A lovely, modern, little b&b on the windswept hills of Doolin. Just a little ways outside of "town" - this place feels like you're in the country. Sweeping views all around from the rooms (well, the ones we were in anyway), and the deck outside.
Rooms are comfortably and minimally furnished - I'm not a fan of the lace and doily b&b so this place was refreshing.
Great light, so many windows, nice and clean, and Pearse was great.
He seems to be a jack of all trades - construction, hotelier, chef. . . he made the breakfast for us and did a great job, even cooking my mom's eggs super well done, just like she likes. He was off property when we arrived, but a phone call and a few short minutes later and he had arrived to check us in.
I'd love a more communal spot to sit and chat - the dining room felt a little sterile for lounging, and it was a bit breezy outside to take advantage of the picnic table, but that's a minor quibble. We just headed into one of the pubs in town and did our lounging there, pint in hand.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat the next time I was in town, and recommend it heartily! read more
