Backstory: For all my life I had suffered from numerous dentists not being able to numb my teeth adequately before procedures and this always caused me mild to severe pain during fillings. I endured and became accustomed to the pain for over 15 years of procedures and believed that I must have just been an excessively sensitive patient. Then, I was lucky enough to switch to Dr. Garrison and now every single procedure has been completely pain-free for the past 10 years. Perfectly numb, every single time . Even if I will need to move somewhere else in the US, I will literally buy airline tickets just to have the peace of mind that I won't be in pain during dental work. I went back to Dr. Medley and was given a cursory exam and a handful of antibiotics with the mention of a possible root canal. But seeing that the before treatment had maxed out my benefits I was sent away with no clear treatment plan. I ended up at the emergency dentist a day later with 2 root canals and on strong antibiotics for a massive infection. Two out of the 4 teeth Dr. Medley had worked on had died. I don't feel the risks involved with working on smaller teeth were properly explained to me by her or her team and I feel the interest in my care shrank in tandem with my benefits amount.

Yesterday I went and was told there was no dentist to see me. Why would you not tell your patients this ahead of time? I would have definitely rescheduled. The hygienist did a fine job, but said you really only need to be seen by a dentist once/year and she didn't see anything of concern. When they fitted me for my crowns I was in so much pain I was crying and no one even bothered to ask if I was okay. Turns out my left post for my implant was failing. I didn't find that out until I went back to this office to get my crowns put in. When I went back the custom abutment for my crown was GOLD. Mind you my crowns are going where my lateral teeth should be. That's when they sent me back to my oral surgeon to get my implant checked out. Four months later I finally got the crowns put on. If I could go back In time I would have NEVER picked this office to do my crowns. Very unprofessional and failed me in so many ways.
