Too funny that Maureen W. mentions their great rose :) I don't think I had read this before we stopped in and our taste aren't always too similar but this is the bottle I left with. I don't care much for white wine or rose wine and their rose really stood out to me. It's not on their tasting menu but was one, of two add ons. I quickly described it as a nice "breakfast" wine :) I don't typically drink wine with breakfast, of course not but something about Blair Fox's Rose really seems to be a great addition to a brunch. I automatically thought scones, omelets, frittatas, stuff like that. Their Viognier was really nice and I think I liked their 2011 Fox Family Vineyard Syrah the most. Really, everything was pretty good and The Ambush, our last little add on was also really nice! The price point on the bottles are a little higher than I like but I'd definitely stop in here again, and recommend this tasting room. There aren't many rooms in this area of Los Olivos that I love so I consider the 4 stars here a pretty high rating :) Service was good, we sat inside at the bar but there did appear to be limited outdoor seating as well. Our $12 tasting (we shared this one since it was near the end of the day, and that's the responsible thing to do ;) was waived with my purchase of breakfast wine.

Marc was absolutely incredible, so hospitable and warming. The place is beautiful and a must go to!!!!! One of my favorite experiences.

I was first introduced to Blair Fox wines when I sampled some 2007 Tierra Alta Syrah at Christmas dinner. I was so impressed that I planned a wine tasting trip with the specific intent of visiting the Blair Fox tasting room in Los Olivos. We drove up from LA and arrived about 1:30 or so on a Friday. Sarah, the winemakers wife was our host. My wife and I tasted 5 of their wines. I was again impressed with the 2008 Tierra Alta Syrah, and the 2008 Purisima Mountain Syrah; enough that I bought 6 bottles of the two Syrahs and joined their wine club. The tasting room is small and nicely decorated. I liked that the ower was there to pour the wines. You could tell that they genuinely liked what they were doing and were proud of their product. I believe it was $10 for 5 pours, and if you join the club, I think the tastings are complimentary. I can't wait to sample what I bought or to see what's included in my first club shipment. I am also looking forward to visiting again and taste more of their excellent wines.

Delicious!

Wow- Love the wines! Each and every one of them! This is a place where you can come and enjoy every wine on the tasting menu! Jani- was attentive, informative and a breath of fresh air. Not only was she knowledgeable but funny and treated is very well. We will be back and hope that she is pouring! Thanks Blair, Fox Family and Jani!

Zin grabbed us. The Grenache teased the palate immensely! And I'm a spirit drinker.

Planned stop and well worth the stop! Make it a point to stop in. The tasting menu is a MUST! #expandingtastes #MeanderingCouple #WanderingEye #MyFavoriteGuide

With a son named Fox, Foxy bubbles was a must. So was the black hat saying FOX winery. I'd say the trip was worth it!

Offers a chill and cozy atmosphere with tasty wine. We enjoyed our wine flights outside in the sunshine and particularly favored their Zin.

Wow! The wines are one thing, but Mary is on a completely different level…read more Mr. Stolpman clearly knows how to hire incredible, knowledgeable staff. Mary didn't just know the wines--she knew which restaurants back home in Texas carry Stolpman wines, the stories behind different bottles, and even why certain wines were created, including the ones named after his wife and children. I tried August's wine and immediately thought, "This has to be a strong-willed kid." It reminded me of the kind of wine I would name after my own son--strong-willed, full of character, and beautiful. At the end of our tasting, Mary even waived our tasting fee. We enjoyed the experience so much that we've decided to become members. And if this somehow makes its way to Mr. Stolpman: please do something special for Mary at the Los Olivos tasting room. She is an exceptional representation of your wines, your story, and your brand.

The place is casual and not tiny, but it definitely fills up. I don't think they were taking walk-ins while we were there. The tasting room--or tasting patio, I suppose--was really pleasant, a breezy outdoor space in front of a charming brick-red house with a strong Los Olivos aesthetic. My only complaint is that the bathroom was a porta-potty, though it was the nice kind, with running water. We got our own table and a friendly, knowledgeable young server brought us our wines and explained what we were drinking. He was busy, so this was one of the less in-depth tastings we did on this trip, but the experience was easy and enjoyable. There were two tastings on offer, the classic estate flight and the "fresh and esoteric." Since this was our first visit, we both went with the estate, and it was a great introduction to Stolpman's wines. We tried the 2025 Sauvignon Blanc, the 2024 Chenin Blanc, the 2024 La Cuadrilla, the 2023 Sangiovese, and the 2024 Angeli, the label's flagship Syrah. They were all excellent and very well priced--the Cuadrilla goes for $26. It's also a delicious wine with a cool provenance, a red blend made by Stolpman's vineyard workers on a designated block, in what looks to be a successful profit sharing project. The tasting fee was $25, waived with a three-bottle purchase. We snapped up three each of the Sauvignon Blanc and the Sangiovese, which cost $24 and $36 a bottle. Tremendous value for such outstanding wines. I have a feeling we'll go through these quickly, and may be tempted to join the wine club if we do. Either way, though, I hope to go back to Stolpman. I'm definitely curious about that second tasting.

I feel that high production companies are more about quantity and less about quality. That is not the case here! The wines are fantastic! Super complex, yet very approachable at the same time. So, every level of soil gives the grapes a unique flavor profile! There has even been fossils of whales found on their property! They are located just a few miles outside of Orcutt, Ca and it's so worth the drive. Yes, you can find their wines all over the world, but the tasting room offers a reserve flight that can only be sampled on premises. If you are a local or a veteran, they offer a special deal on sundays! How cool is that?? The grounds are also so beautiful! Becca is awesome by the way! We came with our pup, and Google Maps took us up Tepusquet from the 166. Don't do it. Just don't. I love a good adventure, but this didn't make any sense for being any faster or more efficient. It's windy, narrow, and steep. Poor June was car sick from the drive. While the drive had some great views, we were anxious to get to Cambria. Upon arrival we noticed that the tasting room was uphill from the vineyards, providing a great view. I will say that the tasting room was cut into a little crevice so the views from the deck are limited. However, there is a beautiful private tasting area on a hill (when you turn into the winery parking lot) that would be a fantastic spot for good views. The wine was nice, plenty of variety. And I appreciated the unique guidance of wines from the staff. By providing your preferred wines and notes they will create a personal tasting menu. We also opted for the charcuterie for 2 which was perfect. Plenty of bites to accompany our tasting. Because wine is so unique it's always difficult to review, so I prefer to focus on the experience as a whole, and Cambria nailed it. We would definitely return and hang out by their fireplace. Until next time!

We'd had one of the pinots at a fancy restaurant a few years back and knew the place had a good reputation. We also appreciated the easy walk-in situation on a Saturday afternoon. The tasting room was casual and charming, part "mercantile," selling wine, of course, and sundry gift items and home goods. There was plentiful seating, some of it at the bar and some of it in what felt like a large living room, homily decorated with lots of art on the walls. It was pretty busy while we were there, but not in the least bit crowded. We sat at the bar, which was run by an enormous former football player (if I eavesdropped correctly) and a woman from New Zealand on the verge of retirement. I'd watch that movie. We were helped by the woman, who was friendly and knowledgeable, a great guide to the house wines. The flight started with the 2025 Rosé of Mourvédre, then went to Liquid Farm's Chardonnays and Pinots. There was the 2024 White Hill Chardonnay, the 2024 Golden Slope Chardonnay, the 2023 "SBC" Pinot Noir, the 2023 Fiddlestix Pinot Noir, and the 2023 Four Pinot Noir. The wines were fantastic across the board. The tasting fee was $40, on the steep side, probably because the space invites casual drinking. It was easily waived, with one flight waived per two bottles purchased. The wines were all between $30 and $94, so this was easy math. The kind of easy math that had us leaving Los Olivos with a trunk--and back seat--full of wine. We picked up a White Hill Chardonnay, an "SBC" Pinot, and two of the Fiddlestix, a prime haul that we look forward to drinking. We had a lovely time at Liquid Farm and would recommend it to anyone wine tasting in Los Olivos.

I'm a huge wine nerd, so I tend to ask a lot of questions, usually because I'm genuinely excited about what's in the glass. It was a pretty slow day when we visited, so we were able to have a really personal tasting experience, which is always my favorite. If the room had been packed, I'm sure the interaction would have been different, but that's not a knock on them at all. We just got lucky with the timing. The tasting room itself isn't doing anything wildly unique, but honestly, who cares when the wines are this good? The focus here is clearly on what's in the glass, and Dragonette continues to make some of my favorite wines in Santa Barbara County.
