TLDR: Biggest regret of my life. I came in at 12pm and didn't leave until 6am. I came in with healthy, thick, and long hair, and left with less than half of it. Stylist put my level 9-10 ends in BLEACH BATH, completely ruined my hair. THEY DIDN'T TAKE ANY ACCOUNTABILITY! Expected me to pay $500! The salon owner, Heather, is also a POS. I'm sure these stylists do a good job on other clients, but the way they handled my situation was god awful. For the record: I have only used heat on my hair maybe 10 times within the last 3 years. It had been a year since I last bleached my hair. I had INCREDIBLY healthy hair. No keratin treatments, no nothing. My hair was in perfect condition to be bleached. So 2 months ago, I came here after seeing all the positive reviews about the place. I am extremely picky about who I let bleach my hair as I have a unique hair type and try my best to keep it as healthy as possible. But after a year of letting it grow out, I decided to come to Bleach Please salon. Consultation went great and my stylist was Delianne. I told her I wanted to go as blonde as possible and she told me she could do it. I attached screenshots of the rest of my review as it's too long. Oh and btw, if the salon responds to this saying my review is different than my experience, that's a load of BS. I was balling my eyes out and the only thing I said I was happy with was the color. 'stylist' Shawna. The length of my hair when I walked in was down to the middle of my back. I asked for shorter hair with SHORT layers, so I could style it cuz there isn't much style you can do with long hair. I mentioned that I'd like it to flip/stick out...ordinarily flip/stick references upward and out. At least I thought the verbiage was clear and precise. HOWEVER, it did not translate to her the same definition. Once the curls fell out... I realized I had the SAME EXACT style I walked in with, only shorter. They sent a text asking how everything went. I responded that I wasn't happy with what was done. Someone called and wanted further details. I explained what I went in asking for and what I walked out with. They offered to make amends, so another appointment was made for the following week. This time I brought photos of the look I wanted. I asked specifically if the look I wanted could be done? The response I got was, oh yes I can do that. What did I walk out with this time?? YET, AGAIN THE SAME EXACT HAIR STYLE A LITTLE SHORTER THAN THE FIRST TIME SHE CUT MY HAIR. My sister found a half off coupon for Bleach Please last year and as I was needing to get my hair cut before a trip I decided to give it a try. Since it was my first visit I really didn't have any clue who to ask for so I was matched up with Chad. When I got there and met him I was very happy to see that he had a great attitude and was very friendly. He was very gentle and knew what he was doing, that's for sure. The cut was perfect (because he is a perfectionist) and was so sleek and soft. I am going to have to ask what he used on my hair and buy some of it. I went back to visit Chad a couple of months ago before my latest trip. He had just gotten a new tattoo and it was infected. It was very red and I could tell that he was in pain. I told him that he needed to leave and go to the doctor but he refused until he was done with my cut and style. Now that's dedication. Once again, I was very happy with my hair and more happy with how Chad handled himself in that situation. I hope that he is okay and will be there when I go back. I'm making my review a little over a month later since I didn't know they had a Yelp page! I had been wanting to get my hair professionally done after my friend gave me an at-home split dye (The photo posted is what it looked like a little over a month later and as you can see I was in dire need of a fix, one I really wasn't sure I would get since I found out that those particular home dyes had a bad habit of ruining hair permanently). My fiancee did lots of research and heard a lot about Bleach Please and how they did wonderful when it came to vibrant dye jobs. My stylist was Chad and I have nothing but kind words about the patience and hard work put into fixing my hair. Chad put in about five hours of work to cut, bleach, and color correct the mess I was living with, and give me the galaxy hair I wanted. I'm normally really shy when it comes to getting my hair cut but Chad and the other staff were really kind and we chatted about my hair, the cosplay I was getting my hair done for, and all kinds of stuff and so the hours went by quickly. The shampoo and conditioner that they recommended have been working much better for me than the shampoo I got at Sally's. I'm honestly surprised at how vibrant my hair is still. I get so many compliments on my hair and every time someone asks where I go tit done I tell them Chad from Bleach Please. I'm excited to go back and get it touched up. read more

All I can say is for $292 saying we are completely upset is an understatement. This was a Christmas present for our 13-year-old. We picked this salon because they claim to be blonde specialist, but even using a level four stylist, Heather, as you can see in the photos there is no change in my daughters hair. We went in for a root touchup and I did see where they stayed in a bunch of other responses too bad reviews that due to previously treated hair, they were unable to Fix roots appropriately but I know this is not true because I have seen it done. My daughter and I were both fighting back tears as we left, and we were even quoted $140 for the high-end price of this service so you can imagine the shock, when they slammed a nearly $300 price at us. I am just so disappointed and I highly do not recommend this salon for any kind of route treatment or blinding process.... i'm guessing that the positive reviews are just needles in the haystack and most people are so devastated they don't even leave a review. I did find many negative reviews after I did a more extensive search on this salon. I posted before and after pictures, and as you can see, there is really no difference. I don't even feel I should be charged for this, even with her taking the time she did, since there is absolutely no difference, and we are so dissatisfied. Think a true salon that cares about their customers would not see fit to charge for a very unhappy and just plain service that is supposedly promised. I just sincerely feel like they are out to make a big buck as they are very very pricey. I did not want to post this but I really feel like there might be some other young girl who does not have the extra finances to be able to forward something like this and yet she might want to go to the salon thinking she is going to get great treatment and complete satisfaction. Please save yourself the heartbreak and really try to find another salon. I know that the salon may put a response to this, but the fact is we did not receive the service that we came in for and we're basically charged for an absolutely zero outcome. I went to Bleach Please when I wanted to go from a faded auburn color to blonde. My stylist for two of my visits was Caitlin. First Visit : I honestly cant believe she was able to turn me from a faded auburn to a platinum blonde in one sitting in a matter of a few hours! Lots of Olaplex and a deep conditioning treatment and I had my platinum blonde hair! satisfied with the color but was disappointed with the cut. Second Visit : Just a root touch up from the platinum blonde, satisfied with the color but was disappointed with the cut. Overall atmosphere of this salon is personally just not for me, I felt self conscious in my chair to no fault of my stylist. The atmosphere is luxurious but again made me feel inferior in the time I was there. They are on the pricier side but do really nice color. I've been coming to this place for three years and have really enjoyed Jared's style. HOWEVER, I went to Mara this time and was deeply dissatisfied. I asked for a balayage In chocolate brown and now my hair is a very deep red. Also her first comment was that she disliked doing this style and had to ask another stylist to demonstrate how it's done. When she was washing out the color she said it was a beautiful red, and then changed her wording whenever I questioned the fact that she said it was red. All in all it was a terrible experience for the amount that I paid (almost 400 dollars). There are other options out there, please consider going somewhere else. read more

I have thick hair and wanted to cut my hair above the shoulders. She didn't tell me "no don't cut it like that l, it'll look strange or ugly" like other salons have told me before. She agreed and even gave me ideas on how she can perfect the style even more. Once she finished, Boy oh boy did I love it! Well to be frank im glad we got moved to Virginia as this was and I mean WAS the best place to get my wife's hair as well as getting my hair cut. My stylist was amazing and both of my wife's were top-tier but towards the end of us going to them the prices started to rise and they stopped us from bringing our daughter to sit with us (Covid) while we got our hair done making us have appointments on different days. They were extremely clean however would rarely give my stylist enough time to be able to cut my hair before her next appointment or they would squeeze me in between two appointments and she was rushing to try to get my hair done. I was glad my wife found this place when we did because they have gone down hill so much since then and thankfully we left before the let go their seasoned stylists to hire new untrained stylist that don't know what they're doing. My highlighted strands were all melted and stuck together looking as if I had been standing too close to a forest fire. As I drove home, out of the corner of my eye, I could see my hair falling and breaking at an alarmingly fast rate with my husband staring in shock. It was coming apart like overcooked pasta. Crying and struggling to imagine what I would look like as the bald-headed girl I was inevitably soon to become, I had no clue where to start. Ultimately, I made an appointment at another nearby salon. The comforting angel of a receptionist was extremely reassuring, telling me there were a number of things the staff could do to try to salvage my hair. So ever-so-carefully pulling my tangled hair into a scrunchie, I was hoping for a miracle. When I arrived at the salon, the owner and about 10 other stylists (no exaggeration--I'm now a legend and learning reference for new employees) surrounded me and my matted, bleached hair. The owner's concerned and frustrated expression didn't do much to soothe my once-again rising panic, and after studying my hair for awhile, he told me my hair would take a long, long time to recover. It would need the right balance of protein and moisture, along with frequent trims and cuts to try to balance the breakage (which would create all sorts of funky layers on its own). Take a tip, if a stylist says she has appointments available all weekend, there is a reason why. Run. Run fast or you'll be walking bald. read more

Have always and only used bleach please over the years constantly raved about the place bringing my family and friends here UNTIL NOW, worst experience ever, first off I asked for an ombré with dark root and light blonde ends , I am of knowledge my hair is dark and that might not be easy to achieve but it's possible to lift through some box dye and old professionally bleach hair I've had it done at this salon matter of a fact before but by someone who actually knows what they are doing. Any who my INTERN salon stylist marina, who I asked multiple times after showing picture if she thought we could get even close to that color with my dark root and get the ombré if not I wanted to go black and proceed to cutting my hair after , she proceeds to say well I can't guarantee that I can get that color but I can definitely get close to an icy blonde let me run the numbers and ask the other stylus what she thinks, I said it's okay I would rather just not and damage my hair if we can't I'm okay with it black she says well no I can get close just can't guarantee the color in that photo, asks the girl next to me how she would do it, she teases the crap out of my hair shows a example of sectioning on sticky note and leaves for the day I sit here while she proceeds to tease upward multiple pieces adding lighter all the way to my roots and for some reason two pieces in the front of my face , which I'm unsure of why because I asked for ombré not highlights regardless after 3 hours , she pulls foils says that's as good as it gets shows another stylist (CHAD) after saying (the female stylist name she got help from in beginning ) she was helping me and then just left so this is what happened and asks what she can do to tone out the brassy bronze my hair is cause it's still brown and not even close to blonde, so I'm rinsed out and waiting for her to come back with advised toner she tells me they didn't have it so she had to make it , now my hair after first wash out is red, and she's trying something else now (JARED) recommended and I have ashy brown hair and a bunch of red she says I know it's not why you wanted but we definitely got it lighter than what we started with, while drying my hair and being there for 5 hours , also while toner is processing I hear (CHAD) ask my she did that while trying to create the toner he recommended, and she shouldn't have mixed this number etc. but then she cuts my hair very jagged, tells me it's going to cost 195 for something and where near what I asked for and a horrible hair cut including me telling her multiple times this isn't what I wanted or asked for and I didn't like it and wasn't satisfied told me I would have to wait and pay same and come back in 6-8 weeks for her to fixThen while paying has nerve to ask for a tip. I call the following day they say it's my hair and that she said she couldn't guarantee what color they could have gotten when dealing with someone who has had box dye on previously ( like they have never done a hair correction) and that she should have done a test strip and she would have me back in with the same stylist ??? And I obviously refuse because I don't want her to mess my hair up anymore, she tells me another stylist can do it she doesn't want to do it next week so I had to come in around 1 so they have time to and I proceed to say I took the whole day off to get my hair done the day before and don't have a babysitter so that doesn't work for me so have no resolution and have been screwed out of appt and left with this embarrassing mess on my head and will have to pay even more to go somewhere else to get fixed , seems like they don't care of their mistake or customer service I am so disappointed with my hair especially with how much time I wasted there and money spent. This is not something I would expect from this salon and am utterly disappointed and upset , also while there was tons of cussing and inappropriate conversations and music with racial slurs. read more

I had a nice experience. I was very satisfied with the haircut and the color. I've been used to long black hair for almost two years. I was very bored of it and it needs a lot of time and work, so having a short ashy dark blonde for a change is really nice. Cassidy is a really nice lady who knows exactly what's good for your hair. I went there hoping for a very light almost silver blonde hair, but she explained to me how there's no way of doing that without almost damaging the hair and how it would be a hassle to fix the color and the roots every few weeks. And she was right, im glad I took her advice. Even though I didn't get exactly what i had in mind, the results were really amazing and satisfying to me. I love it and I feel like a new person. The only thing that I wasn't very happy about is that the price was a little too high for my budget. I wish it was a little less so i can afford going there more often. read more
