New Meadows is my car mechanic of choice, and Joe (the mechanic) is my car's best friend…read more I have tried many mechanics around the north shore and have finally settled on these guys. It is always a drag to have car problems, but New Meadows relieves some of the stress and worry. They are very reasonable with their prices. If there was nothing to fix, then there was nothing to pay! They provide their expert opinions while still listening to your needs and never pressuring you into extensive work. They are smart and know their stuff which means less time poking around and guessing. Most of all, I trust Joe- I can just tell he is an honest guy. One time, my car was making strange noises and Joe and i drove around the block together to listen to the sounds. Now that's service! My car has visited them probably 6-7 times in the last 3 years. I am now living in Newbury and working in Cambridge, but I am still finding a way to bring my car here.

I limped my Jeep into Sudbay dealership and they took my Jeep in immediately to look at it. Dre, in Sales even took us to a local restaurant, dropped us off and then picked us up when we were through. The Jeep was fixed in less than two hours (was a bad thermostat), and we were back on the road. Many thanks to the Service Team and Dre for helping us out in our time of need. We really appreciate it!

One would think the "detailed inspection" would have found those corrosion issues. I guess not.

Mini Cooper and RAV4 Work I have had done at Allman's : Brakes, welding, exhaust, tires, electrical, fuel issues, lights, pumps, oil, coolant, and transmission fluid changes and I'm sure there was more I don't remember. They are honest, fair, and competent. These boys know cars and will always help you out. I'd give six stars if I could. They will take photos of damage or issue areas before repair and text it to you before fixing if you require it. They have text reminders and emails to keep you up on your car before during and after repairs. They have after hour key drop off. When you get your oil changes they do a thorough inspection to find all of the issues you may have and rate them in stop light fashion( super helpful for budget planning your repairs) My family would be in bad shape without these guys. I had a recent experience where I brought my car in that could have been repaired (that's how they get paid), they put it up on the lift and said "it's time" knowing I dumped a lot into it in the last year and this repair would require a lot more. They could have said yeah fix it and out goes my cash, but they didn't they were honest and legit. They would have done the repairs no problem if I had asked but they did what they thought was best for me. It was an aging SUV with 170k and things were getting grim underneath. I would not consider going elsewhere. They take my calls and fix my stuff A freaking plus BOOM!

This summer she had a serious failure which dictated a trip on a roll-back for evaluation. After a day or 2 of extensive diagnosis, they found that it had a failed turbo with an impeller making very minor housing contact (only at temp). Turbo replaced as well as some other needed work and she was out-the-door at a cost MUCH LESS than the local dealer (who thru this service we STRONGLY SUSPECT was NOT changing oil as requested as the oil was broken down and led to a low oil-pressure) who we now will NEVER TRUST. Jack the owner went out-of-his-way during this process and even gave me his cell in the event that we needed anything. Subsequent visits have only made this Dad & gearhead trust and love him more. Yes he's a New Englander and you expect that - duh. Understand him, work with him, and if you can't trust him and his shop it's likely YOUR issue and not his! Oh - he also has a guru of a ECU / computer / electrical tech who also teaches at MIT. He's got talent here who can flat be trusted.

My experience with Justin the salesman, Richard the general manager, and even mr Camino the owner has been phenomenal! This dealership was the last to have the vehicle I was looking for. They are even coming in on a Sunday to meet me, since I'm flying in to pick up the car. I felt like they really went out of their way to make me a happy customer, and I felt kinda like family. They had ZERO shady antics! Buying a car in Florida can be horrible........, but in Wilmington??? It's magical! I cannot sing their praises enough!
