Tracey…read moreseemed nice enough when I was booking my first appointment with NLZ but I was seriously mistaken about her and this business. First of all I was given a price quote after I filled out a questionnaire about my cleaning needs and texted photos of my house to Tracey. I was required to prepay the quoted price before the cleaners arrived which seemed a bit odd but whatever. It was all downhill from there. Sorry in advance for the long review but please learn from my mistake. Here's some details of my terrible experience with NLZ: * My 2 cleaning people arrived 40 minutes late for the 3 hours of cleaning I prepaid for. They were rude and acted like they didn't understand a word I was saying and just kept talking to each other in Spanish ( unfortunately I don't speak Spanish at all). They blew off my requests and were very obviously rushing and doing an awful job. * I callec Tracey at NLZ within 30 minutes of their arrival to say that I wasn't happy with the cleaning people at all. I texted her a picture of my "mopped" floor which was just wet and dirty and asked to have the job rescheduled. * Tracey suddenly become nasty and refused to cancel and reschedule the job I had already paid approximately $300.00. She claimed that she sent me excellent cleaning people and then we got "cut off". I tried calling back several times but got voice-mail. * The cleaning people were paid for 3 hours but after 2 hours of poor work one of the cleaning people was able to tell me in English that she's allergic to cats and had to leave early because of her allergies. I was completely upfront with Tracey about having a cat before the service was booked and even wrote it on the form I filled out before my appointment. * I took pictures of the poor cleaning job ( floors were soaking wet and not clean, crumbs under the microwave, bathroom mirror not wiped down and more) and emailed NLZ about my bad experience. * My complaint was never acknowledged and the next time I heard from NLZ was the following week when they charged a follow up cleaning service to my credit card without my authorization. Tracey answered my call to explain that when I filled out the online form I stated that I was interested in weekly cleaning and was booked for the following week because I stated in "the contract" that I wanted weekly help. It was an outright rip off and I had to get my bank involved because NLZ wouldn't refund me for the cleaning job I didn't want or receive.Their claim was that I ignored the email about my follow up visit and didn't cancel in advance so they weren't obligated to refund me. * Luckily my bank reversed the charges but I had to get a new debit card because of the unauthorized use and would never recommend NLZ to anyone.

I have never been more impressed or seen such attention to detail from any other service I used in the past. I look forward to coming home after she has cleaned. She has even assisted with weekly projects to reorganize parts of my home, such as closets and the kitchen. I truly don't know what I would do without her. They had a three-hour, two-person thing and said to pick five rooms. I picked the kitchen, living room, two bathrooms, and if there was time, bedroom. Five. They spent 2.5 hours in the relatively clean kitchen and managed to do the bathrooms. I was going to give 3-4 stars because of D's efforts to make the booking trouble right. But when I got into bed last night- the cleaners left when they "blew a fuse" and prevented me from working- there was GARBAGE piled up ON MY BED. WHERE MY PILLOW IS. There was also garbage on the night stand and boxes randomly piled everywhere. They did not do the living room but J called and told me I could pay more for them to do the mopping they were supposed to do. It sucks because I need a regular cleaner and I have this important event and now a wake today and I am scrambling to do this work that wasn't done. But the garbage in my bed was just ... so awful. I've never experienced anything like it. I loved that D. tried hard to get someone here but one of the cleaners just did not want to clean. The other was nice but she can't do it all herself. So now I have to take off work and clean for a job I spent hours arranging. I do get my house cleaned about once a month. The toilets and baths needed scrubbing (stuff cleaners do) and floors needed mopping (again, stuff cleaners do) but the house was not in condition that more than three hours is needed. Cleaners are usually in and out in 90 minutes and make my bed look nice, not like a landfill.

Kevin, the owner, ignored it the very first time he personally cleaned my apartment. My speaker was even left aimed completely differently from how I had positioned it. He admitted he disregarded my instructions and apologized, but that doesn't undo the complete lack of respect for my belongings and explicit instructions.
