I recently found Bitfire Studios online when looking for a space to hold a fundraising event for the 30th Anniversary of my theater company, Artistic New Directions. My initial conversations were with the wonderful and informative Celeste, who provided me with all the space details, and scheduled a same-day location walkthrough. Upon my arrival I met the owner, Clint Hild, who was extremely gracious, and the two of them walked me through the space. My requirements, while not elaborate, called for a video presentation, live auction and event space, as well as stationary food and bar areas. Clint and Celeste happily discussed ways to rearrange the space, showed me the Apple and PC ready projector and screen, and discussed how to make the white cyc work as a presentation area. Over the next few weeks, any questions I had were promptly and enthusiastically answered, and I was able to schedule as many walkthroughs for my planning team as we needed, often with very little advance notice. It was the second or third time I visited the space that I met another of Clint's rock star staff members, Lauryn, who became my liaison for the rest of the planning period. On the day of the event Lauryn was on hand during setup, coordinating with me and my team to ensure we had everything we needed, helping me set up my iPhone to the stereo system, as well as our wireless mic. She even produced a pair of Bose speakers to hook up to the computer presenting the video, once we realized my speakers were not sufficient to fill the space! As the event began, Celeste took over those responsibilities, checking in with me throughout the evening, ensuring we were well taken care of and supported. Despite my objections, she even insisted on helping us break down the event and clean up after the party! Our photographer for the evening had a blast working at Bitfire, snapping great shots of our guests on the white cyc, adding a feeling of fun and sophistication to the evening. From the Board of Directors, the sponsors and donors, to the guests and volunteers, hands down it was regarded as the very best event Artistic New Directions has ever had, and that is in large part because Bitfire Studios provided the ideal space and staff for the event. We were looking at other reviews (also on Clutch) which was not a good idea, I may say completely wrong because we feel they are mostly FAKE. We wanted to set up a clear ads strategy, let HTML Pro create and run our campaigns. 3 people from the vendor were involved. The outcome was ZERO! We've spent 2 months, paid 1,798 USD and our experience with HTML Pro was a nightmare. It was not just a waste of time but a waste of money too. The only "achievements" within two months time were: 1. Setting up Basecamp as an online collaboration tool 2. Dozens of e-mails sent back and forward 3. Two short video calls 4. Reminding us to pay the bills, while we paid already 5. Two shocking cheap examples of how Ads could look like 6. Fixing one little bug in our Google Analytics account Within 2 months' time, the HTML Pro Team was not able to set up our accounts on Facebook nor on Linkedin. No FB Pixel, No Linkedin Insight-Tag was installed nor working. Within 2 months' time, and spending 1,800 USD, the vendor still didn't understand our corporate identity, nor our strategy, nor our needs, no nothing. After two months we've stopped wasting our time and money. We've asked for a 50% refund because they didn't even achieve the first-month work promised. They refused it! The next day I call....after he has my money he tells me the photo is NOT printed, it will take AT LEAST 4 days to complete the order before he ships, etc. And a complete wise ass about it as well. This guys customer service and overall approach was complete trash. It is not hard to do much better for this type of service.
