Last night of our trip to Puerto Rico, we looked up for a vegetarian friendly place near Fajardo and came across this suspiciously high rated food truck just 5mins away from where we stayed. We had to check it out! Our server was very nice, they have a couple of tables and chairs for seating and it was breezy, being located next to the beach. They have a bunch of vegetarian options. We tried the chicken and vegetarian mofongo as well as empanadas which were good! We tried the coconut fries as well but did they were burnt and lacked flavor (hence 4 star) Overall the food was pretty good, Maria was very cheerful and heads up, it's a cash only place but they do have PayPal!

The best place to eat if your staying in Liquillo.. don't go anywhere else. The food is delicious and you can sit outdoors and enjoy. We came here on both days we were there as my daughter was like can we just eat here all the days. Food may take time but it's worth it.

VEGETARIANS COME HERE!! We were visiting from NY in December. Being a vegetarian I couldn't believe i got great food here. I ate vegetables stuffed in avocado. There were chickpeas and corns too $15. It was yummy. With side of sweet potato fries. We also got 1 shrimp stuffed avocado with side of yucca fries $17. There was also taro root soup which tasted great $5. The server was very considerate and asked about each thing what i could eat and what not. Like cheese etc. We were here after 6pm so it was dark and lighting was close to nothing. So i used my phone torch to see my food. I wish there was more light around. I like to see my food when i eat. Also this is cash and PayPal only place. Our bill was $41 + tip extra so i wouldn't say it's a $ place. But food tasted great. Parking is street side and was available plenty. Google maps might not give you exact location but we walked a little further and found this kiosk.

Paid 14 dollars for 2 groupe tacos from a food truck, which is the most expensive tacos in my life, been waiting in the dark rainy night for 45 minutes!!! For an to go order Only two tacos!!! Then when arrived at hotel, there was NO tacos at all, I only got pineapple veggies Not the fish taco I've been craving for, nor even could I see a piece of meat. SO DISAPPOINTED!

Made a quick decision for a bite to eat, and we could not have a made a better decision in our entire time in Puerto Rico. This unassuming food truck is serving up some of the most unique fare in the area. Our server, Natalie, was more than friendly and made excellent suggestions off the menu. We had cheese empanadas (bomb), stuffed pineapple chicken (bomb.com), and chicken and shrimp mofungo (tomthebomb.com). Try the passionfruit, guava, pineapple juice (a Natalie special), you will not be underwhelmed. - For that special kick, go to the liquor store down the block and get a half pint of rum and make that juice pop. And to the important stuff...fries. we tried coconut fries, fried strips of coconut...excellent choice for something unique but don't order it expecting that fry satisfaction. Overall, just do it. Just f-ing do it.

This is the place you drive out of your way for. This place gets the distinct honor of my making the best tacos I've ever had and the best plantains. It's a tiny food trailer but don't be deceived the flavors that come out of it are big and tasty! Came here with my family and the beach side setting is the perfect place to enjoy some of the best flavors in Puerto Rico! The coconut mint lemonade is also a must! We loved this place! Fantastic food and super friendly guys making some amazing food.

I really wanted to have a good experience at Bistro Del Mar. We waited until the last leg of our trip to come here. We waited about 45 min until the truck showed up. Marina and her crew were very nice. We ordered several different empanadas, the pineapple & avocado veggie dish and the grouper ceviche. The empanadas were delicious. But sadly, l I ended up with severe Montezuma's revenge. I'm pretty sure it was the grouper since I was the only one who had it and the only one who got sick. My instinct was to have the steak. I should have stuck to that. I'm sad to not have had the incredible experience I was craving. It was just my bad luck.

THE STUFFED PINEAPPLE WITH CHICKEN IS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I HAVE EVER TASTED IN MY LIFE. This place is legit Puerto Rican culture at its finest. Delicious authentic foods being served at beach front location with genuine, kind workers serving you and going out of their way to make your meal and your entire stay as best as possible. Will be back for every dinner while we are in area.

I have been struggling to find somewhere to eat that had flavoring/ textures I enjoyed, Then I came upon Bistro Del Mar. Hands down, delicious. Excellent flavor. We had a stuffed avocado with steak and yucca fries, stuffed pineapple with chicken and sweet plantains, and a chicken empanada. All were delicious. Did not disappoint.

I remember eating at Marina's food truck en Las Croabas a few years back and thought to myself, "This food was prepared with love." I recently was back in Puerto Rico and visited the truck en La Pared and the quality was better than ever. The dedication and knowledge to her craft and the customer service from her crew was impecable. Another great find outside of El Conquistador gates. Just a short walk and you'll find simple delicious food served from a truck. Owner couldn't be nicer and the food couldn't be better. Had the stuffed avocado with steak, a variety of empanadas and some ice cold cheap beer. Best and cheapest meal we have had yet. Loud fun outdoor atmosphere (maybe too loud with all the generators running a host of different stands in addition to this one. Home made hot sauces round out the special touches. Marina did it right with this food stand This stop is well worth it.

We had taken the ferry from culebra and we saw bistro del mar on Yelp, it looked amazing so we decided to check it out. Thank goodness we did! Marina was extremely personable! The food was made to order. And the food was delicious. We ordered two empanadas and a steak quesadilla, so good! If you are in the area, or even if your not, check it out! read more

If you're in Fajardo, Bistro del Mar is a must-visit! I was with a group of friends, and I am vegetarian. So, when I saw the menu for Bistro del Mar, I was determined to eat here. When we got there, I was thrilled to see the never-ending food options they had! The food was definitely incredible, but the hospitality was even better! So so good! My husband and I just returned from a kayaking trip in the bio bay and we popped in this tiny little shack but what attracted us were not only the smells but the chefs dancing and having a good time cooking! We had mofongo relleno with ceviche and a ceviche wrap with their AMAZING homemade coconut sauce. I wish they sold that sauce in bottles I would have bought one! Make sure you grab a mini medalla they're only a buck! Very welcoming and a great place to hang. It was fantastic read more

Came here with a friend and tried a lot of what the restaurant has to offer. As the dinner progress, you learn ro fall in love, even with the garnish sauce. Turnovers were amazing, quesadilla as well. The yucca and the sweet potato fries were everything you can hope they are. And the chef/owner is a great person. read more

Coconut fries are out of this world! Stuffed avocado is cheesy and has good sauce on top, including beet juice and soy sauce. Empanadas are very good! The people there are nice, and there's a great view of the ocean! read more

What a meal! Based on what I just ate I can almost guarantee that everything they make will be just delicious. I ordered the steak stuffed tostones and my boyfriend had a ck and a beef empanada. Both really good. I love food trucks and this one deserves all the stars. Service is on point, friendly and fast. If you are around doing the bio bay tour make some time for it you won't regret it. If you are just passing by this wonderful town of Fajardo is worth the drive to Las Croabas and taste their wonderful food. I want more now!!!! read more

How could we have missed this over the years! Stumbled upon it a half hour before closing time. Spectacular, fresh local food. We joined the Yelper crowd and ordered pineapple stuffed with shrimp with a side of tostados and a plate of fish tacos. Service was warm and friendly. May have to go back tomorrow to try other menu items. The owner want to start a restaurant. Hope a visionary backer sweeps in! read more

I hesitate to write this review because I don't know if I can do Bistro Del Mar justice. This is hands down the best food we've had in Puerto Rico and the reviews are exactly on point- the food is amazing, the people are even better, and the flavors are something that you'll dream about for days to come. This is the food I love to find wherever I travel- the coconut rice with mahi mahi was beautifully plated (even on styrofoam it was impressive!), wonderfully flavored, and just all around delicious. Even the slaw on the side was worth writing home about. My spouse's trifongo with mahi was the best mofongo we've had hands down! The beautiful scenery, availability of great cocktails, and a local flair make this food truck/food trailer one of our most surprising and delightful finds. Thanks Bistro Del Mar! read more

If you are in Fajardo you need to try Bistro Del Mar. We had churrasco quesadilla, avocado stuffed with grouper and octopus quesadilla. The octopus quesadilla was awesome. Plan on spending some time there each meal is cooked to order. 1 1/2 hours before bioluminescent kayak departure was what we needed. read more

YUM! This food truck is a great find! They has some awesome vegetarian options and a great vegan Mofongo. The coconut fries were suuuuuper yummy and really innovative. I've never had anything like that. I also had a great corn and black bean empanada. You can watch them fold them in the truck, which is really cool! They also have a bunch of hot sauces which are fun to try out. If you are there for a Bio Bay tour, its definitely worth stopping by, we even drove in from the ferry terminal especially to go to Bistro Del Mar and it was TOTALLY worth it! read more

We were coming back from Vieques and taking the last ferry. We had a late lunch and didn't get back until 8 PM so we were looking for some quick eats. As you can see from the reviews they are very positive. Let me just tell you after one week of eating in various restaurants in Puerto Rico and Vieques this was by far the best meal I had. You aren't going to go wrong with anything on that menu. If you don't eat here you're making a big mistake. read more

The owner & her asst.? were both so friendly and personable! My boyfriend and I enjoyed some empanadas here last night after going on a bioluminescent Bay kayak tour. Wish we'd had an appetite for more because those empanadas rocked! I had the beef empanada, while my boyfriend had the bbq pulled pork empanada. Very reasonable prices for the quality (fresh, not sitting under a heat lamp all day like other places), and fast friendly service! read more

I have tried every "fine dining" establishment at El Conquistador and they were all terrible. Marina's food truck had delicious LOCAL food. It's only a 5 minute walk from the hotel- located on the Bio Bay. Definitely go check her out! read more

This place is to DIE for!!! Delicious food with local flare and at a super reasonable price. We ordered the ceviche, the octopus stuffed avocado, and mahi mahi tacos and they did not disappoint. It does take a minute to get your food, but be patient, because it is well worth it! Just remember that it is CASH ONLY and you are set! And don't forget to try the house made mango hot sauce -- so yummy! read more

We are back tonight for the second time in a few days bc I've been dreaming of this food since we were here two days ago! We've had the stuffed avocado, octopus mofongo, quesadillas and empanadas. All of it is to die for. The kids gobbled it up. Best food we've had in PR by far. Top your dinner off with the Nutella and banana empanadas- worth every calorie! read more

Easily the best meal I've had in Puerto Rico. If you're vegan I also highly recommend. I had the veggie stuffed avocado and tomato and avocado empanada with homemade coconut hot sauce. My mother had the stuffed pineapple with chicken and coconut fries on the side. It's worth coming here for the coconut fries alone. My boyfriend had the steak quesadilla and chicken empanada and could have easily had about five more. Definitely worth stopping. read more

These guys made delicious vegan food for us. We had vegetable stuffed pineapple, avocado, and mofongo. They made everything to order and made different vegetable combos to suit our individual tastes. The homemade pepper sauce was fantastic and the coconut fries were perfect. We went twice during our short stay. The location with tables and chairs set up right by the beach with a steady evening breeze and the setting sun was delightful. read more

This food was DELICIOUS. I'm sure I gained five pounds but it was worth it. The drawback that I did have is that the service can be kind of slow if there's a crowd. I had coco fritas ( amazing), and two empanadas carne & pollo. Those empanadas are out of this world. I made a mess in my car because I refused to not eat them while driving home. Well worth it after taking a bio bay tour. read more

The food here was terrible. I don't get this place and how Yelp allowed the owner give herself a 5 Star review. Where to start the empanadas where grease the tostones where the most grease of all . I can tell if a fish is fresh on a ceviche and this fiish tasted like frozen cat fish. The octopus tasted like squid tentacles so hard and fishy. I cant give less than because is not allowed. Dishonestly by selling frozen cheap seafood is the reason of my intended 0 stars. read more

This place is awesome!!!! Milinda is awesome chef and puts her heart and soul into the food she prepares. My family and I have been in Puerto Rico for 3 days and by far this has been the best food yet. The ceviche is soooo good. The avocado here is creamy, sweet. Every item at this food truck is delicious. We were staying in an adjacent resort, very nice resort. However, the food isnt that great at the resort, so we went walking to find better food. The resort food is like $30 for a hamburger.....Ughh. Chain restaurant stuff. We wanted food that was worthwhile. We found this place among other food trucks. We got lucky. Like I said, the food is amazing and the Milinda and her staff are even more so. She was so nice, she even personally took us, my family, back to the resort. This is 6 star service!!!
