Carmel latte!

I am at Blend at least twice a week! I love the atmosphere and friendly service. Their cakes and tray bakes are good too! Love their Jaffa Mocha! Delicious! Great coffee and a wonderful place to hangout with friends! Cute and funky decor with awesome couches to chat on! Love this place

We'd arrived in Perth and were in need of a pick-me-up (well, I was - I'm pretty sure I sunburnt my eyes on the drive up). I quickly checked Yelp and realised this coffee shop was pretty much over the road from where we'd parked the car, and John & Alisa R's rave reviews meant I knew it would be perfect. It's a cosy yet spacious coffee shop with big couches and lots of tables and chairs. It was pretty busy when we arrived but we managed to grab a spot on the couch which was perfect. I ordered us two cakes (chocolate brownie & Vic sponge) as well as a tea and a coke, and it came to something like £7. Super cheap! I would say the Victoria Sponge wasn't quite right for me - it wasn't really a sponge, more just like cake. I can't really describe it but it wasn't what I expected anyway. We stayed for about half an hour and it was a perfectly pleasant place to chill out while we waited to meet Graeme's folks & brother. I'd definitely head back here again.

Because of my job, I am in Blend multiple times during the week, if not numerous times even in one day. The staff are very friendly, and there is a relational aspect to the coffee shop that I don't often see outside of Glasgow. Blend are intentional about being a coffee lounge not simply a coffee shop. This is evident when you first walk in and see the open layout of the place. There are sofas and multiple comfy chairs that remind me of when I used to frequent Bean Scene in St Andrews or Stirling. Ironically, considering the amount of time I spend in coffee shops, I'm not a coffee person. However, Blend stocks a good selection of specialty loose teas, and you won't end up with a tea bag in your pot like most places in Perth. If you prefer your tea a bit stronger, then I would recommend requesting extra tea in your pot as it can sometimes be a bit of a weaker strength for some. I'll also often get a chai latte (when I'm not worrying about calories), and it's worth even ordering it with sweetened soya as it brings out some extra flavour in their chai. Blend is easily accessible by foot from the centre of town and there is also a paid car park across the street. It is probably the only coffee shop in town where you can quickly park your car, run in and get a drink, and then be on your way.

Jaffa Mocha. Very delicious!

This is a very warm, cozy, comfortable, and welcoming place. The baristas here were very friendly and courteous. I ordered the first thing on the menu - Toffee Nut Latte - Delicious and balanced flavour. The tomato/basil/mozzarella panini was the perfect snack for my visit. After ordering, I had to wait on a very soft bench for a minute or two for a seat. I am okay waiting a few minutes for a seat when a place is obviously filled with happy people. There were at least 5 generations of people enjoying coffee at the same time. I would love to be a consistent part of this community. I will be back. Free wifi is also a bonus when you are not talking with a new or old friend over a delicious cup of coffee.

We were at the other end of the High Street but wandered down past the chain coffee options to the warm, friendly Blend. Well worth the walk, I'm glad Yelp helps wee places like this float to the top of the list. Great coffee, good scone and far better than settling for one of the multitude of chains on the High Street.

Toffee nut macchiato and a panini. Yum

Definitely an asset to Perth. The coffee is perfect, service is always with a smile and there is a really good atmosphere here. There's a real buzz of happiness here which keeps bringing me back. I have spent many an hour here studying for exams, reading or meeting up with friends and family. The music today is great too, I love some jazz with my latte.

We sat outside & it was a nice day.

This doesn't necessarily work in it's favour…read more While it can't be beat in town for outdoor seating, with it's next door view of the historic St John's Kirk and the cobble stone streets surrounding the controversially derelict city hall, Willows is nowhere near my top places to visit in Perth for anything other than enjoying Suki Tea on a sunny day. And while the outdoor seating is lovely it is overshadowed by the unambitious decor inside. The lunch sandwiches are so-so. My high expectations were let down quite quickly once seeing their slightly more visually appealing than average coronation chicken sandwich. It tastes as good as it looks... just ok. The only redeeming factor for me is that they serve Suki Tea, which I love. But while they serve it in Suki Tea pots, the cups are something out of your gran's favourite cafe... you know the one, it usually serves generic tea bags in a small metal pot with a flat lid that doesn't pour properly. I'll continue to visit here on dry summer days for the outdoor seating, but I have no need to try the food again. Perth is a place of average expectations and Willows meets these.

Most people would already know what to expect as far as the products from Starbucks, and the only ones who would be disappointed here would be those who are already anti-Starbucks. I have been going here since it opened in April 2014, and my drink has been great most times. The building has a great layout. It's much bigger on the inside that it seems when just walking past... pretty much it's a coffee TARDIS. The seating is more spaced out than any other coffee shop in town. So if I'm wanting to have a more private conversation, I'll come here rather than say Costa, where people are almost sitting on top of each other. Also, it's the only coffee shop in Perth with outdoor seating that faces the sun... When it's shining of course. The staff are very friendly. The only issue I've had here was one time when ordering a soy latte for my wife. She can't take milk and ended up with a regular latte, which she didn't realise until after she had finished the whole drink. I spoke with the manager who was very apologetic and said she would address the issue with the relevant staff. At any rate, if you have dietary issues it would be worth double checking that they got it right.

*This is actually a review for the Perth store*…read more So we decided to have one last meal before the weekend ends so we decide to drive through Callendar and head to Perth's Frankie & Benny's. We get seated almost straight away by the assertive hostess next to the kitchen (my favourite spot) We decide to have the usual - burgers. I chose the bacon cheeseburger and my partner chose the construct my own cheeseburger (sometimes it's like dining with a 5 year old). It took all of five minutes for it to come out and be served to us and it was delicious! I even enjoyed the relish which was mixed with a sweet BBQ sauce and the fries were cooked perfectly. My partner ordered the cheeseburger with the salad on the side, along with chips and relish. The chips were piping-hot - an apparent rarity in most restaurants nowadays (why is it so difficult to ensure food reaches the table at a satisfactory temperature??) where the standard offering is lukewarm coffee served with a portion of yesterday's nachos. These chips had a slight crunch then a perfectly fluffy filling - excellent! The salad was fresh and tasted fantastic with the relish - I'm not even sure what was in the relish but I wanted more. Lastly the burger; something I've failed to be impressed with at F&B's previously! The burger was cooked to perfection, the cheese melted into the meat - the flavour of which seemed to be intensified by the relish. Almost cleared my plate if it wasn't for that pesky bun! We then decided to have a sweet and deliberated over the four different types of waffles: chocolate and honeycomb, mint, banoffee or cinnamon... but then we were faced with another impossible choice... what about the cheesecakes??! My kryptonite! There was: vanilla, salt and caramel or peanut butter cheesecake. So we decided that one of us would choose a waffle and the other a cheesecake and we'd share (I'm nice like that). Now for the hilarious part. I asked the hostess if I could charge my iPhone somewhere as I had a hundred mile journey and was at 16% left! She agreed to charge it at a counter for me. Just before we ordered our dessert I went to "check on my phone", but really I was making our amazing waiter Jordan (shoutout!) aware that it was my boyfriend's birthday and he said "say no more". Suddenly the lights went out for a third time to celebrate someone's birthday and my partner says "oh who's next? That's the third time!" Unbeknownst to him it was for him! His face was 'not-amused face emoji'! But I was 'crying with laughter-faced emoji! We chose the mint waffles which comprised of a cinnamon waffle with two scoops of mint ice cream and the peanut butter cheesecake with peanut butter ice cream - amazing! Lastly, I ordered a coffee and being the coffee fiend that I am, really enjoyed it, I've no idea what blend it was but it tasted different to anything I've had in any local Frankie & Benny's. Jordan was so nice when getting our bill that he took my partner's meal off of the bill as a birthday treat! Fantastic service and well-worth a visit the next time you're passing! A really good end to a perfect week.

The waitress was friendly and very understanding. She also brought us a large pitcher of water without even asking us if we wanted it - awesome! I ordered a Club Triple Decker and my wife ordered a Chicken Pitta with Louisiana Hot sauce. Good arrived promptly, hot, and platted well on white plates. Pricing felt a little steep, but the amount of food that came out put my mind at ease. We both enjoyed our food immensely, including the fries. My club had a chicken breast which was a nice surprise. My only complaint was that the bread was slightly dry - so my mouth feels scratches at the moment, but it was still a good sandwich.
