For my brother's wedding, we hired this limousine company and they were great. They were very prompt. The drive was smooth and the driver was very attentive but kept to himself. The car was in great shape, very clean.. They provided us with cold beverages and the sound system was great. I would highly recommend this limousine company for any affair. This company is Racesis and unprofesional , I rented a Hummer H2 for my birthday to take couple friends to a vineyard in long island.i found this company at limo.com i called them they took my info took a deposite did not send me a email confirmation so one day before the event i had to called to confirm, the day of the event they showed up 30min late did not call me to let me know anything , Then he didnt have the address so i had to look up the address and print out to give him dirrection. 8hr later we finish having dinner at the vineyard and on our way home 15min from my house the drive stop the car open the partision and yald out You people need to collect the money before i drop you off or im not moving. this was scary and unprofecsional. i told the man that the company never told me anythig about paying over $1000 in cash they took my card orver the phone and took my deposit plus . the driver got man and start yalling at every one saying racesis words and refering to us as your people as in black people he did not want to take our card for payment he wanted cash so we had to call the police becouse he looked us in the limo for about 10min and did not want to let us out when the cops came he open the door and told the cop we didnt want to pay he the officers where very fare they let him talk then they ask us what was the problem so we explain to him our side of the store then the officer told the drive that they are willing to pay you why are you not taking payment he told the officer becouse they need to pay cash , the officer said to him where in your contrat states that this is how it had to be paid so the driver got mad at the officer then said ok they can pay with card smh worse expirience ever read more

The only reason I have left this company, if you want to call them a company is there is no zero star option! It all started out on www.limo.com when I inquired about a car for 8 people for New Year's Eve. They emailed me from outside the limo.com website, I'm assuming not to pay them their percentage. They offered a such a great price so I was intrigued and left a $75 deposit on my credit card and was told to pay the rest in cash the night of the services. I originally had a pick up of a little later, but about ten days ahead of time I requested for a earlier pickup and was answered several days later that the changes had been made. The day before I emailed to get a confirmation being that two families were counting on them, there was no answer. So the next morning, the day of pickup I emailed again, with no response! A few hours later I decided to call the woman (Patricia) who I originally spoke with and she said there may be a problem with the car. She said she would call the office and see if they could do the right thing. A little while later a man called back and said the car broke down and would try to get me another car. Later he called back And said sorry but he could not offer me a car! What! No responses to emails! Then no car for New Year's Eve? If I did not try contacting them three times in two days, two families with children would have been waiting for our transportation to NYC on New Year's Eve! I was terribly disappointed with the services this company provided. Firstly I payed for a Chrysler 300M limo. I was shocked to see a beat up Lincoln arrive late to our door. The driver didn't know how to use the audio system and on a very cold night the heat did not work appropriately. All the guests were freezing during the ride. When we arrived at our destination, we were let out on the wrong corner. I kindly asked the driver if she would drive around the block to let us out in front of the venue so we would not have to walk in the cold. She gave an nasty attitude before actually moving the vehicle to bring us to the proper entrance. At the end of the night she accused us of stealing an audio wire for an iPhone. This to me was laughable because after spending so much money for a limousine, I certainly would not steal a $5-10, no matter how displeased. We allowed the driver to depart an hour early, but there was no thanks. I did have choice words for her and her manager, but there was no excuse for such terrible service on such an important night no me and my fiance. read more

My sister hired this company for her wedding in NJ. Not a single member of the wedding party had a positive thing to say about the service we received. The driver was late picking up the groom and ushers because he claimed his gps couldn't find the correct street. This delayed the rest of the day and stressed out the bride. When the limo got to the hotel to pick up the girls, we had to carry and store our bags ourselves. The running step was broken and tilted, making entering and exiting the car very tricky in heels. The a/c was on, but it was sweltering in the car, and a piece of the floor by the door was also damaged. After the ceremony, the driver shook the champagne bottle, then handed it to an usher to open. We had to scramble to get the glasses out of the limo ourselves. On the way to take pictures, the driver asked the bride to call him from the back of the limo to give him directions! There was no way to communicate with the front of the car. Then the driver began smoking and the smell overwhelmed us. The ushers had to jump out and move traffic cones out of his way. When he dropped us off at the park, he asked where he could go to get gas. Then he couldn't find the beach. How do you lose the entire Atlantic Ocean?!?! These people are awful. We just had our wedding on July 5th and they nearly ruined it. They were late an hour and 15 minutes! The day of my wedding they were supposed to pick us up at 11:30am. When they weren't there at 11:45am we decided to call to see if they were on their way. Turns out they booked our wedding for the 6th not the 5th. We almost had NO LIMO at all! This is after they took a $100 deposit from me over the phone months in advance. The kicker is that we confirmed with them via email the time and date two weeks before the wedding and they responded saying they would be there on July 5th! How does that happen??? So they ended up being an hour and 15 minutes late for pickup. I will spare you the details but we had a lot of stuff ruined and cut out of our wedding day because of this. Black Tie Limo didn't even bother to apologize! We paid a little over $200 an hour. When my brother went to pay the limo driver, the driver gave me brother a hard time because he was taking $200 off for the hour that he was late. Our biggest mistake was paying these people anything. When we arrived back from our honeymoon we didn't even have an apology from Black Tie Limousine. I sent them an email 2 weeks ago and still have not heard anything in return. Short: Just pay the extra $100 for a good limo. Long: They showed up on time, I thought I was in the clear. But a battered up limo with a huge scrape on the side showed up (the driver hit a car picking us up, I later found out). The interior was worn, the air and radio didn't work (we spent 30 minutes of paid time playing with it) and finally the fans and radio turned on (no air). The driver was creepy, and apparently had no sense of direction. Late for the first stop on our ride, because of the limo chaos, I had to change all other reservations. He drove PAST every stop. Going to the third and final stop, I didn't trust him and looked at my iPhone - he was going the wrong way. We pounded on the window and he said he was taking us back to Manhattan - never even looked at the itinerary that he had with him which I had neatly typed up. He spent another 5 minutes on the side of the road trying to look the place up so I eventually gave him my iPhone just to get us there. THEN he ended up hurrying us along at the last stop and I explained we were late to EVERYTHING because of him. So much for booking a limo so you don't have to worry about the logistics of transportation. I could not have been more clear with my outline (including addresses, times, and a map) of where to go. When I complained to the company, Patricia was less than helpful. Basically admitted that the driver is new and terrible but said that the roads on Long Island can be confusing (there are 2 main roads in the Hamptons, they run parallel) and made up excuses for why they DIDN'T KNOW WHERE WE WERE GOING. I wish there were more ways to express my anger than Yelp ... I want to give this place all the bad publicity that's possible. read more

After reading the review I was very worried, but everything turned out great for my 21st birthday. I took the limo from Brooklyn to NJ for 8 hours and I paid less than $700. The driver arrived 20 mins before our schedule time. The bar was stock with water and soda. Everything went great so thanks black tie for making my birthday special. read more

So I rented a stretch hummer for my sister's graduation without doing the research first. It was a last minute trip and I wanted to make it special. It never occurred to me to check for reviews but an hour before they arrived I checked this site and WOWW was I nervous... However I was totally taken aback when the driver arrived 15 minutes early, the limo was clean (I'm a stickler for cleanliness) and it was nice and warm when we got in (It was 20 degrees outside). Our driver was very courteous and did not speed once in the 90 minute drive down to Atlantic City (no smoking either, btw). He dropped us off at Harrah's around 11pm and did not fuss when we arrived back to the limo at 2:30 (30 minutes later than previously discussed). The company did not even ask for an additional fee for the 30 min and did not tack it on to the bill at the end of the night either. We ended up paying a ridiculously great price for such a last minute arrangement, and I had no complaints. Not too sure why all these people had such terrible things to say.. got me nervous for no reason! read more

Hired this company for my wedding, WHAT A MISTAKE. They arrived late in a vehicle that I did not order, it smelled of smoke, was dirty, and the air conditioning didn't work. I Booked with this company on Nov 10,2012 for limo service for a night on the town in celebration of my brothers birthday. i have use other companies in the past (Camelot, RoSal, Romantique) normally drivers arrive 15 to 20 mins before the time requested. The driver Joe arrived exactly 8:00 pm. I paid him the balance as he SAT in the car I stood out side at the window.. I notice a walking cane, left over food trays, soda bottles and garbage in the front seat and all around the floor I thought it was very nasty but, we're riding in the back so I disregarded it. That was just the beginning of our night, We had to make a stop at the local liquor store because as stated in the contract the car would be stocked with ice, soda and a bottle of champagne. Not the case, I immediately informed the driver the bar area contained 6 hot sodas that looked to be left from a previous event not a cube of ice or a bottle of champagne. Joe quickly tried to fix the situation that would have never happened if he checked the contract and condition of his car before picking up his clients...Joe returned to the car with 1 bag of ice and a bottle of Korbel. I stated to Joe that he may want to get another bag because it wasn't clearly enough to split between the Korbel and the bar area. he said he would. We had to stop for 2 pick ups throughout Brooklyn, Joe got out to open the door and I noticed him limping and having trouble breathing (all along as he waited for us I noticed him smoking outside the limo), I asked if he was okay and should I call the company for another driver/car. He explained he was suffering from a slight cold. (looked severe to me) ...Continuing on to our final pick up and then our destination MSG arriving around 10:15 pm we were unable to pull into a location to be dropped off after driving around for several minutes we collectively decided to get out on 7th ave. (the event entrance was on 8th ave) having to walk 1 block. before departing I stated to Joe our event would end about midnight and if he could arrive at the same location where we were dropped off 5 to 10 minutes before midnight, I also reminded him that the ice provided earlier had now completely melted and asked within the 2 hr waiting time frame if he could replace the ice he agreed we departed ways with cell phone numbers exchanged for contact. Thank God !! because like clock work the show ended at midnight and give or take 10 minute to walk to the exit I began to contact Joe to obtain his location, He stated he was on 28th Street which raised my eyebrow because not only did he have 10 extra minutes from scheduled pick up he was late and interfering in the per hour rate. Joe arrived at 12:26 am he got out to open the door and began severely coughing, I asked him did he replenish the ice and he stated he was unable to do so, We are now forced to drink hot soda and pop hot champagne. I tried to enjoy the night after stopping at bar for a couple of COLD beers. We returned to the car to end our night and noticed Joe outside hacking ,sneezing and extremely red. I asked if he needed help he said "no" I don't feel well I'm coming down with something. We waited for him to gather himself together and proceeded home. I was the final drop off I tipped Joe (although the tip was included in the contract) He apologized for the night and drove off. I never experienced this situation before and I didn't like it at all. I would not recommend this company although this may have been an isolated incident anyone performing a service should not come to work extremely ill it looks bad on the company your representing. I would never chose Black tie for my services because of this situation. read more

DO NOT USE THIS LIMO COMPANY! I rented their white Hummer for my daughter's prom and we could not believe the condition of both the inside and the outside of the limo! One of the back doors to the back of the limo would not open because it was smashed in and hadn't been repaired. There were several places where the limo had obviously been in accidents and never repaired. There was rust running the entire length of the limo along the running board on both sides of the limo. The inside of the limo was even worse! There was no air conditioning, used Solo cups were in the cup holders, open cans of soda, which were half drank, were in the cup holders, their was only a handful of water bottles for a limo which holds 14 and the entire inside smelled of smoke! I have tried to contact the company numerous times but they will not return my calls. DO NOT USE THIS LIMO COMPANY! I had read good reviews on Black Tie Limo but I guess it is a chain and their are others which are good. THIS BLACK TIE LIMO IS NOT GOOD! read more

My friends and I decided to go big this St. Patty's day. No one wanted to drive, so we rented a limo to take us into the city and back. Black Tie Limousine delivered on all of their promises and it was definitely a St. Patty's day we would never forget! They arrived 10 minutes early and stocked the limo with champagne! They let us blast our music and we were jamming out the whole way there. Once we arrived in Manhattan, we had about 4 hours to bar hop and dine at random places. After endless cocktails and dancing, none of us realized 5 hours went by!!!!! Luckily the limo driver was totally cool and understanding. He picked us up at our current location, no questions asked. He was kind enough to pick up some water bottles for the ride home. It was a wonderful experience, I would recommend Black Tie Limousine to anyone in the New York- New Jersey area. Advice to all: If you monetarily compensate those offering a service to you, they will take care of you in return! No questions asked. read more
