I think this is only the second online review I've ever left but Volt Doctors provided such amazing…read moreservice that I was compelled to write. A tree unexpectedly took down my power line on a Saturday and pulled the entire power meter and pole off my house. Since it was a weekend my usual electrician wasn't available and he recommended Volt Doctors. Their 24 hr dispatcher immediately answered and they had an electrician on site within two hours on a Saturday evening. Erik, helped get my generator running and hooked up, and an hour after that I had an estimate and repair plan in hand. On Sunday and Monday Summer was in frequent contact with updates and by Monday afternoon the repair was complete and good as new! The job came in under the projected time and under budget, so they reduced the cost to the real hours worked. I can't speak highly enough about Volt Doctors, THIS is how you run a business!

My daughter bought a home and it need some electrical work done to fix a few minor things and to hardwire some flood lights, patio lights and other projects. After a first attempt with a company that charged a service fee ($129) and sent 3 men that did absolutely NOTHING that we needed...I had the lucky fortune of finding Volt Doctors. The owner is a very nice and hard-working local man businessman that knows his stuff. They were able to work on many items on my list and I am excited they will be coming back to give the house a complete check for older sockets and some loose plugs. (Clearly I don't know the correct terms) - But I DO know what it feels like to have someone NOT take advantage of me. THANK YOU Volt Doctors for running an honest business with reasonable pricing and good quality work!

I look at like taking my car in for service - if the oil doesn't get changed and the tires rotated then a lot can go wrong quick! I never thought about my HVAC system like that before! That's why Ted's Club makes sense for me and as a Teds Club member they warranty any parts they replace for life!

The scheduler at Ted's was so friendly, and so was the guy who came out. He talked and talked and talked so personably that it took me longer than it should have to realize I was being fleeced. I was given a range of quotes to choose from, starting at $800 just to install the new disposal, WITHOUT putting in an outlet -- which seemed crazy high to me, but wasn't much more than I'd been quoted by another large company, so what did I know. I showed him the (corded) disposal I'd purchased and asked if I needed to return it and purchase a hardwired one. He said he could put it in, no problem, just had to take the plate off the bottom to get to the wiring. So I chose the cheapest option and put down the required $400 deposit. When he came back, surprise! it turned out he couldn't install the disposal, and I'd have to choose the more expensive quote for their electrician to come out and put in an outlet. Fourteen. Hundred. If, like me, you weren't sure how much that should actually cost: I had an (excellent, five star-rated, bonded and insured) handyman out last week, who did the job in an hour flat for $235, hauled off the old unit, and apologized that he had to charge me fifteen bucks for the electrical supplies. After I paid, I told him what Ted's had quoted. He was aghast, and said he doesn't know how some people sleep at night. So, do with that what you will.
