I did have a cup of coffee and they had decaf (YAY!) but it wasn't very hot (BOO!) We were here for a wedding at the Stables at Arrowhead Lake. This was the suggested hotel - so my hubby booked a room. I think the group pricing was OK - especially with some of the sticker shock we've encountered travelling with our softball team. Check is was quick and easy and we appreciated being able to get our room a little before 3 PM. We wanted to watch the beginning of the OSU football game before we had to head over to the ceremony. The hotel was very clean and looked new. I saw from prior reviews it wasn't a new building so they do a great job keeping it fresh and clean. Our room was nice but freezing cold - which is how hubby likes it. Good to have A/C in the summer time - although the temps were mild during our stay. The room had a fridge that worked, TV with the stations we needed and the outlets were plenty. Great lighting in the bathroom and very nice linens. Beds were fine and I really appreciated the generous amount of K cups they left with the Keurig. Not much else to write about - absolutely no complaints. Check out was easy and we were on our way north - next to the Guardians game. Would gladly stay here again.

She told me about the area of the Honey Comb Rooms, the restaurant etc. We were out at Mt. Hope and coming back from the ride we saw the sign and had to go see the place. It was snowing so we felt we were in a picturesque snow globe. We drove to the area of the Honey Comb rooms and it look so cool. We stopped by the Inn and spoke to this gracious young lady at the restaurant. She said it was open to the public as well. We also spoke to the person at the front desk and picked up pamphlets on what you can do in the area. The rooms looked pricey on the website, I'm not sure if it's a place I would stay. Maybe for a celebration of some sort. It's close to many different Amish Places.

Wow! What a wonderful surprise in a gorgeous forested area on a private understated property…read more Birds, trees, and accommodations built into their natural surroundings and under beautiful full grown trees. So much has already been said, but this is a natural respite from the world with all of the creature comforts. To anyone saying the property is somewhat outdated, I disagree and fully appreciated features like carpet in the honeycomb suites and in the dining areas. It keeps noise down from fellow diners and guests staying in rooms nearby. When can you ever say this in modern stark industrial hotels? This made the experience so cozy. And the place is clean!! It looks and smells fresh. The honeycomb suites are constructed from stone and wood, and it's so refreshing. The food is delicious and well-appointed on the restaurant menus - both brunch and apps and dinners. They change the menus frequently based on what's in season, as a natural property like this should be. Service! Also "outdated" in that it was actually great! Where can you receive personable service anymore? The front desk, hostesses, serving attendants, communication prior to check in, you name it. We were first timers but met many guests who have been returning for decades. We would count ourselves lucky to be able to do the same. Great experience. My only gripe, and it's a legit one, and it can be avoided: room service. It should not be served in plastic in a bag like carry out, at a romantic resort and at this price point. We opted for brunch in our room one morning, and were disappointed to find a bag of food on plastic. No. Beware of this and go the fine dining room to avoid this. I have never ordered room service anywhere in the world and had it delivered in this manner to a $500 per night room. This did not take away from the rest of our experience though, but diners should be warned.

As we walked by one of them asked, "Hey ladies, are you going swimming tonight?" I don't consider myself uptight but I was put off by it. Inside, the check in was polite and quick. Our room was clean and the view from our balcony was incredible. Very picturesque and serene. After having some cocktails in our room, we decided to explore the grounds. The trail behind the building lead us first to the koi pond. It was stocked with beautiful fish and food for them was available to purchase. There was a little waterfall and then we came upon a childrens village that was absolutely adorable. Having just rained, there were no children playing in the village so being two adults with questionable maturity, we had the most fun exploring the miniature buildings. After exploring the outside, we did indeed go swimming. The pool area was saturated with the smell of chlorine and the jacuzzi was extra hot and crowded but we had a nice time relaxing and making new friends. It was a good one night experience.

The room was clean and a great size which included a patio! The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet. The next morning the breakfast that was provided was delicious with options like cinnamon rolls, fruit, waffles and biscuits and gravy. We then walked around the grounds and found lovely trails, a fun children's village and ponds where you can feed fish. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing stay.
