The inside and outside are dog-friendly, so bring your furbabies. There is also an outdoor water station. I put a card in with a server, was given menus, and then we found the perfect spot outside. There is a huge yard with lots of seating under the covered patio. There is also an uncovered seating area. The bar and tables inside are very unique and some of the coolest I have ever seen in a restaurant. I got a flight (four beers), but it was really hard to decide on only four. I wish we could have stayed longer so I could try more. I went with the Black Hills Blonde, Exit 32, Sturgisweiss, and Pioneer Porter. My flavorite was... Black Hills or Exit with Pioneer in a close third. They were all very good. We shared the BLT with a side of slaw and the Coconut Shrimp with tots. Another thing that made me so happy was that when I asked for a side of ranch, I was given a bottle! The favs of the meal were the BLT, which had very yummy crispy bacon, and the tots dipped in ranch. I could have sat there all day moving in and out of the sun, sipping on beers.

We went at about 830 on a Friday morning. It was very busy but the owner/operators (mom and…read moredaughter) kept things moving. We had the Meathead and the Sunrise pasty and both were amazing. We also had the chocolate cake glazed donut and a strawberry cream cheese pastry. Delish! The brewed coffee was very good. Don't miss this place if you're visiting Deadwood!

My husband had the pork steak which was very good. I tried the Haddock ragout and it was FANTASTIC. Maybe not a dish you would think to order in a brew house, but definitely worth it. I loved that mine had those delightful dark cocktail cherries. The burger with bacon was excellent, as were the hand-cut fries (although I was disappointed that they didn't do truffle fries, especially since I could smell the truffle oil on the next-table-over's flatbread). I got a side salad with homemade blue cheese dressing that was generous with the cheese. They even provided our son a side of carrots and cucumbers with some ranch dip--he loved it! Good vibes and enjoyed the display of guitars! I did wish that they had had booths available, since our toddler was quite tired and we ideally wanted to hang out for longer while he took a snooze.

A party this large could be something that frazzled the staff but not the crew at Sawyer, they were so nice! It was our first time here so we were curious about the diffrent beers. They let us try as many as we liked and they were all delicious. They had a peach sour that was fantastic. They also have a ton of delicious ipa's and a few different non alcoholic drinks. I was shook with a party so large how fast they got all of our food. I really appreciate that I can't do dairy so I asked if I could have the cheese for the nachos on the side. They did this but to my disappointment it was basically just chips and meat. Not their fault since I modified it. What I really appreciated though was I asked since there's no cheese could you bring me some salsa for it. They lovingly did this, and a big bowl too!l What excellent customer service. The vibe there is super cool and plenty of seating both inside and out! I would 100% recommend this brewery!!!

Bonus Stop, not on the Hop Passport (yet?)…read more I'm going to have to start with agreeing with another reviewer on the credit card policy. We prefer to pay cash with small businesses to keep them from having to pay credit card fees (or us for that matter, if the fees are passed on to the consumer) but that seems to be unacceptable here. I completely understand having a card on file for keeping a tab open but it makes zero sense to require a card when someone wants to pay cash. We ordered a flight and wanted to pay cash but were told they needed a credit card regardless, just in case. Just in case what? I'm paying for my order before I get it. I would then be free to leave when I choose without additional work for staff or, well, me. Especially since there is indeed a credit card fee here, since we were told the cash price on closing out exactly what we initially ordered - "just let me pay and be done with it" (quoting the hubs). I'd seriously rethink that policy. On to the beer, there were a couple of stand outs, including our favorites the Dark Lager & Mouse Trap. As well as middle of the road brews, falling in the 3 range. We loved the collabs. It's always great to see businesses support each other. There are pizzas on the menu that looked pretty interesting but, circling back to point 1, we were annoyed enough by the credit card requirement that we opted for 1 & done, unfortunately. Note: there's some awesome merch &, I believe, meat for sale. Super cool.
