I sent some idea photos and what I got was beyond perfect. Simple. Lovely. Perfect. THEN I ate the cake! A vanilla cake. Like what can you expect but OMG! It's a vanilla like I've never had. This is stab your granny for the recipe good! Honest! My hubby has NO sweet tooth but he gorged this down like a starving man eating slabs! It became a competition of who can eat more before it's gone! And now--well Everytime we are up we get a small cake and indulge. Even if we are just popping through the cupcake version is just as amazing. Look, I have no idea what is in this vanilla but it's AMAZING. You tell ME how they take vanilla cake- as basic as it gets- and turn it to incredible. I'm not even going to talk about everything else I've had I. The shop since then like macaroons, cinnamon rolls, that s'mores cupcake (drool). I'm just goi g to say Go! You will not regret it and whoever you bring treats home to will feel loved! But don't blame me if you get addicted to them because this is the best- hands down.

The bakery items all looked delicious and we wanted them all. We ordered cinnamon bun and had it warmed. I ordered one of the specialty drinks (The Jolene) and my friends wanted just black coffee. They did not have any fresh coffee so they offered her espresso with water, and said they could bring the half and half out for her to add herself. The cinnamon bun was mouth watering and delicious. My friend and I both felt that our coffee wasn't very flavorful, and almost watered down. I would definitely try it again if ever in town, especially for the bakery items!

I know you're thinking, "there's no way that tasted good" but it did! My sis has lots of food sensitivities that cause her auto-immune eczema to break out so we avoid all those allergens. My sister LOVED this cake! I wanted a special cake for her 30th since she hasn't eaten cake in 5 years! Christine from Baking Sweet Scents was up to the challenge and spent time with me listing ingredients so we were completely sure it was safe. I really appreciated the time and effort. Christine also deals with some allergens so she understands the difficulties. I selected the chocolate almond flour cake, double layered, semi-naked, with stevia instead of sugar, and macarons on top to be nestled into the specific flowers I wanted, gladiolus for August birthday month. The cost for this custom cake with all the specific ingredients was so reasonable. I will be ordering another smaller one for my grandmother's 80th who also avoids sugar and gluten. I see this trend becoming popular, thanks Christine!

I love how there are paintings/chemical formulas with flowers on the tables as their decor. Their drinks are very affordable and reasonable. I got the lavender latte which was around $5 and an Americano for about $3. The lavender latte had a good syrup taste, but not the best lavender latte I had. It was good though (4/5!) Some of the macaroon flavors were lacking :( -earl grey: I had high hopes because I love a good earl grey drink and pastry. But I didn't taste any of the earl gray flavor -lavender honey: I love flower flavors. I got their lavender latte granted. I think only the aftertaste has a sliver of lavender to it. It didn't give me that warm feeling like a spring menu would. -pistachio: only the aftertaste had a slight nutty flavor, pretty disappointed with how it came out -rose lychee: The crème had a slight lychee flavor like kind of fruity. It was a miss for me -salted caramel: This one had an obvious flavor -matcha: crazy enough, this one was the best Overall, I wasn't a crazy fan of their macaroons. We got 6 macarons for about $18, which came in a cute little box. It's a small cafe, but I came in the afternoon where there was only one or two other pairs of people here at the tables. This is a small kiosk located inside the Phipps Plaza Shopping Mall. My favorites are the pistachio and Raspberry which were so soft and yummy in tasty. That's my favorite and what I look for in a macaroon is not only flavor but the texture and freshness. I was impressed because I know baking is an art and most people just eat because that's what their palate like but that doesn't mean the macaroon itself is bad. I love this place. I built my own box of six and picked Red Velvet, Nutella, Pistachio, Raspberry, Dark Chocolate and Cookies & Cream. The macaroons are delicious. I tasted several different flavors and they were all amazing, so much yummy flavors and the packaging is so cute and attractive. The list of good flavors goes on. I am working on trying them all. Macaroons are little pricey, but worth the price. Also, the girl on the counter, who works there is so kind, friendly and helpful in picking up the right flavors. I would highly recommended this place and would like everyone try it at least once and you will not regret.
