My husband got the big breakfast and I got grilled chicken. Both were good. It was a ugly day out and they didn't mind us hanging out trying to figure out a plan. A few more people came in but it was never crowded. Looks like it has a great outdoor area but with the weather we stayed inside. If back in the area we would stop again.

Even the menu for 'smaller appetites' was not a lot different. The pub is pleasantly laid out, and has fairly attractive decor. The loos were very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful, ie they'll start a tab or suggest it, without nabbing your card. They make sure your table is clean and that what you need is there. It seems to be a mobile phone black spot! Perhaps a good thing, although mine did start ringing although I had no signal. (!!!???) So really it's the pricing that bugs me.

We always take his own food with him when we eat out. We order and the waitress says its fine for him to eat his packed lunch. 2 minutes later a man, who we assume was the manager, comes out to say he can't eat his own food. We explain his disability but he doesn't care. He tells us it's illegal for him to eat his own food - it's not (it is not illegal but the restaurant is there to sell its own food so can refuse you permission to consume your own food on the premises). We ended up cancelling our order and leaving the almost empty restaurant. We paid £10 for drinks, which we didn't drink, and our food order would have come to around £70 ( more if we'd had puddings) and he refused to see that he was refusing to make an adaptation, for someone with a disability (my grandson is registered as disabled) and just kept telling us it was against the law. This man was not just ignorant about invisible disabilities but came out aggressive and rude. I would avoid this place, like the plague, if you need any adaptations for special needs or support and care about those who have them

Would not recommend at all. Horrible place and horrible people
