Most incompetent and unprofessional service I have ever experienced out of any service industry…read more(not just beauty salons). This is not the place for people who like natural-looking and well-blended color. Save your money and avoid adding grey hairs, go somewhere else. Thankfully, even after the owner of fashions ahead and her gang tried to convince me that my hair turned out the way I asked and refused to correct their mistake, several other salons begged to fix the outdated 90s stripes that they (fashions ahead) wanted to so adamantly stand behind as a job well done. Lesson learned, if you're serious about your hair, stick with the professionals. Fashions ahead is completely and utterly UNPROFESSIONAL!

This review is specific to Shelby as the stylists all operate independently…read more I initially found Shelby through a Groupon and I'm so glad that I did! She is easy to book appointments with and has a nice variety of availability. The salon itself is bright and nicely set up. There are two nail techs and several stations for stylists. They have two shampoo sinks (where you can also get waxing done) and two dryers. Shelby has done cuts, colors and full highlights for me and also done cuts for my kids. What I like is that she is honest about what will and won't work with colors and styles. If she thinks something won't last or that you won't be happy, she will tell you and suggest alternatives that might work better. She works efficiently but you never feel rushed and her prices are very affordable. I always look and feel amazing after a visit to Shelby. Highly recommend her!
