My car app showed that the vehicle remained parked in the same spot for three hours. During that time, no one opened or closed the hood, turned the ignition on or off, or opened and shut the doors. Yet I was called and told that the car was ready for pickup, only to be told afterward that the engine warning light can only be cleared at the dealership. I took my car to another local auto repair shop, got a free scan, and they were able to pinpoint a loose connection and fix the problem. This level of service and disregard for their customers time, energy, and money, is completely unacceptable. Run! (Photos for reference) Background- So I took my car for an oil change (super expensive!) last Friday and immediately, I too, had the engine light come on as I was driving it out the parking lot and didn't think much of it and thought it will reset. The light persisted throughout the weekend and Monday after work, took it back in. I was asked to leave my car there so they can take a look at it. So here I am without my car and need to get to work. I have a bad feeling about this reading some of the other people's negative experiences on here. Scott's (and they also own Carl's) staff is already trying to deny that they did something so I will update this post with the outcome of the situation.

I get my oil changes at the dealership and they did that and after that was completed, the service advisor tells me that my oil pan was leaking and that I needed to replace it. The cost was $530. The advisor continued by telling me that the passenger side front axle had grease all over it and that that repair would cost $2150. I was suspicious and untrusting of Clay Cooley simply because of the entire situation, so I had seen online Dwight's & Don's Auto Care and I decided to give them a try. I met with Justin and explained my situation and he presented himself as a truthful guy and I decided to give them a try. Well, after everything was done, my oil pan didn't need to be replaced. It was the oil filter housing assembly that needed to be replaced because it's plastic and had broken. As for the front axle and the grease, Don told me that they cleaned it up and that the boot wasn't torn and that there was no reason for any further repair. So, after going to see Dwight's and Don's Auto Care, I went from a possible $2100 repair bill to a $400 repair bill. My Palisade SUV is running good and I highly appreciate Justin's and Don's sincere honesty. This was my first time in their shop and they took care of me like I was a regular customer and from now on I probably will be. Thank you so very much, I'll definitely be back when any other work is needed.

I haven't received one phone call and everyday I'm calling them to ask for an update. When I work in the shop, I always see 2-3 mechanics sitting around talking in the front office. I have been in a rental car for almost a week now waiting on my truck to be fixed. They say everyday that the truck is almost done and will be available tomorrow but tomorrow never comes. If you can't fix something don't waste someones time. It's messed up because I try to give small businesses like this one the opportunity they need to compete with larger chain auto shops but after this ridiculous situation, I'm gonna have to pay out another place to get the job done. Mine you I have to still use the rental so I can go to work. People do yourself a favor and drive right past this place. There's no sense of urgency at this shop. I;'n gonna ask for my truck back today and I'm not paying them a dime since my truck is still in the same status it was when I dropped it off: Not working.

Recently I trusted the transmission, differential and axils of my 1967 RS/SS Camaro into Sparkey's care. Together we developed a plan and time frame for the project. Even though several issues came up that would have created lengthy delays in other shops, Sparkey made personal trips, ordered extra parts and keep me in the loop all at his own expense so that we could make the deadline. The work performed was exceptional and without compromise. Today my street/show car is performing at its very best and I owe Sparkey and his team a debt of gratitude.
