Musscles were excellent. Mozzarella croquettes were good. They were out of two big menu items at opening on Saturday, that was disappointing. Prime rib is EXTREMELY smokey, and can't be served rarer than medium rare. New York strip was ordered medium rare, but arrived at table medium to medium well. I'm sure it was cooked properly at first and sat under the warmer- there is no way a chef would overcook a steak like that. All in all, for 200+ bucks it was pretty underwhelming.

Taylor was amazing, our bartender made perfect martinis and the food was off the charts! The shrimp cocktail was six of the biggest shrimp ever, the Chicken Dianne was rich and delicious and hubby's Wagyu Ribeye was spectacular! The show stealer was the pork belly, it was rendered to the perfect melt point with a flavor all it's own, no sweet sauce, just pork! It's in the middle of nowhere but oh so worth the trip!

This place is a joke!! Well right off the bat the waitress…read morewas not the most friendly. She seemed a bit put off when we tried to change our order. One of our group asked for seasoning on the steak and they refused to do it because others complained before. She said, and I quote... "We haven't put seasoning on our steaks since the 70s" How are these people even open at all. Why would you want to go spend that much money on something that has absolutely no flavor??? That's the whole point of being a chef, is making your food better than anybody else's. Learn how to cook your food correctly and people won't complain!!! They charge for lemon....‍‍‍ SERIOUSLY??? I DON'T CARE THAT'S IT'S ONLY A DIME, that's just ridiculous My poppers were made with cheddar cheese not cream cheese. (also that's not what it said on the menu... False advertising) YUCK! Not to mention, she got a little defensive when I wanted a refund for them. She took them back to the Cook and they both discussed and laughed at us complaining because they weren't what it said on the menu... Who even does that... In front of the customer... Seriously WTF‍‍‍ I ordered chicken breast and the salad. The chicken breast was not horrible, moisture wise, but completely tasteless... Again no seasoning‍ Lets just say, The salad, was the joke. A restaurant that charges these prices should not have plain iceberg lettuce with a little cabbage mixed in for a dinner salad entrée and nothing else in it other than it being the only restaurant in a 30 mile radius to serve a steak... I Don't know how this place is open. Small town... friends supporting friends, bravo to you. I hope you're able to stay open another 50 years. I just know I won't be coming back. I suggest you go to Subway. The food will be better!!!

We actually drove by this place earlier today. Beautiful boarding house. Restaurant in a separate building which appears newer. And here we are after dinner on friday night. Scalloped potatoes and baked beans, also real good. Beans probably our favorite. Dessert of a brownie and mud pie cake. The cake was new for us. A glass of white moscato was good. Small bottles of Sutter Home. Guessing, not much alcohol is consumed here.
