I had used $90 on a manicure last year and still had the remaining $110 balance clearly written on the card, along with the original receipt in my purse. When I called to schedule the facial, I even asked if I could use a card for part of the cost and was told I absolutely could. When I handed the receptionist my card to pay, she told me there was no balance left. I showed her my receipt proving I had only used the card once and should still have $110 remaining. She printed a receipt for a service purchased by the person who gifted me the card and said, "See, you did spend it." I told her that was not me, that was the woman who gave me the card. She then explained that they had switched to a new system and that it looked like the credit from my gift card had been mistakenly applied to her customer account, not mine. I know my friend likely had no idea this happened; she gifted me the card quite a while ago. I am not going to call her to ask, as this situation was mortifying enough as it was. Despite that, the receptionist told me there was nothing they could do because the money was already "spent." I was stunned. This was a gift that belonged to me, and through no fault of my own, the spa's error meant I lost over half of its value. I owed $210 for my service rather than the $100 I had planned for. No effort was made to make things right, no offer to investigate further, and no credit for the balance I lost. It was disappointing, frustrating, and honestly shocking. The way the front desk handled this situation was unacceptable. I left feeling completely disrespected and taken advantage of. I will not be back.

I get being careful with our hair, but maybe put some more attention into selecting better management, perhaps training them HOW to speak to customers when you aren't able to perform a request so they don't make customers feel like an imposter in your chair.

I go here every two weeks for a massage (with Yvette, one of my favorite people in the world). I probably pass 20 or more places closer to Georgetown but I would not think of changing. I can schedule online, can depend on the scheduled time being honored, and know that I'll receive a wonderful and caring massage. It is something I look forward to every other week and it keeps me going. My exercise is cycling and I'm currently doing around 100 miles a week so the massage is critical to keeping things aligned and working right. The rest of the business is also run professionally. I get to see it while I'm there and it is a calm business place. Highly recommend.

The staff is friendly, the facility is in pristine condition, and everything smells ahmazing! I had been hearing about body wraps from tons of other sources (Groupon, spas, co-workers, etc) and was intrigued by the advertisements that claimed to tighten skin, detox, and even contribute to inch loss. I had lost weight over the summer and desperately needed to tighten some flabby skin (I know, ew.) that hadn't had time to catch up with the inch loss yet. And hey, who wouldn't want to detox and lose some more inches too? After a series of three body wraps, I've concluded: -It does tighten (yay, no more gross, loose skin!). -You do lose a few inches overall. It's a little here and a little there but it adds up. -How do you know if you've detoxed? (I know this isn't a conclusion) -Overall, I'm happy with the results. My only critique is that I wish they kept a full supply of both the sensitive body wrap cream and the regular body wrap cream at all times. From what I understand, the creams stimulate blood flow and make you feel warm as a result. For people with more sensitive skin, the regular cream can make you feel like your skin is burning. I tried the sensitive cream the first time to be safe, but they were out of it the second time so I went with the regular. The regular turned me pink for a little bit (it went away in less than an hour) but it didn't bother me at all. Honestly, it just felt like Icy Hot or Bengay. And! I saw way better results with the regular! My skin felt tighter, and I lost almost twice the number of inches overall. That being said, I specifically asked for the regular cream when I arrived for my third wrap. Unfortunately, there was only a small glob of it left, so the majority of what was applied was the sensitive cream. My results the third time around were similar to the first (which again, weren't as good as the second wrap). After my next 10 lb goal is reached (this might take a while since Yelp carbs- delicious carbs that are offered at Yelp events- are hard to resist), I would definitely come back for the wraps again to tighten up. I tried a few different tier 1 therapists and unfortunately didn't have a very relaxing or positive experience with any of them. I also found appointments consistently started late but ended exactly on time, meaning massage time was cut by 5-10 minutes. This was frustrating and needs to be addressed.

There was LOTS of banging around behind my head like she kept dropping the head sprayer into the tub. Lots of splashing from that as well. She was in the lobby when I was checking out so I said my service was fine, and tipped her well, as she did perform a service even though it wasn't great.
