I arrived at the drive-through window at 1550 (that's 10 minutes until four for those readers who might not be familiar with military time). I was greeted by a lovely young lady by the name of Sidney. I proceeded to order our favorite culinary specialty, which is known as a "Bean Bowl." A bean bowl is a more-than-adequate container that holds a mixture of sliced sausage, chopped brisket, and pinto beans. I like to think of it as an MMM (that stands for "macho Manly meal." Then again, I might want to rethink that, because a lot of women love them too. Let's talk about the food; the brisket was smoky and tender as Texas brisket should be. The sausage was extremely flavorful and chopped just right, meaning that one slice is less than a mouthful, at least for me. And speaking of my mouth, mine has never wrapped its gums around more tasty pinto beans! They were tender, seasoned perfectly, and not overwhelmed by an army of jalapeños, like some barbecue places make them.
