The meat was good, but all the fancy over the top BBQ sauces are really acquired tastes. I am a big food guy and used to unique things but I didn't find one of them that I would really want to eat again. It's crazy to me that they don't have a semi normal traditional BBQ sauce. I imagine some people don't go back just because of that and not because of the quality of the meat or price. read more

Really good brisket....and everything! Great food and atmosphere. Never been disappointed there.

Food is pow pow pow Not only is the meat on point, the sides are all done to perfection. Don't skip out. Right in between meche's & subway in the shopping center near the limo/buses. I missed it for years until I took a walk. Wait staff is very friendly. read more

This place is really good. They have 4 sauces. One is root beer BBQ (a little sweet bold root beer flavor). A creole mustard nice and spicy. Ancho chipotle which was mild and tasty. Finally was a hot sauce. Smoked beans terrific, chipotle slaw was great, and the bark on the brisket had a nice pepper flavor. I was really impressed with the $20 price as the portions were large. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

Blanchard's BBQ - pork, beans, and coleslaw - Food Trucks Near Me - Lafayette, Louisiana

Here to give them another five stars for delicious food and super fast service. I had smoked chicken salad again because I reallyyyy wanted to get better pics. It was as tasty as ever. But I tell you the star of the day was that Poutine Dream. The fries are skinny and crispy which held up so we'll against the barbecue sauce. The green chili corn was yummy too. The Mac and cheese was a slight miss unfortunately as the sauce wasn't that creamy and there were chewy macaroni bits. The flavor was decent however. No one's perfect but Blanchard's is pretty darn close! read more

The best brisket in Lafayette hands down. Quick service and a great locally owned business.

Great bbq, I like the unique sauces and service was great! I recommend the baked beans, super tasty and perfect. Brisket was also great! Will be back! read more

Definitely the best BBQ joint in Lafayette. The brisket is great, the burnt brisket ends are great, the Poutine Dream is exactly that. The Sticky Ribs are to die for. The homemade sausages are always tasty. We really like this place and get their products regularly. read more

By far the best BBQ in town! Prices are good, portions are big but most of all the meats are cooked perfect along with those sides!!! read more

Blanchard's BBQ - Brisket slices, sausage, Mac and cheese and slaw with poutine fries - Food Trucks Near Me - Lafayette, Louisiana

This place was so good. We hadn't eaten barbecue in a while, and it was such a pleasure to sit down for lunch here. We ordered the sausage, pulled pork and ribs. We also ordered the cole slaw, potato salad, mac and cheese, and pork and beans. The meat was juicy and flavorful. I enjoyed the ribs the most. They were well-seasoned and tender. My favorite side was the pork and beans. The beans had a lot of flavor and were mixed with shredded pork. They also provide four sauces at each table. They are the Creole mustard, root beer, espresso and chipotle. I liked the Creole mustard the best, but all the sauces had nice flavors. The dining area was clean and the staff were nice. Hope this place does well in Lafayette. read more

This place is fantastic! Best barbecue I've found in Louisiana that rivals some of the best of the best barbecue places I've sampled from Texas. The brisket was the perfect texture and was moist and delicious. The pulled pork was equally as good. The portions were great and satisfying. They have a plethora of delicious sides to choose from as well. They have several house made sauces to choose from and they were all a joy to sample. The staff was courteous, friendly and certainly made us feel welcomed. We will definitley be coming back! read more

Get here early because by 12:00pm there is a long line. However, the service is fast the people are nice, and atmosphere is relaxed. Best of all, the food is delicious. If you never had Canadian Poutine, this is the place to go for it. Imagine french fries slathered in gravy with beef brisket, that melts in your mouth, laid over the top. Yum! read more

Blanchard's BBQ - The food truck is now a restaurant. Try the poutine, it is fabulous. - Food Trucks Near Me - Lafayette, Louisiana

Could easily make a five star rating by using less pepper in everything. Mostly large ground black pepper and some red, but everything carries the same flavor palate of strong pepper. Otherwise, loved it all. Ribs, brisket, and pork. Owner needs to realize with so much of the same seasoning, nothing has its own identity. Ribs were well smoked, tender and very good. Burnt ends so peppered hard to eat. Pork very good. Little different potato salad but excellent for a bbq shop and a nice touch. read more

Blanchard's is LEGIT. The brisket was on point. We got it chopped and it had little burnt end pieces in it. The ribs, fell off the bone. The Mac N Cheese was creamy and very flavorful. The smoked beans had shredded pork in it! Who does that?? Blanchard's does! You gotta check them out! read more

BBQ brisket sandwich was really good. I am not a big fan of eating my meals on a piece of paper on a metal possibly not clean tray. I would like to see my food on a plate. Restraurant was clean. Service good. Only open for lunch till 2:30. Will go back to try other foods. read more

Amazing Amazing Amazing!! If you've read my BBQ reviews, you know how I feel about brisket. I order thin sliced in the fatty area and good-ness was it good!! I bought lunch for friends working on my car and had to go back twice to get more to bring home!! It's not often that a brisket impresses me this much but this one absolutely did!! Melt-in-your-mouth good!! Great job Blanchard's!! read more

Let me tell you, I've been dying to try Blanchard's because I love delicious bbq in large portions and they did not disappoint! Their service is exceptional. I called our order in early and they set it aside right away so that they wouldn't run out of what we wanted (three meat platter with Mac & cheese, potato salad, and a side of slaw). It was ready for us and still piping hot when we arrived! I also mentioned on the phone that this was a special treat for our wedding anniversary and when we arrived they had put some free beers in a bag with an anniversary message So sweet! I literally was so ready to eat this food when we got home that I didn't even take a photo ‍ Everything was phenomenal and exactly what I had been craving and had been unable to find anywhere else in Lafayette. Plus, me and my husband ate off that one plate until we were stuffed AND had leftovers for lunch the next day. We'll be back read more

Place got it going on and that Bbq is on point. First time I went in there ordered the brisket and I was asked ya want lean or med cut. At that point I knew this place was legit cuz last time I was asked this was years so in west Texas. And the damn fries, they are so damn addicting. The beans with chunks of brisket. The green Chile MAC and cheese. OMG I ate here 3 days in a row. read more

This place was amazing, the amount of food they gave me for the price was incredible. The meats and sides are excellent. Different sauce options as well which was nice since not everyone likes the same thing. I wish they were open for dinner hours. Can't wait to go back read more

Hands down the best BBQ in Lafayette! Great chopped brisket and the sides are fantastic. The smoked potato salad is so good and not like a lot of the mushy and bland potato salads that seem to be popular around here. This potato salad has texture and creaminess and is all around delicious. If you really want to treat yourself, try the poutine dream - homemade french fries covered with brisket, brisket gravy and queso fresco. Soooo good! read more

First time here and wish they were open tomorrow! Best bbq this side of anywhere!! Brisket was sooo tender and full of flavor! Fries are top shelf and Green Chili Corn Casserole- don't miss that!! Perfect BBQ experience and best in SWLA for certain! read more

Blanchard's BBQ - Wish you could have seen it!! - Food Trucks Near Me - Lafayette, Louisiana

I absolutely LOVE this place!!! The atmosphere is so chic and minimalistic. The food is to die for. I come and get their pulled pork nachos, and I'm not talking some cheese in a cup, wet soggy meat on chips you'd find at the baseball fields. NO, they have genuine cheese with in-house barbecued meat and they top it all with sour cream and jalapeños. They have multiple meats to choose from like brisket that melts in your mouth it's so tender, sausages, ribs, and of course pulled pork. They have your basic barbecue sides: potato salad, coleslaw, fries, mac n cheese, baked beans, but man are they good. They are also the only place I've found in Lafayette that has poutine!! (Thick cut steak fries slathered in gravy and topped with cheese curds and mouth watering beef brisket) They also have a unique set of sauces at each table including A&W root beer barbecue sauce and an espresso barbecue sauce that I cannot get enough of. Highly recommend!!! read more

I highly recommend the brisket, which is absolutely AMAZING, along with the smoked potato salad. This is truly some of the best BBQ I've ever had, plus great service (the owners are wonderful!). Stop by for lunch! And get there early!! read more

Stopped in with the wife to try this new place out. We were both very impressed with the service and food. We split a pulled pork and brisket sandwich with a side of their fries and chipotle coleslaw. Possibly the best brisket I ever ate and pulled pork was impressive. Sides were fresh and tasted wonderful. They have an assortment of signature sauce that accompanied the meat very well. Glad to see Lafayette stepping up the food options. I hope they can keep up the freshness and quality in the time to come! read more

Love the food. Dislike the wait time. There were only 2 people in line before me. Took them 10 minutes to take their order. Took another 10 minutes after I order to get my small order of brisket and coleslaw. Service was quicker when they had the food truck. read more

The absolute best BBQ you will find in South Louisiana's Cajun Country. Try all the sauces. Sides are great. Large Portions. Fast & Friendly. Brisket, Pulled Pork w/ bakes beans & Mac is straight Gas! Worth the drive from wherever you are. read more

Blanchard's used to frequent my office. Between my coworkers and myself, we have tried everything on the menu. We enjoyed everything, but the standouts on the menu are as follows: brisket tacos with the grilled peppers and onions, brisket salad with pickled red onions (you can't go with either dressing but the jalapeno ranch is oil based so be mindful of that), and the pimento and bacon jam sandwich. Next on my list is definitely the brisket fries. Our only request is that you bring back the jalapeno poppers! Do yourself a favor and try their homemade BBQ sauces; my personal favorite is the espresso one. read more

Excellent BBQ. Got there for lunch right before a big crowd and my food was waiting at my table after I got my drink.

Coming from Texas, I realize I may have a steep expectation for bbq, but I find myself still in search of a place outside of Texas that comes close to BBQ flavor and texture back home. This place has an eye catching menu, nice facility, but there were still elements missing in flavor. We ordered the brisket plate with green chile mac, smoked potato salad, and poutine fries. Overall the place is decent, the brisket was moist and tender but the flavor was missing the hint of smokiness that ties it all together. The mac and cheese definitely didn't have the hint of green chile as expected and the consistency of the cheese could use some improvement, not something I would order again. The smoked potato salad has potential, but is missing a tang or something to enhance the flavor. The poutine fries were not bad, but the meat was a bit salty, and the brisket gravy was lacking. On the other hand, I did really enjoy their BBQ sauce collection. The ancho espresso and creole mustard BBQ sauces were my faves, and for root beer lovers out there they have a root beer BBQ sauce that is true to taste. read more
