As most people mentioned, the food was good and the service was better than expected. However, we were totally surprised when our bill came, and we saw we were charged 2.50 Euros per person marked as VARIOS. The host explained that this was a "tourist tax" charged only to non Spanish people. We hesitantly paid the check, but when we returned to the hotel, we asked the receptionist who informed us that this charge was not customary. It's angering that a restaurant would brazenly rip off a customer and put a damper on otherwise a pleasant meal.
