Went to an event where the party was catered. Appetizer's aside from the fruit and vegetables were ok. grapes weren't washed I could visually see dirty on them. The meat they had for appetizer was cold was supposed to be hot. Main dinner was cold not even warm and vegetables were cold and soggy. The catering staff was taking away people plates before they were even done eating. Plus staff the served food was not friendly or greeted guests as they received food. Thankfully no one wanted second plate. They also misrepresented a food item on their menu under their Mexican menu. That's not a Mexican dish. Monique was a joy to work with. She is highly responsive and listens to your needs. I hired her to provide a light lunch for my son's celebration of life. It was difficult to as to the amount of people that were to attend. Monique was always patient and ready for any changes. Specifically, we did make your own slider sandwiches with cold cuts and a nice array of cheeses, fruit platters, pasta salads, and roasted vegetables. We ended up with so much leftover food but it was a delight to be able to send food home with those who helped me out with the event. We hired blessings Caterings to cater two days worth of meals (six meals total) for us for a weekend trip in Sacramento. Let me say first that I thought the food was fantastic! Perfect balance of flavors, very well put together, balanced and presented/plated very well. She was on time, professional, friendly, accommodating, and just really a joy to be around. It was very apparent that she genuinely enjoyed her job and the quality of the food really mattered to her. I first enjoyed the services of Blessings catering at a church dinner for Easter. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was 2nd to none. When I hosted our family reunion, I hired Blessings Catering for our picnic. This menu was totally different from the church dinner (baked chicken, dirty rice, green beans, rolls, beverages vs. BBQ ribs, hot dogs, hamburgers & chicken; baked beans, potato salad, green beans). Everything was wonderful! My family is full of great cooks, and we had no complaints. I received a lot of compliments, though, for finding her. Tashika's service and availability prove a great asset to any function. She delivered the food in a timely manner, set it up, and waited to make sure all was well before she left. High Praise for Blessings Catering and Tashika "Monique" Floyd (for comforting our extended family in our absence) With the passing of my dearest Sister-friend's father, my husband and I planned to send flowers. My husband a former caterer - made the excellent suggestion to send to the family home a repast meal as loving nourishment for the large family who would be travelling home from around the country to attend the funeral. We searched (via YELP) and found "Blessings Catering". We called Tashika, and then a real blessing began. Tashika, with impressive warmth suggested a beautiful menu of brisket of beef, fried chicken, green beans, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, tossed green salad, yeast rolls and Peach Cobbler - which she cooked the old-fashioned way -- with lots of love and care. Everyone in the large extended family very much enjoyed and deeply appreciated the wonderful food that Monique prepared. This was affirmed in a thank you note from the family that "you knew exactly what we needed". My Sister-friend called to rave about the lovely presentation that Monique and her staff delivered and set-up the food. They were dressed in white uniforms as "angels" bringing a "blessing" of Love. The Family deeply appreciated the gesture, and of course the delicious food. I received a call from one of the sons later, indicating "How Wonderful the Food was" and asking me "How did we find this company from such a long distance!!!!" He expressed that he wished he had known about "Blessing" when making plans for the the Repast that the Church would provide after the Funeral. My God-mother called after everyone had left to thank us for the gift of having all of that delicious food in the house as the family returned home after the funeral service and remained guests for several more days. I am sorry to say that this was perhaps the worst meal I have ever been served by a caterer. The best thing on the plate were the canned green beans, very sad. I was served a very dry and tasteless piece of beef, which I ate, as the dinner was late. They also served a drumstick, how many people in a formal dinner setting want to eat with their fingers. ALL OF THE FOOD WAS COLD. Well the beans were a tad warm. The plastic silverware was next to worthless. I know that the bride paid a good amount of money for the dinner and deserved a much much better dinner. Finally their service was pitiful, they were very pleasant ladies, but you don't serve one or two people at a table and a couple more people at another table. Blessings Catering and Tashika are amazing! We used them for my husband birthday party and I will never ever use another catering service again! We had 40 or more people that showed up and they ate and ate and we sent our guest home with food that they loved! The brisket Tashika cooked melted in our mouths and was seasoned so well. The barq oysters disappeared within a couple of minutes lol thank goodness I was able to get a taste lol! I could go on forever about this wonderful catering service and Tashika but I won't but if you are looking for reasonable prices for excellent food and service this is the catering service you will want to use! I'm a straight carnivore. I frkn love my meats and seafood. Especially BBQ. So when I was shopping around for a caterer, I was referred to Blessings Catering from my foodie friend. Let me start off by saying OMG!!!!! Talk about flavor orgasms in my mouth! Everything from the ribs to the shrimp was very well seasoned. I made sure we had ziplock bags and foil for anyone that wanted to take food home, but there was no food to take home! My fat ass guests all left in a food coma!!! They kept asking me if I cooked lol and the kids favorite was their wings selection! The lil rug rats made a mess but they sure did tear it up. Clean chicken bones everywhere! And the way they make their corn.... OMG the way they make their corn!!! So buttery!!! I seriously can just eat that with rice all day. I'm not sure what all the seasonings are in it, but I do know when I book them again that's an automatic add on for me. Anyways, thanks for the great service and being on time too seriously!!!
