Bixby Electric Inc. (BEI) is a New Mexico Corporation engaged in electrical construction, testing, and service. The company's main office and yard are located in Albuquerque, New Mexico with an area of operation spanning the state of New Mexico and the Western Navajo Reservation in Arizona.
Our Service Department is available 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.
Our Service Department provides service and maintenance not only to industrial, commercial, and residential customers, but also provides airfield lighting, traffic signal, and roadway lighting maintenance and emergency service to state and local agencies. Additionally, many of our construction and service technicians maintain MSHA certifications for mine and pit work.
History
Established in 1988.
Bixby Electric was founded as Bixby Builders in Fort Sumner, New Mexico by Bruce Bixby as a small builder that self-performed its electrical work. The company's first projects consisted primarily of new and remodel commercial building work and small commercial electrical projects. When the company began working at Cannon Air Force Base the type of work changed to include infrastructure type projects, specifically airfield lighting and medium voltage installations. In the early 1980's the company relocated to Albuquerque, and by 1988 Bixby had transformed to solely an electrical contractor and incorporated as Bixby Electric Inc. A Service Department was initiated as a separate Division in 2006, directed primarily to commercial, industrial, and government accounts. We still self-perform most of our concrete work and often build small structures required by our construction projects.

Meet the Business Owner: Bruce B.
The President and Principal of Bixby Electric is Bruce Bixby. He holds an engineering degree from New Mexico State University and has over thirty years experience in electrical construction, both as a journeyman and a contractor. Bruce holds general and specialty contractor licenses in New Mexico, as well as electrical and electrical distribution licenses. He is a past president of the Northern New Mexico Independent Electrical Contractors' Association.
