I've been following Sandy for years, tried and true. She is hands down the best in Ventura County. She always listens to my requests and delivers perfectly every single time. I went in about a few days ago to get my eye brows threaded and tinted. Firstly, my stylist tried to finish her eye brow threading job when clearly both her eye brows were UNEVEN, and when I brought it to her attention she blamed it on the eyebrow shape WHICH SHE MADE. It doesn't help the situation that she looked completely fed up and made me feel uncomfortable about asking her kindly to even out my eyebrows. Then when she put on the eye brow tint, she put it on so messy and put the dye on parts where my eye brow hairs were nowhere near!! In addition, I went in on Tuesday June 24th, and today is June 27 and the tint looks practically faded and back to my original color!!! I am completely unhappy and now she is stuck with uneven eyebrows and no tint. This is not the first time I was left unhappy. read more

Absolutely love this place! So people know this place for threading but they don't know that Sandy also does a lot of other services. About 6 years ago I came here a lot for eyebrow threading and found it high quality and affordable. During COVID I stopped getting anything done for a while. Then, I started having significantly more gray hair of course and started dyeing my hair/getting reddish highlights at salons. I loved being able to cover my grays but no matter what hair dye I tried, I kept having an allergic reaction (including Madison Reed). My friend who is a dermatologist recommended henna to dye my hair instead but no regular salons do it so I asked for recs on Nextdoor and one of my neighbors recommended 5 Wild Hairs! I remembered the owner is Indian so I thought ding ding, this makes sense that they would know about henna for hair! I called and talked to Sandy, the owner and she told me all about henna and that people generally don't know about it or don't use it if they don't like reddish color. She mostly does henna hair for her Indian clients but she looked at my similar thick dark East Asian hair and said it would work perfectly to cover my grays too as long as I'm ok with reddish tint. Well, the reddish color is what I've wanted to get all along! So she's been doing my hair for a few months now and let me tell you, henna is a game changer. My frizz and dandruff are gone. My hair is smooth, has a reddish tint in the sunlight, and my grays are covered. I still get my threading done there too. Couldn't ask for better. I called in the morning to confirm that she accepted walk-ins for eyebrow threading and provided a 30-minute time frame that I was planning on dropping by. Unfortunately when I got there, she had stepped out for lunch and I had to wait in the parking lot for at least 30 minutes. However, she was at least apologetic about making me wait. I've gotten my eyebrows threaded by some intimidating people in the past, but she was really nice! She even took the time to re-thread some areas she had missed. Initially, my eyebrows looked a little more thin than I was used to and I still had to go back with tweezers to clean up some areas she had missed. However, after about 1 week my eyebrows have thickened up and I like the way she shaped them! Price is pretty standard ($14). It was an ok experience, but I probably would not go out of my way to come here. read more
