I visited Black Dog Gallery completely by accident--after a trip to visit the doctor, we felt like something to eat and drink and there it was, tucked away with a few other shops on Greenhill Road. It was between breakfast and lunch, and there are some things I can't eat (eggs), so I pondered for a while before making my choices. My companion had a skinny cappucino which she found a little too strong for her liking. However, I opted for the ham, salad and kewpi mayonaise bagel and it was delicious, a wonderful blend of flavours on a piping hot fresh bagel. We both tried the deserts as well, my companion had a lemon curd tart and I had a salted chocolate tart. Both were delicious. The prices here are very good and the service is friendly and cheerful. The decor is lovely and very understated and overall, I would be delighted to visit and eat here again. If you're in the area, do drop by and see just how tasty the food is!

Tucked away in the corner of a busy street, it's easy to miss this cosy cafe so don't forget to turn your head to check if you're driving along Greenhill Road. A friend and I decided to catch up over something new and different so we dropped by Black Dog Gallery on a busy Sunday afternoon. We were lucky to have the last available table. We ordered the Negi Miso Ramen, which came in a large bowl. This could fill up 2 people if you're not feeling too hungry. I felt like this Ramen was too ordinary and wouldn't have it a second time. The Green Tea Pancakes on the other hand, was absolutely amazing. Perfect way to start off the day! And if you're craving for more Matcha, they do serve a variety of green tea and matcha latte. The only thing I would recommend them is to serve their green tea lattes a bit hotter, especially when the days are getting colder. The cafe also has quite an authentic vibe to it. Fortunately there were a few Japanese dining in store, it's easy to forget that you're dining in Adelaide!

It's next to the Norwood Concert Hall and easy walking distance. Brick and Motar creative had a special event on for and I was lucky enough to attend on of these workshop free events. This place is open 7 days a week from Mon-Sat 8.30-5, Sun 10-4. Independent design stores, creative workspaces, cafe, workshops + events. 49 George St, Norwood South Australia. I attended a ESTY Craft workshop and had to register online to get a placement. I attended a Friday night on the 17.06 from 6pm to 9pm. The theme was stationary, where each person receives free materials, instructions and guidance to make old-school paper stationery such as notepads, books, zines and notebooks, travel books, and it was all about being creative and book binding. This was a great social event, as many of us never bound books/note books by hand, it the guests and staff helped each other to complete out selected activity. I was greeted at the front door, received a name tag and greeted by more friendly and helpful staff. The place was cleaned, well situated and laid out with a workshop area and retail area and coffee/cafe area. We guests and customers and work on their projects while purchasing coffee/wine or nibbles. I made a japanese binding book and a traveller's note book, by selecting different papers, materials, stickers and then had to bind the book together with needle and thread. It was a fantastic experience and will probably do this again. It was fun if you are into arts and craft and social mingling. There are other events coming up, so head to their website as you can sign up for workshops/events to make soaps, stationary items, paper flowers etc or just come along to view the exhibitions and displays. Thumbs up! http://www.brickandmortarcreative.com.au/ .
