It has an eclectic atmosphere, but very spacious. We sat close to the bar and had great service!!! We started with the fried cheese balls because yelper Andrew said we must! They were unique, with a ritz cracker coating and a warm gooey pimento cheese on the inside! My son got the kids chicken tenders, fries and bbq. He loved them. Hubby and I each got a panini. This nice restaurant is located in the heart of Marianna. Decor is informal with worn and moderns pieces mixed in together and a delightful mural of a pink flaming and a palm tree in the main dinning hall. There is another dining area a few steps up. Staff is friendly and diligent. We got our appetizer 10 minutes after ordering. The wait to get our entrees was about 40 minutes. We ordered the Mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce for an appetizer and two fountain drinks. Hubby ordered the Bistro burger with fries and I the chicken tenders and fries. His burger was tasty and large and my tenders were ok. Our fries were thin curly with seasoning. The food was good and the price tag was $50 with tip. My son and I were looking for a local place to eat while in the area and this did not disappoint! We were greeted by Angela, who was an absolute gem of a server! We started with the mozzarella sticks which were perfectly crisp on the outside and super cheesy on the inside. My son got the turkey panini which was stacked high and perfectly pressed! The fries were perfectly crisp outside and fluffy on the inside and the seasoning was on point! Probably the best we've ever had! I got a mushroom madness pizza which was made fresh and put in the pizza oven right in front of us. It had a beautiful white sauce with lots of different cheeses and fresh mushrooms. Quirky little place in a town that I believe only exists due to the Cavern Park nearby. Everyone was super friendly, from the hostess, to servers, to I believe the owner, and the people inside. Odd decorations. A pillow hanging from the ceiling among other things and some outdated furniture, but I can't ding them for that. Great Mushroom pizza! My friends and I came here after going to the Florida Caverns. They had an event going on in the main hall, so we were sitting outside with only one fan, which was fine at the time. They gave us water and then it took them 15 minutes to take our food order. The food was good overall, but we waited over 40 minutes for sandwiches. The tables were dirty all around us since they started seating people inside. What made this review so low was the wait time, the dirty tables, and the fact that they were moving people to the area that came after us inside and not even offering us to go inside! read more

Husband and I were there yesterday for dinner and we both ordered the 10 ounce sirloin. What a disappointment, compared to the last time we had fillet there this steak was terrible. We will not be ordering steak there again. I couldn't finish it and brought it home to feed the cats. I'm not sure what has changed, but don't wast your money on the sirloin. A good cook can take a cheep cut of meat and make it tender and flavorful! Whoever is cooking there now doesn't know what they are doing or just don't care! read more

When we asked a question about what was in one of their items we were quickly and shortly told she didn't know and it would take a minute to find out because she was the only server. Waited almost an hour for a pizza even though the restaurant was not busy. The rest of our table had finished eating well before the pizza came out. Prices are different on the menu that what comes up on the register and I felt that the staff was not easy to work with when this was pointed out to them. This cute little place has reopened. When I say cute I mean not what you would expect in a little Florida town I haven't seen a place like this since I was at The Stinking Rose in San Francisco. They offer inside and outside seating. We were going to sit outside until we saw the inside bar which was in front of the brick pizza oven. We enjoyed Bloody Mary and mimosas while watching pizzas to go being made. In the end we ordered a white mushroom pizza, it was delicious. This place has a ricotta sauce they use on their pizza which takes it to a whole new level. We actually met the owner as well. He and the staff were very friendly. They just recently reopened and are working out some kinks but overall I'd come back. They are open every day but the closing times differ and they are planning live music on the weekends. Made the mistake of coming at one o'clock I guess. Blaring crappy country music. We went over to the newly renovated side because it was a little quieter. The person keeping the bar made eye contact and ignored us. So we went back over to the other side and when the server noticed us all was well. She was very sweet and kindly turned down the radio. Sorry to give such a low rating. And I am not saying I won't be back. I was so happy to see a small business in Marianna get there liquor licenses so fast. My husband and I came in on Friday, June 29th. There was live music so it was packed. We seated ourselves at the first table that was available. It took several minutes before a sweet young waitress asked if we had been waited on. We advised no and she apologized. We did turn in our drink order while we waited she brought us menus. Of course it took a while to get our drinks because the bar was backed up, per our waitress. Once we got our drinks she took our order and we ordered a pizza. I would say it was fifteen minutes later and the waitress came by to let us know she was waiting for our pizza and wanted to know if we needed anything. 10 minutes more would pass and I see a table next to ours has their pizza delivered and the waitress comes over to ask the cook who brought out the pizza about ours. The cook asked what was ours, at which my husband responded if you have not started it just cancel it and we would pay for our drinks. The cook literally told us that it only takes 3 minutes and that the food goes through the bar and the are backed up. So we paid for our drinks and were on our way. There are several things I think they need to work out. one is they only had three waitresses working the entire restaurant. second if your bar is backed up why do you have food going through the bar? I know not all the food was going through there because I saw people that ordered sandwiches or salads get their food very quickly. third I don't think anyone wants to hear that it literally takes 3 minutes for a pizza. I hope they get things worked out because we do not have many good restaurants in Marianna and not all of them have a full bar. I will give it another month and try it again. read more

I took a group of friends to Bistro Palms last week and we enjoyed one of the best meals we've had since moving to Marianna. First, our party started as only four people and continued to grow unexpectedly--a fact the staff agreeably accommodated, moving tables and handling the new arrivals two separate times with a smile. I think I felt worse about having to expand our seating than they did...lol. That aside, there was the food. My domestic partner is a vegetarian and was somewhat disappointed when he saw the menu didn't feature any specifically veggie options, but a quick question to the waitress proved that they do indeed offer up a veg panini that simply hadn't made the menu yet (apparently they might have new menus on the way?). Also, we discovered that pizza is only served on Friday nights--another disappointment, but one we quickly got over. So he ordered that and a side salad, I grabbed a roasted turkey panini and everyone else picked their own offerings from the menu (I'm uploading pics). Nothing was bad. In fact, his veggie panini was so good I ended up jealous that I hadn't ordered it--it had a beautiful house-made olive tapenade that was mouth-wateringly delish. Anyway, I also ordered up some of their salted caramel cheesecake while Ken had the Peanut Butter Pie. We seriously had a Facebook fight later as to who had the better desert...lol. His was a bit too sweet for my tastes, but he said mine was slightly too rich--I say he's nuts and he feels the same. They were both heavenly. The atmosphere in this place is fun and has a much more Central Florida vibe than other local places, which I love. The walls are covered in artwork and even the windows have cheerful flowers hanging in them. The only drawback we saw was that the soda choices were a bit limited and some of the drinks were in cans..but really who needs soda anyway? The tea was fresh and both the sweet tea and the unsweetened variety got good reviews from my friends, so I've given it 5 stars. read more

We stopped here for lunch. The waitress took our drink order shortly after we sat down. A few minutes passed and she didn't come back to take our lunch order. A family of six came in, then two more couples were seated. We waited as their orders were taken. Tried to get the waitress' attention, but she would check on other tables and go right back in the kitchen. 20 minutes pass and they start bringing food to the three tables that came after us. They were unexpectedly slammed during the lunch rush and I give big props to the wait staff who never stopped moving, kept drinks full once they arrived, and cycled food out quickly. I ordered the "gourmet grilled cheese", not sure how it qualified as "gourmet", basic American cheese on white bread, but it was good. I also ordered a side salad with the cranberry citrus vinaigrette, pretty good sized for a side and the dressing was great. The overall atmosphere of the bistro was bright, happy, and casual! I visit Marianna only for business trips. I have a lot of trouble finding a good place to eat and this is probably one of the very few places that serves decent food. It really bothers me to have to write a bad review, especially somewhere that is actually pretty good. I sat down to eat and I had a very rude lady who I believe was the owner approach me and tell me to put my 1 liter Evian water bottle in my purse or to throw it away. As a decent person you would say excuse me miss we don't allow outside beverages can you please put away the water bottle. That is why I will never be returning to that restaurant and why I will leave a negative review so that other people like myself who don't drink tapwater know that they can't bring their water bottle into the restaurant. read more
