There's also a lot to do here: a splash park (in season), a golf course, bike paths, fishing, tennis, pickleball, and bocce. There are pavilions available for parties, along with grills and picnic tables for a BBQ. One of my favorite spots is the Rose Garden. It wasn't open on this visit (the sign noted an April 15 opening), but peak bloom is in June, and it's worth coming back for. Bottom line: A well-maintained park with something for everyone.

Being that this is a members only dog park - $25/year pending active dog license and current vaccinations for township residents - there is quite the comfort knowing that this place is secure, safe, and well maintained. Note that for people that don't live in South Brunswick, they can access the dog park for a fee of $200/year. I can't imagine anyone doing that. Just like other spots, there's an area for large dogs and small dogs. We've gone in the smaller section because our dog isn't that big. Just like you see in other places, there are two separate doors for security purposes. The first is accessible via key fob and the second opens up with your hook. Very secure. I do like that there are tennis balls in the dog park. Gives us something to play with. My dog was recently more interested in sniffing leaves than running around, but there are options, aren't there?

There's two sides, one for small and one for larger dogs. People tend to bring their larger dogs over the small dogs area when they are friendly enough which I think it's fine. I was pleasantly surprised by how courteous and polite other dog owners were too. Every person picked up after their dogs and actually were paying attention to what was going on. Although I appreciated the overall cleanliness of the park, there was construction going on that made parking difficult and confusing. I ended up parking in a residential area and trekked my way there with two beagles in tow. I also wished the bathroom and the water fountains weren't shut off for the season. Aside from the small inconveniences we had, I had a wonderful time perusing this dog park facility. I look forward to hosting another beagle meetup here in the future.

Very easy to get lost in the nature of things, staring at the river and canal. It's actually a pretty long hike if you do the red trail or even the orange one. It's not too cumbersome of a hike. Paths can get a bit narrow, so it's a bit annoying if you're walking and you encounter some bikers. Also wish there were a bit more signs, but that's probably intentional.

We concentrated on the wider and paved trails and eventually looped around 1(?) of the lakes. Many of the trails are shaded which was perfect for this mid 90s day, and the park was not crowded at Most people had masks down but pulled back up as others were nearby, we did likewise. I'm going to explore more of this overlooked gem, and I think a picnic on the lake when temps moderate. Towards the back of the one lake is a few well positioned benches( others scattered around the lake too) which we found perfect for quiet conversation and butterfly watching. I also look forward to returning in other seasons as was suggested by another review.
