I spoke with Carrie who altered her schedule for that day to fit us in and we couldn't have had a more wonderful experience. She took the time to get us comfortable with our horses, I had Montana and my wife had Sonny, and we fed them treats, she showed us how to saddle them up properly, and patiently explained how to properly ride and handle our beautiful horses. She then led us on their scenic trail through flower-bedded fields, hilly horse paths, and by a scenic lake all while she took hundreds of pictures of us throughout our journey to cherish for years to come. Carrie has a beautiful farm, stable, and even an indoor area for riding lessons and parties. Her horses are all beautiful, well-kept, trained to handle all level of riders, and obviously well-loved and cared for. I highly recommend Misty Hollow for everyone, no matter which experience you choose to partake in (trail riding, lessons, parties, equestrian, etc). I would give this more than 5 stars if I could. I really love horses and was interested in grooming and tacking the horse I am to ride. I have ridden the same horse so far and she is perfect for now. Cari is a wonderful instructor and I have learned many things I was never taught before. She is also very patient! She also cares about horses and takes great care of them and that was part of my decision to ride here. I have already signed up for additional lessons. I went on a trail ride yesterday for the first time and all I can say is it was incredibly awesome. We walked some and enjoyed the scenery and had the opportunity to canter as well. It was loads of fun and I look forward to going again. If you are looking for a place to learn to ride, continue your training and going on Trail rides this is definitely the place to go! When the gentleman first got there, everyone was so amazed at the pony! It was a great surprise! both the gentleman and the pony were so patient and kind to the children who were all anxious to get a ride! I am so disappointed I can not remember their names, never been a skill of mine...I will ask around and actually respond to my own message because that's how serious it is, they both should be recognized for the awesome work they do! 10/10, would definitely recommend and book again! Vicki Peters is a great teacher who can clearly communicate what you need to be doing. I am learning new things, and breaking old habits. She is very easy to talk to and ask questions. In addition, the horse I get to ride during lessons is the biggest and nicest horse I've ever ridden and is a great teacher in his own right. Lastly, the facilities are beautiful, the horse owners I've met are friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. I have driven past the Quiet Victory Farm sign on Rt 579 for years.
