I contacted the 2 bigger companies who install Hunter Douglas in Victoria and Victoria Blinds and Closets. The other guys said it would take at least 8 - 10 weeks for the product to arrive. Victoria Blinds said 3-4 weeks and the quoted price was more than $200 less. I was delighted when my new Hunter Douglas blind was installed just under 4 weeks later. Excellent workmanship and great communication throughout. I am so impressed that have ordered another new blind from Victoria Blinds.

Terrible product, no quality control, poor customer service. Disappointed all around…read more Process took 5 months in total. Blinds arrived in the wrong size for one window & damaged for the other. Valences were the wrong colour for one of the blinds. First installer had dirty hands - fingerprints on the blinds and the walls. Cords cut improperly. Second attempt, blinds were the right size but the visible mechanisms were the wrong colour. Third installation attempt had to be made to fix everything. 2nd installer was friendly and did his best. Not a surprise, the salesperson passed us off to someone else. While it appeared to be that person's job to deal with issues she didn't seem to care much, glossed over the problems and blamed it on the manufacturer. Zero follow up from anyone once the job was complete and they took the full remaining balance off my credit card. 10% off for the 3 times I had to be at home for the installs would have gone a long way. Would not recommend this business.
