I started with just a lash tint and later tried a lash lift, although it didn't make much difference because my lashes naturally curl upward. Eventually, I asked Katelin about extensions. She said, "Let's try it," and now I'm completely hooked! Katelin does an amazing job with my extensions. I never thought I would be someone who wore them, but I absolutely love them. My entire makeup routine now takes about 30 seconds: 20 seconds to brush out my lashes and brows, and 10 seconds to apply lip tint. That's it! She responded to my inquiry text right away and a few texts later, I was all booked! Her studio is inside the John of Italy Salon. Parking lot is big and right next to entrance, so that's easy. Inside the space are floor to ceiling windows, so there is a ton of natural light, which definitely helps Hidi give you the best, most flawless application. I asked her for brown/golden smokey glam and she absolutely nailed it. Throughout the appointment she would hand me the mirror to check-in and make sure I was happy with how things were progressing, which was super nice. Each time she handed me the mirror, I was more and more in love with her work. By the end of the appointment, I was literally staring at myself in the mirror in awe and feeling/looking like a million bucks. She also did light styling on my hair and gave me soft, gorgeous waves. Honestly, I walked out of the salon, looking like a movie star. The event was super hot and everyone was sweating, but miraculously my makeup stayed put. She always does amazing work and it also just an all around great human. I look forward to talking to her throughout my appointments. Lashes: I was a newbie when I started getting lashes and honestly wanted something low maintenance so I could just "wake up and go" in the mornings without having to fuss with mascara. She walked me through the process and talked lengths with me prior to getting started. I felt super comfortable and like she knew what she was doing. She took her time and they look incredible every time! I've never had a fill that I didn't leave ultra happy with. Brows: I used and abused my brows (hello 90s thin line brows, I see you) and so it's been a struggle to get them to look how I want without several minutes and much patience in the morning drawing them in. Well, I'm all about the low maintenance and so Summer perfectly shapes and then tints my brows and I couldn't be happier, despite my previous disgust for my left eyebrow. After each appointment she shows me where still needs growth and where I absolutely cannot between appointment pluck if I want to have my left brow look like my beloved right brow. She's a perfectionist and I love that! Sugaring: What can I say. It's always awkward to introduce a new waxer/sugarer to the nether regions, but she's so professional and quick! She talks to you like it's NBD and it really isn't. It's my first experience with sugaring and I will never go back to wax for a Brazilian ever, ever again. Facials: I treat myself to a facial every few weeks and Summer recommended the perfect one for my skin and after each session, my skin is glowing and so incredibly clean. After talking with summer for a couple of minutes before lying right down on your table I felt extremely comfortable and excited to get started! Summer books were just enough time for me to do my lash lift but also scheduled some extra time in case I wanted to lamination which I found to be extremely thoughtful. Of course, when I saw how incredible my lashes look I was sold on the brow lamination! I especially loved that summer was so open with me telling me about all the different brow treatments that possibly would be a good fit for me I never felt pressure to have my brows laminated or to do anything that I didn't feel comfortable doing- Summer does not come off like a salesperson in any way it just feels like you're talking to an expert friend who's guiding you through the process!
