I'm worried about this company in Blanco that has a large population of elderly people that may not know what is a fair price for various services. They operate on what they call menu prices. I had them quote various things (plumbing and electrical work). The are ridiculously overpriced. For the plumbing, they quoted me 10X of what it cost with another company. For the electrical work, they were 3X the price of the second company I had come out to quote the work. Bottom line avoid this company, or at least, ensure you get a second quote. read more

Shameful. Bid work on service call - $243 to cut 2x3 ft of sheet rock?!?!!! $900+ to replace an in-wall faucet? This job should take 2 hours at best. Total bid $1,319. Outrageous. Then proceeded to tell me our softener is too old and too small for our family - let me bid to test that and replace for you. Shocked. Said faucet below, which my husband already removed the tile. $99 to come out and look. This company is taking advantage of families in this area. Appalling. read more

They came out to our home to give me an estimate for outdoor plumbing work. I was not home when they were there and the understanding was they would call me to let me know what the estimate was and what work would be required. They proceeded to do the work without any authorization from me, the homeowner, and then sent me $1000+ bill for the work complete. I called them and explained that I gave NO authorization to do the work because nobody bothered to tell me what the work was and had I known it was going to be over $1000, I wouldn't have gone through with it. Their resolution was to give me a measly 10% discount on the bill. I paid the bill because I'm not a scam artist but they clearly do not follow protocol and they take advantage of their customers. Okay so - we have a really old house. Its an original 1969 home and came with all the original bells and whistles. Needless to say we have some modernizes to do and we are pretty pick about who does the work. We are all about quality for the money. After comparing all the big and a few small players in Austin we were referred by a friend to Blanco AC -they won the bid. They were the second least expensive but in our estimation of the highest quality. They just finished their install and it was seamless. The crew was super professional and we couldn't be happier. Our heater/AC was not performing well. We called Blanco AC on a Monday morning around 8:30am and they came out to our house around 12:30pm. They were done at 2:30pm and our unit was back to normal and running perfectly. Nice people, quick reply, good service. read more

I feel a little taken advantage of! My husband requested they come out to give us an estimate to get a residential generator, and for that they would require $250(our fault for agreeing). Had never heard of this before, but my husband agreed to it. On the day he came I had a lot of questions, I thought he would at least have the answers and detailed explanations of how it worked. Most of which should have been answered over the phone and would have saved us $250. Also multiple questions I had, he did not seem to have the answers too. Save your $250 and call someone else!! He certainly was not an expert. And also did not even know what the product warranty was. For my $250 literally got a load test and that was about it. They know there is a demand (6 month waiting list) and can make a quick buck, oh yeah and want most of the money up front. Do your due diligence, ask if you will need another propane tank, ask how much that will cost, ask how much it will be to run existing line from a propane tank? My husband I guess read good reviews about other services they perform, but I promise you, save your $250, I agree with a previous post, ridiculous!!! All they do is sell you the generator and hook it up to house, they don't do anything else. Wish I could make that kind of money for doing nothing. Live and learn. Like I said, a few quick questions over the phone would have saved us $250. How would we know we would need a second propane tank( no way HOA would allow it), also a huge added expense on top of $16,000 he wanted. He could have asked this over the phone! Also make sure you have a place to put it and that they can get it there easily. Seems to me just an electric Company jumping on the band wagon of people desperate to get a generator and making a quick buck. Anyone that wants to charge you $250 to sell you something from $15,000-$17,000 should be your first clue. Just trying to save others from our bad decision :-(. read more

We're in the LONG process of getting the proper approvals and permits for a home backup generator. Steve, Terry, Chuck and Michael have done a FANTASTIC job of patiently working through all that was/is necessary to prepare for the generator delivery. That included proper sizing of the generator to be installed. For those planning on getting a generator, determining the proper size generator is critical. Everyone I have worked with at Blanco has been TOP NOTCH. They're exactly the 100% customer oriented group of guys that any customer could hope for. Unfortunately, far too many companies selling generators fall far short of Blanco's standards. And, they will not take the time to select a generator that is adequate for your needs. The right home backup generator will very likely not be cheap. But, wouldn't you want that selection to be the right one for you and your family? Go with Blanco & you will not regret the decision. read more

Called their Emergency 24/7 company today at 6:30 upon seeing our AC had stopped working. Received a confirmation text for our appointment a few min later scheduled today. Called back 2 hours later after not hearing from the tech as they stated we would. The rep assured us a tech would contact us shortly and we were on the schedule. After another hour passed and the temp reached 90 in our home we called back only to be told the call center couldnt get a hold of "Cooper" the technician and that noone was coming after all. At this Point it is 10:15pm. We demanded a manager be contacted and the rep comes back to the phone to tell us "Marcie" said "Unfortunately since its after 10pm no one can come out" despite advertising as a 24/7 AND having called and gotten scheduled HOURS before. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! We could have called a number of other places if they didnt have a tech but they never told us that until we demanded answers! read more

I don't normally write reviews but I have been very impressed with this company. They came out to give me an estimate on replacing an old AC unit and offered several options. Once we selected our unit, the installers were on time, professional, and cleaned up after themselves. They even followed up to make sure we had proper air flow and coolant levels.
