I hired Brian to remodel my bathroom and laundry room. His quote came in slightly lower than the…read moreother two I received, and he initially seemed trustworthy, which made me feel comfortable moving forward. Throughout the project, I asked multiple times if we were on schedule, and he always assured me that we were. Because of that, I didn't press too hard about the short workdays, lack of additional help he had quoted, or the extra side projects he added. Unfortunately, during the final week it became clear that we were not on schedule. The project was barely half complete, already over budget, and I was left without some of the most important work finished. I had emphasized repeatedly that the water heater needed to be installed, since that was the one thing I couldn't handle myself. Instead, he spent time installing the vanity, which ultimately had to be removed so the walls and floors could be finished properly. He then promised he'd come back the following week to take care of the water heater. When I followed up that Monday, he said he'd be there that afternoon--but never showed. A week later, he finally returned, not to finish the job, but to collect more money and pick up the work lights he had left behind. By then, I had no choice but to install the water heater myself. The work that was completed in those three weeks has several issues. The drywall has large blisters, the shower makes loud creaking noises whenever you step or move in it (which makes me worry it could fail or crack), the bathroom floor sits a full inch lower than the laundry room floor, and the recessed dryer vent he installed somehow makes the dryer stick out even further than before. If you do choose to work with this company, I strongly recommend getting every promise in writing and requesting itemized material costs upfront. I was told I'd receive an itemized invoice at the end, but that never happened. Whether intentional or not, I walked away from this project feeling misled and taken advantage of.
