Omg! The cronuts here are delicious! I had a cronut from Holey Confections for the first time at…read morethe location in Stittsville. And while it was good, it wasn't soooo delicious. It had multiple layers, but they weren't fluffy and moist like at the Orleans location. The ironic thing is that at the Stittsville location, I bought it mid-day and paid full price. The cronuts I had at the Orleans location were part of the end of day sale, yet they tasted fresher than the ones in Stittsville. So my brother heard that the Orleans location had an end of day sale where after 4:30pm they sell off the remainder of their cronuts for $25 a half dozen. The donuts are $5.80 each regularly. When he arrived at 4:30pm he found out the sale actually starts at 4pm, but it was ok because they still had donuts left. He got a PB&J (Peanut butter and jelly), Raspberry Lemon, Cinnamon Sugar (they call it Sinnerman), Sprinkles, PS no L (Pumpkin Spice no Latte) and Vanilla (they call it Anastasia, which I initially thought was strange, but I think it might be a reference to 50 Shades of Grey, which I never read nor watched but have heard more than enough about it from my friends, lol). The PB&J, Raspberry Lemon and PS no L are all cream filled. The other ones don't have any filling. I had a quarter of each of the filled ones and they were fantastic. My favourite was the Raspberry Lemon one. I loved the tart lemon curd filling. I didn't try the non-filled ones. Cronuts are part croissant and part donut and all delicious, lol. I definitely recommend this Orleans location of Holey Confections. Since my brother bought them, I can't comment on service or ambiance, but I know they are located in a strip mall and there is free parking on site. (2)

Cool spot! Had heard a lot about it. It's in a plaza, lots of parking. Store was cute, clean…read more Selection surprised me. Not a lot, but what was there looked good. Service was kind and informative. I bought a regular donut, double chocolate. It was delicious. Not all of these are made equal. The gent behind me got a mix of the fancier donuts and let me snap a pic! I'll be back for a pick up for a gathering. I'd also like to try their coffee.

Of course, you can't just sit down in any restaurant these days to enjoy your food, because of COVID. But you CAN get a treat and take it away. You can eat outside, especially when it's sunny out and the weather is nice. Or serve them for desert to your family, while celebrating thanksgiving, or birthday(s). I like to bake, but to be honest, I'm not so good with the fancying up the baked goods - too much like "playing with your food"! We tried a package of 6, and saved 10%, which was very nice. Bear in mind that these are not your average pastries; they are in fact more expensive. You'll pay between $2.50 and $3.50 per doughnut. But they really are beautiful! And I really did need a pick-me-up! And I really enjoyed the goo-ier ones... Lots of sugar rush in these :-) I will remember this place for special occasions!

At work, the donuts disappeared within minutes. My coworkers couldn't stop talking about them. A few even admitted they're switching allegiances from SuzyQ to Holey Confections. That's a major WIN. As for us at home... well, we've been converted for a while now. This just confirmed it all over again. From the insanely flaky layers to the unique flavours that hit every sweet spot, these donuts are on a whole other level. Once again, Holey Confections proves why they're the GOAT of donuts. I finally got to try a 140 layer donut at Holey Confections!! Picked up the S'mores Please donut…read more($5.85) and while it was good, I found the price tag a bit hefty. The layers look really cool. It's more of a cronut. The donut/cronut I got wasn't cream filled, it just had a chocolate glaze with graham cracker dust sprinkled on top and a marshmallow cut in half on the top drizzled with caramel. I would have liked it more if there was a generous dollop of marshmallow fluff on top or something like that. It didn't taste particularly S'mores-like to me. I'm glad I tried it, but it's a bit too spendy for me personally. However, if you have the funds and like cronuts, I would recommend Holey Confections. Staff were friendly and efficient. The donut shop is co-located with Honey Cafe. There is seating inside and a few picnic tables out front. There are 2 parking spots in front of the shop/cafe where you can park for free in their private lot. I was lucky to snag one, but if they are occupied, it's street parking only.

Rounding up from a 3.5 to 4!…read more We had lunch at Kelly's Landing nearby and wanted to try Mimi's for dessert on the way home. Though they're located on a corner lot of a busy street, it's still a pretty unassuming little building. I definitely spotted the graffiti first before the Mimi's sign. One side of the small building is graffiti for Mimi's and the other side is for the Burgers on Bridge food truck right next door, both by local artist Falldowng. There's really just room for one or two people max to step inside the building to order at the counter, while other people wait outside. It wasn't very busy on a weekday just after lunch, but there weren't too many donuts left. They specialize in gourmet yeast donuts. We ordered cinnamon sugar, cookie monster, lemon meringue, Mexican hot chocolate, cannoli, and explosive chocolate peanut butter. I was expecting more pronounced flavours, more of a pop, especially in the Mexican hot chocolate and "explosive" chocolate peanut butter donuts. I think the lemon meringue was the most flavourful because of the tart lemon filling, but I liked the cannoli the best because of the cannoli filling with mini chocolate chips. They had a notice to customers that said their prices recently went up. Not sure what they were before, since this was my first time visiting, but we paid $20 even for a half a dozen yeast donuts. They also serve ice cream scoops, sundaes, milkshakes, coffees, and DavidsTea. The ice cream is from Central Smith Creamery. I also got a large cookie dough milkshake and a cinnamon sugar donut. You can get a milkshake with any of the ice cream flavours they have available. The cookie dough was good, more tame, which I thought was great for a milkshake, but I wish I had a bit of a bigger straw to suck up the mini chocolate chips. The donut was a classic, not too thick and not too airy. I'm not a big cake person, so we didn't order any of the cake donuts, but they did have a few available (s'mores, double chocolate, chocolate dip, and vanilla dip). They have a few small tables and chairs outside for groups of 2, a large parking lot, and a ramp for accessibility.
