    Grilled octopus tentacle

Stopped by our 2nd night in Chamonix at 7pm but the place was full with reservation so we made a reservation for the following night. We're not disappointed. Hubby ordered the black angus ribeye rare and I had the swordfish. We shared a grilled octopus tentacles for starter. The octopus was super tender with dressing of capers and tiny bell peppers and sprinkled with bits of charred meat almost like bacon. The ribeye was tender, moist and delicious and came with a choice of sauces and he picked the blue cheese. Excellent choice! The sword fish was firm and lightly grilled, and paired with a tomato salsa which that was garlicky with a slight heat. I finished it. Although both came with a side salad, we still ordered a side salad of beets with Gorgonzola cheese. It was warm and very delicious. For dessert, we shared a chocolate mouse with raspberry and chocolate biscuit. All in all the food was delicious. The service was excellent. Highly recommend the place but probably should make a reservation unless you don't mind eating after 8.

Went to this restaurant after finishing the Tour du Mont Blanc and absolutely loved it! Our table sat against the large windows and had a lovely view of the river. My fish tasted so fresh and was seasoned just the right amount, and my friend loved the vegetarian curry. We shared a chocolate brownie/caramel popcorn/berry/hazelnut dessert that was so unique and delicious -- an unexpected but perfect pairing of flavors

Entrance to the restaurant. Off the main busy streets of Chamonix, but only a minute walk from the center of town.

Bizes is a great restaurant that provides an excellent quality of food and great service. It is a nice break from the rest of the same cafes, pizzerias, and french restaurants that serve mediocre food and Rob the wallets Chamonix tourists. The chef was very hospitable and provided some good laughs throughout dinner. The waitress spoke French and English and accommodated us efficiently. We highly recommend making reservations as the restaurant only serves a limited amount of tables per night. They do that to ensure proper customer service and fresh food for all of their customers. They source everything on a daily basis so that their food is tasting as fresh as possible. My wife and I shared the prawns for the appetizer. The smoky taste mixed with the aoli made the prawns an excellent selection. The table next to us ordered the scallops and by the looks of it, I almost ordered another appetizer of scallops as well. For our mains, I had the Iberico Pork and my wife had the portabello mushroom w/artichoke. Both were excellent selections and we're very fresh. My pork was cooked medium and was delicious. We highly recommend this place and would be back if we weren't leaving tomorrow!

My favorite place I went to in Chamonix. Is it totally fancy? No. Does it have the best food in town? Yes. We tried a number of bars, delis, and very classy restaurants while we were in Chamonix. Bizes took the cake...in fact, we cancelled our reservation elsewhere a few nights into our trip and returned to Bizes. For vegetarians, the smoked mozzarella is to die for, the portobello is divine, the coconut curry is also a delicious choice. Further, go in on the (VERY reasonably priced) sides, like the green beans and feta. Here's a picture of my second night there, when we I got the grilled haloumi and some vegetables. All in all, this place is AMAZING.

Wow!!! This is one of those places where I don't want to rate them highly because I want it all to myself:)! That would be unfair to the great staff and anyone reading this review, though. Amazing food, great staff and an unbelievable setting. Don't miss it...

Sooool yummmmy, delicious home made food, not fancy but very good food. Next to the tuorquoise river you can have lunch with a nice vew of the river. We had the daily menu, it was really tasty.. in to words: COMFORT FOOD

    Veal chop!

Absolutely delicious. I had the veal steak with potatoes and salad. Farm to plate. Local ingredients. Perfectly cooked. The chef is a genius. Most delicious meal in town. Gormet!

Owner Sanne always with fresh homemade food and big smile!

Loved the view of the river. They were able to provide both delicious vegan options and accommodate my friend's onion/garlic allergy.

Great food, ambience and service. I had the stuffed portobellos and my husband had the swordfish - both were excellent. A memorable meal!

Veg biryani (3/5) - more like turmeric rice with carrots, zucchini, beans. Not bad but not biryani. 3. Aaloo paratha (3/5)- looked 5/5 but the flavor was on the plain side. Overall pretty good taste , other than rotten peppers. Service: 3/5. 2 point deduction because of the following reason- One waiter came and asked how the food was. I responded that the bell peppers were rotten. He goes inside comes back and says that they weren't rotten. I had one piece of untouched red bell pepper which I asked him to taste because every single piece of red bell peppers were rotten. He takes it inside saying he will taste it , comes back and says it was good. My response was- " you are used to eating like that". My point is, he came and asked for feedback. If he didn't want to acknowledge that some food was rotten then he should have not asked. By him saying it was not rotten doesn't make the food fresh. He basically wanted to prove that I was lying. The norm in food industry is to acknowledge customer feedback and ask if they would want a different dish or waive the price. I wanted neither as I had eaten the entire dish. My feedback was more informational than any demand. Anyway, I would highly advise to avoid eating here if you are starting your hike. You don't want to be food poisoned. Otherwise, food flavors were ok. And yes, no point providing the feedback.
