The assistant finally must go pull him away. I had requested a new night guard as my dog ate my old one, so he fit me for that. I was also there to have my daytime guard refit. This was the third time I have had to come in because this daytime guard has never fit properly. It hurts my teeth and causes headaches - the very opposite of its intended purpose. Dr. Dixson had to be reminded by his assistant about this and it was as though she had asked a child to share their favorite candy. He started huffing and puffing and of course rushed the job saying, "That's about the best possible fit as a dentist." He went back to his sports conversation with the college coach. Upon arriving home, I retried the daytime guard with the same result: tooth pain and headache. I was so frustrated that I just chucked the stupid thing in the trash. $495 for a daytime guard that never fit and will never fit. Today I arrived a few minutes early to my appointment to pick up my night guard. At exactly twenty minutes past my scheduled appointment time, I still had not been seen and decided to walk out. It is clear Dr. Dixson cares more about funding the next addition to his lake house than his patients. My message to Dr. Dixson: You can have the $495 and the night guard. It will likely fit as poorly as the last one I threw away. Stuff it.

I went to Oakhills Family Dental because they did except amariplan and they offered a first time $59 visit cleaning with x ray BUT Oakhills Family said they could not clean my teeth because of a gum infection. their treatment course was 2 visits of deep gum cleaning about $1000 and said I needed a crown and a filing to cost about $1500 WOW! $2500 Dr Hauetter said he didn't think I needed any of that and I left with a cleaning $77 and am do to go back in 3 months to re clean to pope fully clear up the gum infection. These people care and are not out to do any unnessacary procedures. I recommend them

His staff is also intelligent and gentle during the cleaning. I also no longer find myself waiting 45 minutes just to get in the room for the cleaning, which used to drive me crazy. Each time I get there, I walk right into the room and they have even called me a couple times asking if I wanted to come in earlier for my appointment. They have flexible hours and when I mentioned that I was interested in Invisalign, they took my insurance, found out that I was not covered and let me decide if I wanted it or not (I didn't). I never felt pressured into choosing it. My only gripe is that they do have a text appointment reminder program, but do not sign up. It sends way too many reminders.

I had a…read moredental emergency Thursday night (leading into Labor Day weekend) as my front left veneer fell off. I called that night asking for an emergency appointment. They called me at 7 am the next morning and got me in at 11am that day (keep in mind- I am not even a patient of theirs). The dentist was great and re attached my veneer after numbing my mouth. He educated me on future complications/what to avoid/what to watch for. His assistant was wonderful. I have had no problems since (knock on wood). The next day (so Saturday), the same gal who called me at 7am called to check on me. The best customer service I think I have ever had in my life. Again, I will be switching to this office. I cannot recommend them enough.

I'm happy to say we found it at KC Family Dental. Our 3 year old son had his first visit and it was a success! The hygienist approached him at his comfort level and he even let her clean his teeth a bit. Dr. Brent answered all of our questions about what we needed to do for his oral health and had a great personality to work with kids. Fast forward to my appointment and it turned out I needed multiple fillings on both sides of my mouth and a crown. I was nervous to have that amount of dental work done and be in a dental chair for over 2 hours but I'm happy to report it went very well. Dr. Brent and her assistant could not have been nicer during the whole experience and the combination of their friendly attitudes and confidence made me comfortable. The addition of having a TV to watch while I had the work done was also a great distraction.
