I am really disappointed with my experience with Binds Plus and don't recommend them. I ordered shades 6 months ago and am still waiting on them because not once but twice the installer showed up with the wrong size shades even though measurements had been made by a Blinds Plus professional. Neither time did the company call me to discuss or own their mistake or offer any compensation for my troubles. The installers just came and said the shades were the wrong size and left. I have called so many times to inquire about when the next set of shades will be ready and I get no clear answer. I'm really frustrated at their total lack of customer service and ability to get the job done well and right on their end. read more

I'm not sure how they stay in business. I recently spent tens of thousands remodeling my kitchen and walked into their Showroom on Tylersville Road. Where are the two women up front just looked at me. I told them who I was and what I was looking for and windows and they told me I may want to go look at Lowe's if I'm looking for something in stock. I was interested in very expensive shutters for a couple large windows and had to ask one of them to show me if they had a display in their showroom. Then I had to ask who I would talk to I might talk to you and sales to which they gave me the first name only. I then had to ask if they had a card for this person and they went and gave me one. I felt as though they thought I couldn't afford them, and they acted as if they could not be bothered this morning. I'm sure they must treat others this way and I have no idea how they're staying in business. read more

I have custom cellular shades all over my house. A few years ago the string broke on one of them and I took it to Blinds Plus where it was replaced. No problem. That's where the story begins. A few weeks ago the string broke on another shade. My wife took it to Blinds Plus where we were told it would be about three weeks before we got it back. That was on June 8th. On July 24th, after nearly six weeks, we called to see where the blind was. We were told it would be there the next day. When my wife went to pick it up, she was given a cream or ivory color shade. Our is a rose pink. She brought it home and we opened it up. It was clearly not our shade. We called and the person the phone insisted this was our shade and that we had signed a waiver saying we understood that they were not responsible for any damage including fading. The reality is that my wife would never have had the shade cleaned, but they suggested it. The woman working there said that sometimes shades fade. Never-the-less, this was not our shade. The header, everything was ivory/cream colored. It was even a different material and different size than the one we had dropped off. We took down the matching shade and took both to Blinds Plus to prove they had delivered the wrong shade. At this point, they finally acknowledged this was not our shade and promised to make good on replacing it if they could not find it. The next day they called. Good news. They had found our shade. They were even going to deliver it to the house. They did mention it had faded some. We were out when the shade was delivered. So, it was left on the porch. We now know why the woman said that shades sometimes fade and why they thought we simply didn't recognize our own shade when they delivered the wrong one. This shade looks like it was cleaned with BLEACH. It's almost pure white now. There are traces of the original color, but it's completely ruined. I don't know why they even bothered to deliver it to us. read more

we have been using Blinds Plus for 18+ years. Every blind in our house was purchased through them! And their service was good - up until this recent transaction! This transaction has been excruciating! Over eight weeks ago, their serviceman took a garden bath window blind to their shop to see if they could fix it. At the time, I asked for a price to fix it OR replace it. They said it would take 4-5 weeks to repair it. 6 1/2 weeks later, I was advised that they could fix it and that the cost to repair it would be about what I bought it new for six years ago! I told them to go ahead with the repair. A week and a half later, ( 8 weeks) I called to find out when we might expect the old blind back and re- installed. All they can do is confirm that a motor has been ordered! We have no idea when it'll come in or be ready to re-install! And I never did get a price to actually replace it! So here I am anticipating a repaired blind at the cost of the original at some indefinite date in the future! No discounts. No acknowledgments of their poor service. Nothing but a bare window heading into our 9th week! I can't recommend this business. read more

We used Blinds Plus services for installing curtains on a large window at our home. The guy showed up at our house and left a half hour later without installing our curtains. He charged us anyhow, and said to complete the job he would need to come back with 2 more people and charge an additional $200. My wife complained at the store and was told that the service fee starts when they enter your home, not actually completing the job. If you are using them for regular sized windows, I'm sure they do an OK job, but wanted to share our story. We will not ever use their business again. read more
