From the very first phone call, their customer service was amazing friendly, helpful, and efficient. When I arrived for my appointment, everything continued to go smoothly. The dentist took the time to go over everything with me and worked together with me to come up with a plan that made sense. The whole process felt easy and stress-free. They promptly returned my call, etc. They were so cheerfully eager to serve me. The evening before my first time appointment, Dr. Kboudi even called me to introduce himself. I missed his call but he left a voicemail. I was shocked. Never has a dentist done that for me. Contrary to a couple of other posts, they were cheaper than my previous dentist (a "green" signed chain around town). I had the very strong feeling they were trying to meet a quota for the year. Each time I went in, it was like going to a car dealership with them trying to get me to get several procedures done. And each time I would express that I need extra numbing agent, I feel that was downplayed or "hard to believe." I asked about "sedation dentistry." That was brushed off too. My last cleaning with them was enough. But enough about them. Back to the FIRST CLASS folks... I truly mean "first class" because I've had extensive dental work done over my life and been to dentists across the country due to being a traveler. Each person here greeted me with a smile and by name. That says ALOT, nowadays. I was treated like a valued customer. And yes, the place does smell like cookies. Heheeee! You leave with gift bag and cookies, if you like. I'm so thankful to have found Advanced Smile Care. I, so willingly, drive all the way across town to this practice any day! Oh, by the way, Dr. Kboudi called to check on me after my procedure. Wow! What a practice! They truly care!

My experience with Elevate Dental has been disappointing and frustrating…read more I experienced repeated delays involving referral coordination and was ultimately informed shortly before a scheduled appointment that the referral necessary for treatment was no longer active. This issue was discovered by me rather than proactively identified by the office despite months of waiting for care. I also had concerns regarding the professionalism of front office staff. During a scheduling call, I found the interaction dismissive, condescending, and unhelpful. When I requested management involvement, I was told management would review the matter, but I never received the callback I requested. Instead of communicating directly with me regarding my concerns, information about the situation was reportedly discussed with my case manager. This has raised serious questions for me about communication practices, patient respect, and whether discussions about my complaint were necessary and appropriate. My concerns include delays in care, poor communication, failure to return management calls, referral coordination issues, and lack of transparency regarding requests for records and information. Patients deserve professionalism, accountability, and direct communication when concerns are raised.

I visited Z Dentist in San Antonio about 3 months ago needing some urgent care on a Saturday and…read morehad an A+ visit so I was I was considering this office for a new dental change. I scheduled myself for a just a cleaning this morning for today Friday Sept 11 but sorry I cannot recommend them in the end. A series of disappointments led me to say not thank you and walk out. I was 20 minutes early for my appointment and they were 10 min late despite the office was closed right up to scheduled 10am appt time. Not sure why but they kept calling me by my middle name, I asked them to stop and call me by my first or last name but they kept doing it anyway. They said I needed to also get new X-Rays and later be seen by the dentist on top of this routine 6 month cleaning. I just had X-Rays and seen the dentist on the prior visit 3 months earlier, I just wanted a routine cleaning. They had a variety of reasons for the extras and kept pointing out its all covered by insurance so no charge to me this morning, but that was not my point I did not want the extras just a cleaning to determine if I really wanted their service in the end. My usual dentist is closed on Fridays so I was shopping a new dentist office. I had all kinds of trouble with a dental implant this year so I've been seen by a dentist at least 6-7 times in recent months so I'm not a big fan of getting services I don't really need or want despite their insistence of it costs me nothing today. I reluctantly agreed so go forward, the hygienist continued to call me by my middle name and failed 3 times to get my blood pressure so that is when I decided I had just about enough and canceled the whole appointment leaving and I WILL NOT BE RETURNING! Today was a far cry from the all star visit I had there 3 months ago so I know they got the potential to provide good service and obviously your results may vary but I will continue to shop for a new dentist elsewhere. Sorry Z Dentist I gave you a chance to be my new Dental Office and by the looks of you guys did not want me.

I'm not very familiar with the San Antonio area just yet (I'm new here) so I came across dr. Alvarado on ZocDoc and he just happened to be the first doctor on the list. The entire week before my appointment, i had anxiety and i was scared of the pain that was yet to come! Literally - every video i watched, made it seem as if it's gonna be one of the worst experiences ever. A huge thank you to Dr. Alvarado & his assistant for taking care of me because they proved me wrong that i shouldn't be scared. He was very cool, went into details about everything I should know or wanted to know. Really understanding as well! Being that I don't live close to the area, he gave me an option about the procedure.. either take the local anesthetic (& be awake the entire time) or make another appointment so that another doctor could come in (& i can sleep through the procedure). Decided to take the local anesthetic instead even though I was scared lol but he made it a reallllyyy smooth procedure and before i know it, it was over in less than 45-50 minutes for all 4! Every staff member was very kind to me and my bf! If you're waiting for someone, they have a tv in the waiting room and they let you choose a movie lol. Also as a patient, you get to choose what you want to watch during the procedure if you're lying down! The TV was facing towards the floor which i thought was cool and different in a dental room for once lol. The interior design is also beautiful! Big windows with views (it's tinted so don't worry about strangers driving by staring at you). Looks exactly what you'd expect UPDATE ON MY GUMS/TEETH: healed nicely and quickly. So thankful i got them out because they were causing so much pain.

I started seeing Dr. Martinez about 18 years ago and always considered him an excellent dentist…read more His original staff was friendly, trustworthy, and professional, and I especially want to mention Graciela. She was a wonderful assistant, a true asset to the office, and a real loss when she left. I always enjoyed my visits, and I appreciated watching how confidently Dr. Martinez worked. Things changed when Mary joined the office. I felt she was not honest with me about scheduling, and I brought my concerns directly to Dr. Martinez, hoping he would address the issue. Nothing changed. Later, when I needed another dentist to review my records, I asked Mary to transfer them. She was impatient, told me she would take care of it, and never did. That incident made my decision clear. I wish Dr. Martinez had taken my concerns seriously when we spoke, but because nothing was done, I will not be returning to his office. I have since found another dentist whose office is just as skilled and far more caring and friendly. In my opinion, Mary hurt his practice, and it is unfortunate that the problems were not addressed when they were brought to his attention.

I am extremely disappointed and honestly hurt by the way this dental office handled my experience…read moreafter I was burned during a routine dental cleaning. During my appointment, I was given water that was extremely hot, which burned my tongue and mouth and caused painful blisters. This was not a minor inconvenience. I was in enough pain that I had to seek treatment at urgent care, where I was diagnosed with a thermal burn and treated for the injury. What has been most upsetting, however, is the way the dental office responded afterward. I expected concern, accountability, and at the very least, acknowledgment that a patient had been injured while in their care. Instead, I felt dismissed and as though what happened to me was being treated like it was nothing. The office provided me with lidocaine mouthwash script that I had to pay for, but when I asked for an incident report/documentation of what happened, my request was not handled in a way that made me feel that the seriousness of my injury was being recognized. I was also told I would receive a copy of the documentation, but I never received it, after the 3rd request I got a generic form with all lies instead of what truly happened to me. I understand that accidents can happen. What matters to me is how a healthcare provider responds when something goes wrong. A patient who is injured during a routine procedure should not have to fight to have their injury acknowledged or feel like they are being treated as an inconvenience for asking questions. I am sharing this review because I believe patients deserve to know not only about the care they receive when everything goes right, but also how an office responds when something goes wrong. I sincerely hope this office takes what happened seriously and makes sure that another patient does not have to experience what I did or feel as dismissed as I felt afterward. My 5 family members will not be returning to this office after what happened to me.
