Roll up Roll up!
Black Velvet Espresso is here to stay, and for some it's the only way.
As I was walking up Bourke street, with hawk like precision I sighted Velvet
from a fair distance. The anticipation builds as I approach. The first thing
I notice is the ques, but not to fear, I have the time! It's a great little hole in the
wall that has been around for some time now, and one that is worthy of
Melbourne's coffee league.
For a space of this size, it doesn't get much busier than this. I'm glad to have
finally made the journey down to this excellent little space, which absolutely
hums with activity and life. The freshly made and supplied little biscuits, cakes,
shortbreads and so forth, are all well worthy of purchase.
A strong hold of the corporate office clan, whom stream endlessly at its doors
in ques. Yes, they pump out a lot of coffee, it's very popular, but at the same time;
it's lots of coffee done exceptionally well consistently. For a good experiment in observation and science; watch the technical detail that comprises a pour over coffee, it's heaven. Service is great, being both attentive and friendly and charming. It's true to see, that the owner's and workers have both their hearts on their sleeve as well as in their work. It's pride with every cup of coffee. Well worth
the hunt or search in the CBD. read more
