I used to work here, to clear some things up; no, we were not paid over minimum wage. Training? Please, you're thrown to the wolves as soon as you start and if you don't know what to do? You best be ready to take the blame.
Also the Health Code Inspector needs to do a surprise review of this place at some point, because I guarantee you they will not pass if they don't have warning to clean up beforehand. And they always have warning beforehand. Vividly remembering spending two weeks scouring the floor with a toothbrush and doing basic maintenance that should have been done the entire time.
One time I found mold coating the entire surface of the chocolate for the chocolate topping for ice cream. Another time I found out that the coffee machines hadn't been cleaned in two months. One time I heard my coworker at the time mention that they had accidentally dropped a plastic bag into the fryer and it had dissolved, but they didn't tell anyone and kept serving fries. I had strep and was forced to come into work anyways, and there were three birthday parties that day. Another time a coworker of mine literally burned her thumbprint off to the point where the scanner wouldn't clock her out because, ya know. No thumbprint. Her manager had to sneak her out because the GM at the time refused to let her leave even though her shift had ended like a half hour earlier. One time the stoves weren't put on right and we all nearly died from the resulting gas leak and were not allowed to shut down for the night to fix the issue.
Randomly the smell of raw sewage will pervade the air near the cash registers, but no one knows where it's coming from. So there's probably a sewer line leaking somewhere under the store. It's just minimum wage McDonald's workers though, so until a sinkhole forms and devours the poor kids trapped in this job because of lack of choice in the surrounding area no one is gonna care.
Basically this store is one huge resounding no.
Also why do y'all keep saying "they've lost my business" like anyone cares? It's a corporation, they don't even know you exist. Literally when someone was gonna complain to corporate we'd just close the window and laugh until we were blue in the face, corporate won't do anything anyways. They never care.
Let this place either die out or get bought out. read more
