can keep it for other decorating decisions, too!) - Think about how you will use the window treatment day, afternoon, night, alone, with company, how the sun moves, room lighting, etc. - ask for Brittany Hall when you go to BTG in Deptford (she's like our Roller Shade Angel!) - Steel Sidewinder: remove the factory-installed plastic stopper discs, and if the chain-link is in the wrong spot, have two people hold the shade ends (or lay on a clean, flat surface) and keep pulling the chain-link until it is in a non-obstructive spot (the shade will probably flip around itself a few times). Then, install and roll the shade to the top and bottom of where you want it to stop and reinsert the plastic stopper discs on the chain (all unclear in their directions). We put two at each "stop spot", one's a back-up in case the other one breaks. SUMMARY: We're finally happy with our window coverings and, thanks to Brittany and BTG, it was actually a pleasant experience! We think the shades look great!! read more

I was taking pictures on my phone and sending them to the Chief (wife) at home.... lol. Said blinds would take 3 days to come in took 3 weeks i had to call on the 4th day to see whats going on with my order(only 2 of my blinds came in ordered 3) told me my blinds were on back order the store told me to call customer service i did they were going to call the store and call me back never got a call back from customer service. We have been very pleased with the room darkening powered blinds that we purchased over a year ago. Recently one of the blinds stopped working. The company's installer answered my call, guided me through some simple troubleshooting to conclude that the blind motor had failed. I returned it to the store, and it was quickly repaired and returned to me in one day. I reattached the blind to its hangers and it worked perfectly, with no need to call the installer (which would have been done free). We are very pleased with Blinds to Go and would recommend them for your projects. read more

Good prices, nice selection. I bought black-out blinds for the nursery 10 yrs ago, and they still fix the mechanism for free when it breaks. They never give me trouble w/ repair -- costs me nothing. However, they have broken 2 times in 10 yrs, but I think that is pretty good. The help there varies -- some staff know their stuff and others are not so great. Recently bought stainless steel large slot blinds for my modern kitchen and new black wood blinds for the bathroom. Try to catch the Buy one Get one half Off sale. read more

Purchased Vertical Blinds several years ago and love them. I went to purchase vinyl mini blinds (very easy to get, right?)....no!! Don't like the cords hanging on my window sill (there are three of them.) The wand is very very hard to turn to open these blinds. Cordless blinds ...don't like there's. Go to Home Depot, better quality and better prices. Sorry guys, not a fan of my purchase! read more
