Communication gets an A+. Friendly on messenger and at the shop too. The young crew really knows what they're doing and takes pride in their work kinda like they're doing their own cars. They helped me to decide which tint % to apply based on what I wanted and coupled with the already factory tinted back side windows. I wanted all of the windows to have a balanced tint and they achieved that very nicely. Pay cash and get rewarded too! A win win for me. read more

I had my car windows tinted at Black It Out Tints on Sonoma Boulevard in Vallejo. shop, and I was told the tint came with a lifetime warranty. Unfortunately, that turned out not to be true. After I paid $275 for the service, the tint started peeling off on its own. I contacted the shop, and they told me to come in so they could fix it. However, every time I showed up, they made excuses, saying they were too busy and asked me to come back later. I went back more than seven times, even closing my own business to make time, and still nothing was done. Finally, the owner contacted me, and He apologized and scheduled me for an appointment the following week at 12:00 PM, asking me to arrive 10 minutes early so they could complete the job right away in about 30 minutes. I even received daily reminder messages confirming the appointment. On the day of the appointment, I arrived 10 minutes early as instructed. When I checked in, the staff said they had no record of my appointment. They still told me to leave the car and promised it would be done within an hour. I waited outside for over an hour, and they never even touched my car. Meanwhile, other customers who arrived without appointments were being served before me. While I was there, another customer driving a 2026 Nissan coupe, yellow in color, was also upset and complained that he had just gotten his car tinted. He was unhappy with the results. He said to me they did his car 2 hours ago. That made it clear to me that I'm not the only one having issues with this shop. After waiting 2-3 hours with no progress, I was told to come back again. This level of service is completely unacceptable. The staff was unprofessional, rude, and dishonest. I texted the owner, and I made it clear that I had closed my business to be there, but that did not seem to matter. This shop charged me $275 for a service that should have been covered under their so-called "lifetime warranty." Instead, I received poor workmanship and even worse customer service. I believe they should take responsibility and fix the issue properly instead of wasting my time repeatedly. Well, my car will never return to this stupid shop ever, especially the staff who worked out there. 100.% WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this business, BlackIt Out Tints, in Vallejo, to NO ONE. read more

Black It Out Tints - From them, prove for the appointment, and it show that they said to me they going to work on it right away, lie lie lie. - Car Window Tinting Near Me - Vallejo, California

I scheduled an appointment for one of their tint specials for $179 the whole car. when I get there they tell me $400 and when I set the appointment I told them exactly what kind of car I had. I say ok because I just wanted it done and then they call me after I drop off the car and they said they are leaving early and won't have my car ready until tomorrow. I said ok. I get a text saying it's ready. I go to pick it up and had to wait multiple hours. I tried calling the phone number that was texting me and nobody would answer. then a lady called me back apologizing for the wait after I was sitting at the shop for an hour. Then a week later I was rolling down my driver window and it fell off track. They wouldnt answer the phone and tried to make me wait 4 days with my driver window for them to "look at it" I got it fixed myself and will never spend money with them again. They use AI to set up appointments and communicate with their clients. They have a group of kids barely out of highschool doing the work. Go to VALLEJO TINT SHOP. I was going to them for years and when I saw blackout tints deal I went there and they raised the price on me. should have just went to Vallejo Tint Shop they don't play with your money! Also the tint is already bubbling on my rear windshield. Complete waste of money and time. read more

Made an appointment for Friday 9am. Which is what they advertise they open. Came on time to the appointment, no one there, shop was closed. Their phone number they provide seems like his wife answering the phone. She offered a $20 discount for not showing up. But I'm already off put with not showing up, how much more with the service. read more

It appears they have relocated from their previous position to a larger and more appealing one. I arrived earlier than the scheduled appointment time. One individual mentioned that it was lunchtime and they could not assist at that moment. There is always one courteous employee who works there, willing to help, and he consistently delivers excellent service; I regret not obtaining his name. This is my preferred place for all tinting needs, although they do offer various tint percentages, such as 15%, among others. read more

I've had multiple vehicles tinted here. On my last visit, there was a miscommunication with the woman I was texting. I asked if they could do the front half and sunroof for $150, and she replied they could do it for $180. Since I'd previously paid $150 for the front half, which included the front side windows and windshield, I understood the $180 quote to mean the same front half plus the sunroof. The installer explained that she had interpreted my request as just the front side windows and sunroof. He then offered to do the front half for $180 instead, without the sunroof, which meant paying $30 more than I'd previously paid for the same front half. The tint work was still good, but the communication could've been clearer. read more

I reached out to several places on Yelp for a window tint quote for my Tesla, and Skylar from Black Out Tints responded quickly with the best price in town. I was initially hesitant since they didn't have a ton of reviews yet, but the ones they did have were all positive, so I decided to give them a shot. I stopped by in the morning and was helped right away. Andy walked me through my options and made great recommendations. I ended up tinting the front and rear side windows, leaving the rear bottom partially tinted since Tesla already applies a stock tint. Andy did an excellent job seamlessly blending the new tint with the factory tint, it looks flawless from the outside! From the inside, you can see the transition, but that's expected for this car unless you tint the entire roof. I was in and out in under an hour. Overall, the quality of work, customer service, and unbeatable pricing made this a great experience. Will give in a update in a couple weeks if there are any changes. If you're looking for professional tinting at a great value, I highly recommend Black Out Tints! read more

I called and no one picked up and they called back very quickly to check in on how they could help. I asked about basic pricing, it seemed fair and I booked an appointment. When we showed up, the worker was working on another vehicle yet he took the time to speak with us, answer our many questions and he was very kind. They worked fast. Their prices are extremely fair. I will use again on other vehicles and recommend my friends. Im from Contra Costa Countey and its worth the drive to Vallejo. read more

These guys are fast and knowledgeable. Super competitive price and better results than I have had before. Definitely reccomend.

Pretty good price, the work is okay. Every once in awhile if the light hits a certain section of my windshield I see little hairs from a microfiber towel or something that could have been left behind but overall can't really beat the price and time it took to install was roughly 40 minutes. read more

Great service, and work. I went on a busy day and the owner came right over and let me know. I booked my appointment for the next day. I appreciated him not having me sit there all day waiting. The next day the job was finished fast and almost 2 months later I am very happy with the work. Very reasonable rates as well. I think some of these review are from people that don't follow instruction. The owner is clear about how to car for the tints for 3 days after service so the tints can cure. I had great service and the workmanship was fast and great. I was told sometimes bubbles happen and if they did to come back in and they would take care of them. I did not roll down my windows as instructed and had no bubbles. read more

Sky and Andy did excellent work on my wife's Nissan Rogue. Has a lifetime warranty and offered to correct any issues as soon as the tint has settled. The driver side window unfolded and is going to be taken care of, at my own garage too. Where else are going to get white glove treatment like that? Got my window tinted here and they scratched my car and damaged the window. Contacted them to let them know what happened and sent them pictures of the damage but they insisted that the blade they use doesn't scratch windows. I told them that the tracings of the scratches outline the tinting but they kept denuying. Asked Skylark for the owner's number but they provided fake contact info. I purchased a used GMC pickup truck. The driver & passenger windows had a dark window tint on them. It was so dark that I could not see my mirrors after dark. At my age, my night vision is not so good. I took my truck to Black it Out Tints & Spencer removed the dark tint. This guy was great. He understood my needs. I was worried that the glass would be damaged during the tint removal process. He assured me that he was capable, and he proved that point. Great guys at Black It Out Tints. Reasonable prices too. Absolutely amazing work, perfect pricing, great customer service. Will be back with my other cars for more work soon.

So far, Sky, one of the reps & possibly the owner, has been friendly, he has gone out of his way to make some minor issues right by redoing some of the tint, and continues to be helpful and supportive. Some of the negative reviews I see seem exaggerated and unreal, based on my experience every time I've gone back they have made it right when they did not have to. read more
