Five stars for Megan. I was visiting the Midwest from the West Coast and I found out that I had an impromptu meeting at the end of the week. She moved her schedule around to accommodate for me and did an excellent job dealing with my 2B-2C curls . Fun personality, the the key thing is she did a hella good just removing the triangle shape out of my hair. She connected the layers too as you can see in the pictures. Thank you Megan :) read more

Samantha was amazing! It was her first time doing my hair and I wanted a big change, I am so impressed with the result!! The environment is clean, they have great products for your hair and all the girls are really friendly. Samantha made me look so beautiful and I definitely will be back again. Also free eyebrow wax with my dye was a great bonus! read more

Megan has always taken great care of me and had never made me feel ashamed of what condition my hair was in. I decided to shave off all my hair because i have like 4c and she was so supportive and i'm so happy she helped me. I would recommend anyone to her no matter your hair type. read more

My girl went here and they took 4 hours for a 20 minute fix that they messed up on the previous day. The lady booked my girlfriend then booked another girl after her, then prioritized the other girl that she booked last minute and had my girl sit and wait. Mind you there were a number of other stylists walking around not doing anything, but wouldn't take care of my girlfriend because what she was having done was free. Very unprofessional and rude people working here. read more

haircuts and colors can be okay, but anytime i've tired to call to make an appointment it gets send to voicemail and i leave my information and never get called back. i've called multiple days in a row before and never got an answer. anytime i'm there, there are multiple stylists not busy. i called ulta beauty and the phone barely rang and i got an appointment for an hour later while i had been trying to get an appointment at blaze for days. i was on a time crunch for an event so it was very frustrating to be basically ignored for the services i was requesting. read more

I got my hair cut today by Savanah, and she did an amazing job! She made me feel so comfortable, and made the whole experience super fun. We were joking around and laughing the whole time. She did a shoulder length diagonal forward bob and it looks amazing and feels so light and wonderful! I'll definitely be going back to her! read more

I went to Blaze Salon for the first time last night, and I'm going to start by saying that I am very impressed with how my hair turned out. I didn't provide any pictures for my stylist to reference--I just gave her some verbal descriptions of what I was looking for--and she knocked it out of the park. Before she started mixing up colors for me, the stylist called her manager over to get a second opinion. I really appreciated her diligence and it definitely paid off. My hair color looks natural and absolutely lovely. I also got a deep conditioning treatment, which completely revived my long, dry hair. I can't stop running my fingers through it today :) because of the final product (my fabulous hair), I will likely return to this salon. But I will have some reservations (read on)... With that being said, I simply cannot give this place high marks because of the atmosphere. When I arrived, the salon was messy, there was no one at the front desk, and there were some random people just hanging out throughout the salon. Some of them appeared to be stylists' friends or boyfriends who came by to chat with the salon's staff; it also looked like one of the employees' children was hanging out in an empty salon chair playing on her phone. At first, the non-customer/non-staff guests didn't bother me too much, but it got to a point that these "visitors" were becoming so disruptive that it detracted from my experience at the salon. It got really rowdy and none of the staff members asked their "visitors" to quiet down or take their shenanigans elsewhere. Also, the decor... Maybe this is a matter of personal preference, but hey: if I'm paying three figures to get my hair done, I want to have a relaxing experience. The decor of this salon certainly didn't help me relax. It looks like Blaze Salon is trying to create an urban aesthetic: complete with minimalist chair stations, a modern-looking waiting area in the middle of the salon, and some abstract wall art as you walk in. These are all good features, but because they are paired with awkward full-size mirrors, shiny sheets of metal as wall panels, small swinging doors which hardly obstruct the view of clutter in the back area, and, worst of all, cramped rinse stations positioned out in the open, the overall vibe in the salon just doesn't work for me. If you just want your hair to look great and you don't really care about your overall experience during a salon visit, Blaze Salon is an excellent choice. If you don't mind a little clutter and chaos while getting your hair done, give this salon a call. It's just that, personally, I like to have a spa-like environment if I'm going to drop bank getting my hair done, and for that reason, I was disappointed with Blaze. read more

I couldn't say enough positive things about blaze salon and their staff. Kindsay is who I go to and she is amazing, I always feel beautiful leaving the salon. Everyone is so friendly, it's such a positive atmosphere. I'm so glad I found blaze and Kindsay. read more

A slight upgrade to fantastic Sam's or supercuts. Not impressed, did not layer my hair properly and everything was a la carte, which means everything that would be part of a normal haircut like blow dry and shampoo, would add up to more than you would pay at other places like mod salon where everything is included. They are not very skilled here and push for their home made products that are way too pricey for the little that they do for your hair. The staff was not particularly friendly and didn't take the time to figure out my hair or what I wanted. My boyfriend came here a different time and he was getting ready for a show bc he was djing, but the girl who did his hair did a choppy job and was rude to him by telling him he looked like a magician. Have some manners and respect for your customer, social skills are a big part of hairdressing! My Co worker also came here several times for a men's hair cut to do a faux hawk and they kept angling it to one side. Not worth the money. Just go to great clips for men or supercuts, bc they are at that level but charging you double. read more

Previously I was one of those people that wondered why friends would travel hours for an appointment with "their stylist" to get their hair done. I didn't understand what was so great about one person and why just anyone wouldn't do for a cut and/or color. That was until my first appointment with Bobby at Blaze. Now I get it. At my first appointment Bobby talked to me about my likes and dislikes regarding my hair. He asked me about what I wanted and then he proceeded to explain each step he was taking and why. This level of service and attention has not changed to this day. Just this last weekend I had what I would call a hair emergency when I got caught in the rain shortly before heading to a wedding. Without a 2nd thought I stopped by Blaze and explained that I got caught in a downpour and the style I'd worked on before leaving home was now a mess. Bobby immediately whisked me into a chair and my hair emergency was a thing of the past. Frankly it was better than before the rain but I'm not really surprised. Bobby is truly gifted and his passion to serve his customers is 2nd to none. I could comment on a previous reviewer's opinion regarding the condition of the salon or the supposedly poor service they received but instead I encourage you to check out Blaze for yourself. You will not be disappointed. Quite the opposite in fact as you might just find "your stylist" that you would travel to the moon for an appointment with. read more

Worst hair cut ever, by a guy with an ego the size of Texas. I asked him not to take of any length, because my hair is short (just to my shoulders,BEFORE), he took off at least 3 inches. Everyone also noticed one side was longer than the other. The color literally had a tint of green in it. I just wanted my color freshened up. Blondes need this done often. Literally had to go the next day somewhere else to have it fixed. My friends were having much too fun with it. They fixed the color and the cut. Stylist got a chuckle out of it also. Please save your money, and hair, go somewhere else. One star was the staff was polite, but that's it!!!! I read more

I wanted to go blonde and knew going in it would be a process (medium brown to start). Starting with any new stylist I have found you have to give it a few times. I have been 5 times now. I was VERY happy with the progress on color the 4th time I went, but this last time I feel like I just threw away $200. I left with hair that was a darker tone than when I walked in. I called the next morning and spoke with manager who was very nice and had me come right back and did what she could to improve it - put in some foils to improve the dark roots and underneath I still had and did a clarifying shampoo to try to wash out the dark tone. She agreed that either a darker tone was used or it was left on too long. I showed her before and after pictures. I had purchased a clarifying shampoo from there and have washed it 5x now, getting a little better, but still a waste of money and time. Also, I have not had a good cut from there. When I went back to have the color fixed, the manager said "is this supposed to have a slight diagonal?" I said yes and she asked if I minded if she touched it up. I said please! I hadn't wanted to complain about everything when I went in but I had long pieces sticking out and my layers, it's hard to explain but last inch of hair is layered on outside like an undercut but on outside, I feel like it looks like a shag. I don't feel comfortable wearing my hair straight with how it is cut. So disappointed especially when I had been very happy the last time. Unfortunately I would have to say this place is hit or miss. read more

Just had the worst customer service ever. Paid $105 for a haircut and color. Color is not fine, still have root growth showing albeit a lighter color. Also, after several requests to have my hair cut differently and being ignored by the stylist, I finally left. I repeatedly asked for layers to be shortened and more hair off and she would just snip a few places. My haircut is lopsided. Could have done a better job myself. Extremely disappointed, especially for the price. Would give 0 stars if I could. When stylist offered a discount I said I am not looking for the discount I'm looking for my hair to be done properly my stylist said, "that's fine it will be $105". I paid it. Seriously....wow! In all fairness the other stylist in the Salon did offer it offer to fix my hair Monday... too busy to do twice. I chalk the entire experience to a novice stylist not being properly supervised. Great location, was really hoping this would be a place I could go long term...not gonna happen. read more

I received a call from the Salon Manager a couple of days after my appointment following up on my experience, since I had been new customer. I expressed my concerns and was asked to come back to see if the problems could be rectified. I was given an appointment the very next day. I must say that when I went back, the staff was still just as nice as before. All of my concerns were addressed and corrected to my satisfaction!! l was also given great advice on how to care for my now GREAT LOOKING Color -Treated hair! I am so thankful that there are people who care about their customers and want them to be happy with their results. That's what I call professionalism and showing pride and passion in your career ! I will be going back again, and I will recommend it to others. I can honestly say that the staff went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure that my needs were met and that I left feeling my Amazingly FLYY self again! # I'mBlaZing :-)!!! read more

I had an appointment with Bobby just a few weeks ago. When I walked in, there was no one to greet me and everything was a mess. I was surprised because this salon has only been open for 2 years and the furniture looked like it had been abused for 10, the floors were full of hair, dirty cups everywhere, pillows all over the floor, the music was very, very loud and to top it off I was offered yucky tap water in a cup that smelled. Why not a bottle? I liked Bobby at first, but as time went on, he kept telling me how great he was and that he was the best. We agreed on a game plan for my hair, but as hours went by, he changed what he initially consulted with me. After a few very uneven cuts of my hair and a color that he screwed up, he never did finish my hair. He had someone wash, put toner on my hair, wash again, another person to dry. He had specific instructions for the person who dried my my hair, she didn't follow, she was too busy talking with a coworker about the salons music. For the entire 3 hours that I was there, with the 3 different people pulling on and abusing my hair, I got the full court press of using their products, for at least an hour and a half besides the time spent with Bobby. Wore me out. Once I said that I would not purchase products that is when Bobby neglected me, he continued with another haircut at the same time that i was scheduled for, he did not finish my haircut as promised, said he changed his mind regarding his cutting technique and I went home with the left side of my hair much longer, not just a few wispy hairs here and there. Before I left I expressed that I was unhappy with my color and the response I got from Bobby was..."you wanted a change". read more
