Caring, compassionate people. I would highly recommend them to handle your needs at a very difficult time.

I was so grateful at the wonderful help I received from Evergreen Cemetery when by email I inquired…read moreif someone could tell me the location of my grandmother's burial, and even more if someone could take a photograph of her gravestone, since I was out-of-state and unable to visit. To my amazement, not only did I get a very quick response, from Jennifer Schnura, their General Manager, but she also went above and beyond her duties by going out into the snow and ice on a freezing day to take the picture of my grandma's grave and sent it to me in the email. I cannot say enough Thank Yous to Evergreen Cemetery and especially to Jennifer! First-rate customer service!! Vienna Spencer Los Angeles, CA

I took my 88 yr old Aunt & Uncle (from CA) to Evergreen Cemetery to visit their Mom & Dads grave…read more They hadn't been back there for 26 yrs. The headstone had sunk down & while we were trying to clean the stone we waved down a young gentleman by the name of Steve to ask what we needed to do to get the stone raised. Steve left for a few minutes & came back with the materials he needed & raised & cleaned the headstone right then & there. My Aunt & Uncle may never get back to visit again but they left with peace in their hearts knowing their folks headstone will never sink again (totally reinforced now) and can be found by all the future generations of family. Steve, you went above and beyond and they were so tickled you wished them a happy birthday and departed from them with a warm hug!! Thank you Steve! You're pretty special!!

I only chose this funeral home because of the location, near Evergreen Cemetery and where one of my…read morefather's offices used to be. It doesn't matter whether they are sincerely kind, or just acting kind, because it felt real to me. They were not ethnocentric and completely accepted the Sri Lankan Buddhist traditions, which meant a lot less money for them (simple cremation, simple burial ceremony). There was no pressure to spend more money in great contrast to when I buried my mother. They worked with a frustratingly incompetent and understaffed cemetery, they were immense help when I was just overwhelmed with grief and frustration. They worked with a hospital that just doesn't care about people. They worked with a family that wasn't a lot of help or support for me. At times, I felt like they were the only sympathetic people during the whole nightmare of my father dying. I really liked their online obituary. They didn't make any money off this either: https://www.kaminskifamilyfuneralhomes.com/obituaries/Dr-Parakrama-De-Silva?obId=30722793

Great Funeral Home that I recently visited. Last time I was here it was over 10 years ago. The…read moreservice provided here for a friend of mine that recently passed away was above and beyond. Great levels of hospitality and it is a warm, inviting environment. What I do recommend that I think is the major issue here is that if you know that the person has a large family please carpool over here because parking is limited and I had to see people park half a mile away or across the street to make their way into the funeral home.

I can't say enough good things about Beverly Ridge Funeral Home. My mom passed away in hospice at…read moreher home. Jim, the owner, was there in less that a hour to walk us through our next steps. Jim was a absolute godsend to our family!!! The next day Jim met with our family and gracefully guided us through ALL of the decisions that had to be made. Jim handled EVERYTHING! He called and arranged the services, church, cemetery and all of the extras that we would never had thought about. As I now know, corporate owned funeral homes would never had gone to such great lengths. Unfortunately, all of the ones in our area, except Beverly Ridge , are corporate owned. The service was absolutely beautiful!! My mom looked amazing!!! There was not a detail missed!! The viewing rooms are cozy and charming! Everyone who walked into the wake was impressed with the room and how warm and welcoming it felt. It was warm and welcoming because Jim runs it with his family. Jim's dear friend Kevin was also a blessing to us. Kevin was there at every turn to make sure all of the details was perfectly executed. These two men guided our family through one of the hardest times of our lives and I will be eternally grateful. It is a wonderful family owned neighborhood funeral home that reminded us of days gone bye. Beverly Ridge might just be the NORMAN ROCKWELL of funeral homes. Lol. But seriously, I am so incredibly grateful to Jim for making us feel like family!!!! Thank you Jim, Kevin and Sandy!!!!
